My home office computer kept freezing and finally stopped responding. When I called, a tech came within 24 hrs. Service was prompt, courteous, competent and professional. The tech explained the problem and gave me options for what to do. When I asked them to replace the motherboard, they quickly found a new one at a very good price and ordered it. They were responsive to my need for a quick turnaround and returned the computer to me within days. I am very satisfied with their service and would refer others to them.

My old computer was slow, my Internet connection was slow. Rent-A-Techie specialist examined the computer and advised me that, given its age (8 years), its processor speed, and requirements of installed software, the computer cannot possibly perform any better. Slowliness of Internet connection is not caused by my computer, but by the service provider. His advise: do not spend any money on this computer, consider buying a new one, with up to date technology, I had been considering the purchase of a laptop; he advised me on what should be the characterists and specifications of a good laptop, and the approximate price (for that first visit, as a new customer, I got a rebate on the hourly rate). I bought a laptop based on these recommendations, and asked Rent-A-Techie to set it up for me, activate installed software, provide a wireless mouse, and set up a wireless connection with my printer, so that the laptop can send documents to print from any room of the house. Both specialists paid attention to my needs and expectations, were efficient in their work, and clear in their explanations. I will use them again, and recommend Rent-A-Techie without hesitation - especially to non-techies!

Excellent speed, cost matched estimate. Only slight negative was not all drivers and software was reinstalled that was suposed to be on original disks provided, but tech stated Dell had provided me an incorrect version for my computer model, so that may be involved. Tech seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Free telephone support is promised, apparently indefinitely. I have recommended the company to others, and one other person has also had an excellent experience with them.

We called them and they came out to our home on a Sat. Matt was exactly on time. He tried to recover here but had to take it with him. He explained everything they would do and what could possibly happen. Within 2 weeks he called and told us they were able to recover everything. He came back out on a Sat. and installed everything on my new computer. We got just what we wanted and in a timely manner. The price was reasonable considering they came to the home.
