Description of Work: Serviced and thoroughly checked out my ancient AC/furnace system. I eventually came to the decision that the system needed to be replaced because I did not want to go through another summer thinking it could fail at any moment.

Description of Work: We had problems with our humidifier. Pete Martin checked it, found an electrical component was originally defective, phoned the manufacturer and reported problem; manufacturer authorized replacement of humidifier at no cost to us; Pete brought, installed and tested a new humidifier; we just paid for labor (2 hours).

Pete Martin is very professional in his business. He gave a good bid, spelled out exactly what would be installed, gave us options if we wanted to upgrade to a higher SEER. (That would not have been cost effective for our small house.) He included getting the permit in the bid and gave a discount for cash/check. Half on acceptance of contract. Pete was not the lowest bidder, nor the highest, but we checked him out on BBB and this List. He did not make promises that weren't kept. I would recommend this company for installation.
Description of Work: Removed older gas furnace and plenum. Installed new Rheem furnace and air conditioner with new plenum and fitted it into the existing duct work. A barometric damper was included in the new plenum. New electrical circuit installed and new gas lines put in. New flue pipe. Since there was a fresh air vent in the area, the tubing to the condenser could go up through that, and the condensation drain could go into the roof gutter. We asked that the condenser be put on top of the old chimney (never used) and they were able to fit it there. They used wood and a damping material to prevent any vibration to transfer to the brick. Because we wanted to keep the old cooler, they made a barometric damper to fit under that so we could change between the A/C and cooler without having to go on the roof and move a damper. Pete Martin was very open to our ideas and concerns and worked with us to make the transition as easy as possible. Jorge and Fabian were the workers who did the main work, Pete started them off, Jorge had the most experience and Fabian followed directions well. They were careful of my carpet, put cardboard down to walk on. The job took 2 days, they were prompt and worked continuously. They installed a new thermostat, checked out that the heat came on, it did; and that the air conditioner came on at an appropriate temperature, it did. They cleaned up any trash and waste and took it with them. Pete came by later to check the work, found a sensor that was not wired properly, fixed that and found no other problems. He showed us how to program the thermostat and what settings worked which way. All warranties and instructions were left with us. He said he would register the warranties since the website is hard to navigate.

He was able to find creative solutions to some problems I had. He was able to keep all of the circulation through my house efficient through everything that happened. His technician also serviced my heater and air conditioner. There was an insurance guy who came by and told me that the guy who takes care of my system said that they were doing a really good job. They are really nice people to work with and are really courteous and pleasant.
Description of Work: They had to reconfigure my ductwork during a remodel and they also did some maintenance.
