Luna Pool Service

Horrible service. Dropped me without warning because I missed one payment on a filter that I didn’t even need, and the payment was one year ago. Changed cleaning times on me constantly, and never really finished the job. Also, raised prices on my twice. I wouldn't wish Luna pools on my worst enemy.

Great! He is now servicing my pool.

Was going great till Luna split area and gave our area to another person. Walt was knowledgable on chemicals but was not registered/certified and did not do repairs. He is very talkative.

We were with Luna for 2 1/2 years. They split the business into east Tucson and west Tucson 4 months ago. We were fine with Luna until the split with our west location falling to the new company. We were not happy with the new company and switch pool service.

Justin could have made a lot more money on this job if he wanted to. In addition to needing a new pool filter and pump, I had two ancient spa jet pumps that needed replacing (the pool is an exercise pool). It was a very old, and complicated set up. Justin spent extra time researching what I had, analyzing it, and figuring out that I only needed ONE spa jet pump to run the jets, and he also figured out that I didn't need the extra horse power model that other providers said I needed. All in all, he saved us over $1000.00. Also, simplified the whole complex plumbing set up, making it much easier to service in the future. I recommend him without hesitation!

The problem was fixed after I switch the circuit breaker off and on several times as instructed.. He helped me fix the problem even though he knew he would not be compensated. He said he is considering moving back to Phoenix. If so, I would not hesitate to contact him for repairs.

he is prompt and good at what he does but he doesn't honor the coupon he posts on Angie's List. he says he only has it there to generate more business when he needs it and "they" were supposed to take it down. I just don't trust people who act like that.

They were very forthcoming on their availability to complete the work as well as challenges that they thought that they would face in pouring a new slab. After looking at the equipment they recommended a variable speed pump managed by a phone app. Justin was very good at keeping me up-to-date on the status of the equipment order and concrete crew. I work from home and was a little concerned about the noise. That fear was largely unfounded as the crew was surprisingly quiet and let me know when it would get loud. The completed work -- including the cleaned boulders -- is fantastic. Justin has tweaked a few things after the installation, but we expected that. I love working with Justin and his team and will hire them in the future.

On Memorial Day I was having pump problems, I couldn't get it to prime. I tried everything I could think of and everything the manual suggested but it didn't work. I called Luna Pool Service and Justin answered. He was, of course, busy but he took the time to ask me about the issue I was having and asked me if I was willing to try a few things. Over the course of about 4 phone calls back and forth where he proposed and I tried different remedies, I finally got it to work!. I gladly offered to pay him for a service call but he refused payment, saying perhaps I would think of him if I needed help sometime in the future. Now, when is the last time you had service like that? I had never spoken to Justin before and he took the time to walk me through the repair and then declined to be paid for it! Need I say more?

Excellent service! Fabulous work! If you can't get an immediate appointment, wait, because he is worth it!!

It was a Saturday when he called and their hours were listed as open. We have since found out that our heater is obsolete because of its age. I understand weekends can be busy. I am just surprised that we never received a return call, even the next week.

Terrible! When I spoke to Luna Pools and scheduled an appointment; they did not have the common courtesy to tell me that they do not work on fiber glass pools. Extremely not professional. The appointment was scheduled 3/23/15. I did not find out til 3/27/15 that they do not work on fiber glass pools. I highly recommend steering clear of these people.

After trying to schedule with two other pool services who pressured us and refused to be flexible and then did not show or follow up with phones calls we decided to try Luna. Justin was flexible, have is good explication of what we purchased, and was very professional. We liked the company so much we decided to use them monthly for pool service.

Justin came out to give us an estimate on a new pool pump and was very explanatory and understanding of my lack of knowledge. He took the time to make sure I understood what was needed and why it was needed. I liked him so much that I decided to hire him for our monthly service.

Justin was the best. He was prompt and professional.The pump install was completed on schedule.I will call Justin for all my pool needs.I trust in his advice and expertise.

Justin works very hard and takes customer service seriously. We had a problem with the pool creeper just after install. He came out personally to evaluate and repair it. The maintenance person cleans and does chemicals every Tuesday afternoon. He is friendly with our kids, our dog and does a great job keeping the pool looking sparkling.

I loved them. The job they do is really done the way I expect but what I have appreciated from them is that the owner spent a lot of time giving me advice and trying to get me set up since it is my first time with a pool. They are a trustworthy company.

They're not complaining. It's a deluxe service. Their price is higher than the one we used previously but it's a great service. I'm very happy with them. They're very good as far as responsiveness. I'd recommend them. They do what they're supposed to and what they said they're going to. They're very reliable.

Great experience. Justin was responsive to all my requests and kept me up to date on his schedule. He performed the work when he said he would and showed up on the day at exactly the time he said he would. When he performed the estimate he explained what he would do and what work was necessary. The estimated cost was spot on with the actual cost. There wasn't much of a mess but what there was he cleaned up. He answered all of my questions directly. Overall it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

The owner actually picked up the phone! then, he said he would come over within an hour, and DID!! He seems genuinely interested in fixing our leak. He told us what to do til he comes back.

I had been unhappy with the pool service I was using for the last 2 1/2 years. I saw the glowing reviews about Luna in Angie's List and called Justin who came over Friday and looked at the pool. Unlike the techs with my current pool service he was very familiar with my salt water pool system and the associated electronics. He immediately spotted a leak in my pool filter which I hadn't noticed, and made a quick fix to hold things until he can get me the part tomorrow. Today he came with one of his workers and thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed the pool. It already looks a lot better, although he warned me it would take about a month or so to get it in good shape since there was dirt embedded in the pebble tec surface due to the fact that the pool hadn't been adequately cleaned since the pebble tec was put in. I am really impressed and am relieved that now I have someone knowedgeable and conscientious to take care of the pool. Thank you again, Angies List!!!

Justin returned my call very promptly. The timer on the motor was not moving and the motor/pump sounded very weak and was turning on and off. Justin explained the voltage and the probability that there was a short in the mechanism reducing the power going to the motor and clock, both of which run on 220. He recommended that I have an electrician come out and that it probably was NOT necessary for him to make a service call. I called Richard Epperson of Epperson Electric who came out and found that the wiring in the motor had shorted out and had burned all the way through to the metal (arcing marks visible). Problem fixed right at the motor. Progressive did a very poor installation. Justin was right-on in his diagnosis of the problem over the phone. He was most pleasant, competent and was able to talk me through the problem so that I could explain it to the electrician. I will use Luna when I do need a pool repair of any nature.

I have been using Luna for over 18 months. The pool has been very clean and well maintained during this time. They understand the subtleties of a Salt Water system. Many have commented that our pool 'sparkles'.

Always tip top and as promised. I even have a very large pool but they still don't charge me any more than promised. I like them very much and highly recommend
