Quality Painting

We contacted Quality Painting's owner, Marinko, for a consultation on getting the trim on our house painted. We made an appointment and Marinko arrived at the time we agreed on and he did an inspection and evaluation of the house and what it would need. We are both retired and not exactly young. He was very thorough in his inspection and he explained that we should consider getting the entire house painted instead of the trim. He walked through the process that would be used if we just wanted the trim painted or if we wanted the entire house painted painted. After a bad experience getting our roof done and the crew showing up not having anyone who spoke English, we asked if he had a crew that would be doing the painting. He said that he was a one man painting crew, does it all himself. Since we are under the thumb of an HOA, I mentioned that he would have to work to the guidelines and match the paint. We decided to go with getting the entire house painted and we agreed to a start date. We signed the document to get the job started and provided a partial payment to get supplies. In the interim we moved items away from the house to facilitate painting. On the agreed to date, Marinko showed up on time ready to get started. At least one of us would be home during the days he would be painting to answer questions of assist, if necessary. Once he started each day, he worked steady until mid afternoon when the heat was nearing it's peak for the day. Except for the day when his paint spray equipment broke where he could not repair it on the spot, he quietly took it step by step, power washing the entire house, patching cracks and holes in the stucco, detaching items from the stucco prior to painting. When his equipment quit working, after doing what he could without the paint spray equipment, he left for the day and returned the next day with a replacement paint setup.. Although the time to paint the house by Marinko may have taken more time than if a crew from a big name painter had showed up. I felt more comfortable working with Marinko as he was methodical and detailed in his approach and I feel we got an excellent paint job that will last for a long time.
