MVP Air Conditioning

MVP sent a tech out first thing Monday morning (they had offered to send someone the next day, but I told them it wasn't that cold and I could wait until Monday) who went all through the system. It turns out the thermostat was defective. The tech exchanged the thermostat and everything works beautifully again. Also, the system is due for it's six month check up on March 2, and I had it on my calendar to call to set it up next week, but on Monday they had already called to remind me.

One hour after calling company on 9/11/17, they were at the house. They determined that repair of out 13 year old system would cost Approx. $2,000. This occurred one month after spending $700 the previous month with a different company with whom we had a service contract. We decided to opt for a new system from MVP after a sales presentation by Danny Lopez, General Manager. Delivery was scheduled for 9/13/17, two days after the service call. By 1 pm on 9/11/17, MVP had provided and set up two portable air conditioners in our home to tide us over until installation of the new system. With the portable units, we were able to maintain 84º-85º in the house. Tuesday, September 12, Tucson set a new temp. record of 105º. The portable units were a Godsend. At 8:15 am, Wednesday, 9/13/17, Abe and Anthony arrived with our new AC system. These technicians were very polite, efficient, and very competent. They didn't bring a radio, so no loud music. They used drop cloths where they were working, so our home was kept clean. they were VERY careful when exchanging the furnace, insuring no walls were marked or no door sills were chipped. The instruction Abe gave us on the operation of the new thermostat was patient and thorough. By 3:15 pm, the installation was complete, the old system was removed from the premises, the work area was cleaned, and the job was complete and paid for.

There were a few glitches with my house beyond MVP's control, but they kept me well informed and went above & beyond to correct things, without additional cost, to make sure everything was properly installed.

I had a contract with them and they came out twice a year in the spring and in the fall. I paid by the year and then I didn't have to pay for the visit. They just came and told me whatever it was if it needed anything they told me. If they didn't need anything I walked away feeling like it had been taken care of and checked and it should be fine for the season. In actuality, they told me it was not worth fixing. They gave me a quote on some new units but I thought they were pretty high so I ended up not using them to buy a new unit. But I felt like their work was certainly good and if I could have afforded what they had to offer I probably would not have looked for other estimates. But that was out of my range so I had to get other estimates.

I get a yearly service program from them. They are professional and know their jobs. I trust them. It took them maybe an hour for the service, and they cleaned up completely.

All seemed okay until it was 2 yrs old and started freezing over--and unfortunately my son tried to clean the ice off rather than call MVP. When I called they told me that after the 2 service calls the first year, I had to have paid THEM to service the unit twice annually to keep the warranty. Have NEVER heard of such a thing, and I had bi-annual service down by other companies; and there is NOTHING in the paper work that says this! But my expensive, high-efficiency unit became a problem rather than an asset.

I was able to have them come out the next week. The tech Abe found a leaking part and got me on a maintenance plan so cost of the part was less and they can come back and keep an eye on my units in the future. Unfortunately after checking both units the 2nd one stopped cooling after he left. I called them up and they got him back in about 3 hrs. He found a faulty wire, apologized, and got it fixed. Overall he did a great job and this company is still my favorite regarding A/C work.

The two years of checking it is free. I have nothing to complain about. It's working. Their responsiveness is very good. They're friendly and professional.

Every thing from getting the quote through the installation went very well. Danny Lopez, General Manager and the crew that did the install were very great to work with.

MVP deserves 6 stars, if that is possible. We originally contacted a company in Tucson for my 94 year old father in law, that started with a G, and was hard to spell. We didn't have a good experience...as a matter of fact, it was downright awful. MVP came to the rescue. They were able to install a new Trane System for less than the Goodman system afforded by the other company. When you compare a Trane system to a Goodman system, there is really no comparison in terms of quality. Trane is tops! Also, they offered a longer warranty for both parts and labor. Not only were they affordable with pricing, they supplied my father in law with a temporary air conditioner for almost a week until install! The customer service was top notch. The actual install was scheduled on a Thursday, but they had an opening on Tuesday and asked if we could accommodate the change. YUP! They promptly arrived at 8am - from the 8am-9am window- and were done by 2pm - out the door. Not only did Chip, the owner reach out to us, but Danny, the General Manager contacted us several times during the experience to make sure of my Father in law's comfort. So many times you hear about bad customer experiences, but I want to shout from the rooftops how turnkey, stress free and comfortable we felt with our decision. A new unit is never a fun investment, but if you have to do it, we most highly recommend using MVP Air Conditioning!

They were superb! I have worked most with Danny, who supervises a number of the other workmen. They have all been very friendly, professional and efficient. They were extremely fast to respond when our AC wasn't working. They have been very responsive to calls and have shown up reliably when they said they would. They had a good eye for how things would look as well as doing a great job advising me on how best to work with the set up in my home. I have been very happy with all their work.

I had one more service job left. The service job did not cost anything. The one I have on the roof costs about $69. It went very well. I have been using them since I bought the new air conditioner from them. I had them come out two times year for two years. This was my last one but I have an old air conditioner on my roof that I wanted them to come and look at to make sure it was running right.

From my initial visit with Clay, the President of the company, through the final closeout with Jeff, the Co-Owner, the entire experience was stellar. It has become obvious to me that the company slogan, "Where the Customer is the Most Valuable Player", is very aptly chosen. As a retired architect, I know that the most important component of any mechanical project is the installation. The most expensive equipment will only perform to it's maximum as the installation allows. To their credit, MVP was even more fussy than my standards were looking for. Daniel, the Field Supervisor, along with Abe and his install crew, answered all my concerns and did so happily. In today's service industry I find this to be very rare and refreshing indeed. The after service follow-up by Jeff and Daniel was unexpected and very much appreciated. Truly, these folks deserve these high marks. I would have no hesitation heartily recommending this firm to anyone in need of HVAC services.

They called back as promised and arrived on site within the promised time window. Went swiftly and professionally right to work. Found the reason why the compressor was not working , replaced the part. Then cleaned the fins of the unit verified the current draw of the fan & compressor and checked for stabilization after on for about 10 minutes. I had a coupon to reduce the cost if over $200, but did not need it since it was only $70.00.

Clay promptly provided a very competitive estimate. He explained the pros and con's of different systems and cheerfully answered all my questions. The technicians were professional and competent. We were very pleased with MVP's work.

After interviewing three local providers we selected MVP. MVP provided great service and quality installation at a fair price. All work was completed on time. All work was performed under a work permit and was inspected by local city inspectors. All work was up to the most recent building codes. All MVP workers were outstanding. They were on time, cleaned up the work area and were courteous and professional. I strongly recommend MVP.

I called mvp for an estimate. They were punctual, professional, and friendly. Danny explained what he would have to do to make the conversion from swamp to a/c. He gave me confidence that this was the right thing to do. I am glad we made the choice to do so. I am happy with their work. When Danny and crew were doing the duct work he had noticed we did not have an air duct going to the kitchen and installed one for us, so now we have cooling and heat in our kitchen as well as the rest of the house. Job well done. We would definitely recommend mvp.
