 + -1 moreinitially good: joint was reconnected using a smaller part. He told use there 2 sizes of plumbing and we needed to changed it all to one size we agreed he returned next day to completely change out the hook-ups. Everything seemed to be working well for the next week. Then it plugged up again within the week. They did run a snake and said something was caught in the pipe and charged us again. It has continued to back up in the sink' We never had recurring problems like this before. He charged use 3 times, the initial visit $184.25, the visit to change out the pipes $196.57 and a third time for running a snake for a problem that did not exist and did not solve the problem $235.25. the price just kept going up every visit. We thought that the 3rd visit should have fallen under a warranty instead of being more We will not use again.

 + -1 moreTyler and David came to my home to complete the installation of new gas pipes to my roof-top furnace/AC, exterior (enclosed) water heater, and my kitchen gas range. I was most concerned about the kitchen installation. Both men placed the new pipe, close to a corner so it could easily be painted and covered if I so chose. All of it, including the caulking at the ceiling, was very well executed as was the clean-up after the work. I would highly recommend retaining the services of Pioneer Plumbing.
Description of Work: SW Gas is in the process of relocating gas meters in my neighborhood. SW Gas contracted with Pioneer Plumbing to replace the existing gas lines, when needed, at each home. Since my home was built in 1947, some of the gas pipes had to be replaced to meet City of Tucson code requirements. At first I was very concerned about how my gas stove could be connected to the main gas pipes on the roof without it being quite intrusive in my small kitchen. Both Rene and Tyler quickly and completely understood my concerns and allayed my fears; they were so very professional, personable, and patient as I shared my ideas about the situation.

 + -1 morePioneer Plumbing had to take a jackhammer to open the concrete foundation where the leak was supposed to be, dug down about 3 feet but encountered no evidence of a leak at the marked location. That location later turned out to be wrong. They filled the hole back up and added cement to seal the foundation. Cost= $940 Five days later they returned to fix the leak at a newly marked location, and once again had to jackhammer into the foundation to repair the leak. This time they quickly found and repaired the leak, and sealed the hole. Cost=$395 Pioneer Plumbing was responsive, protective of our carpet and belongings, and did a professional job. The costs were reasonable for the repairs involved. The cost of repairing the 1st hole was much higher than it would have been otherwise, because we asked them to wait while the leak detection service re-evaluated the marked leak location. It was too late in the day to fix the newly marked leak, so it was rescheduled for a few days later.
Description of Work: We had leaks in the polybutylene pipes beneath the foundation of our home that needed to be fixed.

 + 1 moreI opted to dig up the old line and retrench myself to save money on the job. Lots of work to hand dig, but it turned out well. Saved about 1/3 to 1/2 the cost. Pioneer replaced old pipe and installed up to date clean-outs that allow access to line out to tank as well as the house line connection. Guys were friendly and did good work. I chose Pioneer because I had heard about the company's donation of materials and work to help out a homeowner that needed whole-house re-plumb when they were dealing with their child's treatment for cancer. I decided that is the kind of business I wanted to give my job to - one that cares about the community.

Pioneer sent two men and they had to repipe extensively, across the bathroom and through soffits to a water heater located outside my house. In an unexpected help, Pioneer has added a man that repairs drywall!

 + -1 moreThe guy showed up and didn't have the tools he needed. I had the tools he needed and loaned them to him. Furthermore he did not talk to us about where we wanted our tub placed - just jammed it in WRONG and left. Top it off, it is a fiberglass tub and he chipped it. It will cost $400 to repair the chips. We paid another gentleman to come and place the tub in the right place and hook up the waterlines in the right locations, and he discovered that the drain would not have worked correctly anyway. Bottom line, the new guy charged us half of what Pioneer did.

Description of Work: A shower water pipe had broken in the wall and had flooded by wall and closet in the next room. They gave me an estimate on repairing all the damage, which was very reasonable and took care of the job and were very polite and were excellent at protecting my new wood floors. The job was warranted and we were very satisfied with the young man who took care of repairing the pipe and damage.

Their project passed city inspection easily on the first inspection and they handled all the details for me so I had no problems. We soon had hot water again. I haven't been on the roof to see it, but my handyman looked and said the project it looked like a clean job to him. Fixing the backyard landscaping and rebuilding the patio after SWG was a headache, but Pioneer Plumbing was excellent installing new gas lines for our house and a new water heater. It's been four years since we did the "gas leak re-pipe" and their work has held up perfectly.
Description of Work: It was an emergency - isn't everything they do an emergency? In the Spring of 2013 we had a gas leak - natural gas was leaking underground in our back yard. Southwest Gas Company tore up our yard, cut through the concrete patio, installed a new gas line from the alley to the house and wouldn't (couldn't) turn the gas on until we connected the natural gas lines in our home to their new gas meter. And that is when I met Pioneer Plumbing. They were immediately available, looked at the job site, ran an estimate, and began work as soon as the city inspectors approved their construction plan . They had to run new plumbing lines from the new gas meter over the roof of our old house and inside to the water heater. Our water heater was so old and desperately needed replacing so we bought a new larger capacity, energy efficient one at the same time as the construction on the roof. Our house was built in the 1960's and there were typical obstacles and challenges to overcome. Pioneer Plumbing addressed them all.
