We had an evaporative cooler leak that trashed our roof. Our insurance company refused to pay anything for the claim. Contacted three roofing companies, Lee Hoffman was the low bid so we selected them. They showed up on time with a large crew, cleaned up after themselves both days they were on site. They replaced 2 1/2 sheets of plywood and reshingled the entire roof in two days. Did a very good clean up job (I saw workers walking around the house picking up individual nails). Did a great job, left the site clean, very professional. We would definitely hire them again or recommend to others.

Excellent company to do business with. Highly recommend. Estimator was extremely diligent and very informative. Answered all inquiries and thoroughly discussed pros/cons of various options. Made extra visits to deliver sample shingles so we could intelligently compare colors; even spotted neighboring houses so we could drive by and see finished product. Helpful throughout the project, from bid phase to completion. Never dropped the ball once. Major aspects took about 4 days, and another couple for the top-surface, white patio coating. Crew was careful and very well supervised. As with any project of this scale, there's going to be minor mishaps, however, Hoffman addressed them all to my satisfaction. In some cases, they performed rework on their own accord to get it right. Again, a credit to a well supervised crew. For example, I paid extra for a 6-nail pattern for high winds (vs typical 4-nail), and watched their installers very closely. Not once did i see any of them miss this. All hand nailing, also. Final invoice includes extras for the "unknowns", such as replacing deteriorated sheathing, fascia boards, etc. In this regard, i was extremely pleased that Hoffman used great judgement and was considerate of my frugal nature. The final billing was fair; no argument on my part. In summary, a re-roofing job requires that the homeowner also pitch in to help up front, particularly for coordination. We had a planned access point for their trucks and got the dump truck to fit out back. I was able to paint prep the galvanized flashing and also paint hard to reach fascia/trim prior to final installation. Since they'd leave their magnetic roller overnight, i was able to run that baby around ... a big deal when a nail in a car tire can run a few hundred bucks. Very pleased.

I really appreciated being told that they were booked well ahead, as opposed to getting an estimate and being put on a long waiting list to have the work done.

Overall it was a waste of time to read their reviews and to call them since they are not taking new customers for roofing repair.

Lee Hoffman Roofing responded the same day of my request. A estimate was offered and completed within 48 hrs. The actual job was done within the estimated time frame with professionalism and a complete description of all work done. The property was left clean! Definitely will recommend and utilize this company's expertise in the future.

They got back to us right away. The rep that came out was extremely professional. We were trying to make our appointment during a period of time of really bad weather where were having unusual snow so we ended up having to reschedule a couple of times. That was not something that he could control. When we did the appointment and he was here on time. He was professional. He answered all of our questions and gave us a written estimate within just few days of being here. I don't have any complaints about them at all except that their estimate included a shingle manufacturer that I don't care for and I am going to ask for another one with a different shingle manufacturer. But other than that, I don't have any complaints.

It went well overall. Lee Hoffman roofers were courteous, protected landscaping around the house, and cleaned up after themselves every night. The entire job took longer than estimated due to delays caused by inclement weather, temperatures too low to apply Elastek and by less-than-stellar performance by The Solar Store. John Soelle, the Lee Hoffman Roofing employee who supervised the job, worked well with us and with The Solar Store. We were very satisfied with Lee Hoffman and would recommend them to others. We would also recommend that people who are contemplating installing solar panels on a flat roof consider replacing the roof before installing solar if the roof is in the second half of its expected life.

Three bidders from Angie's List were used as a base plus one outside bid. All proved to be responsive and very competitive. After a painstaking evaluation, I selected Hoffman, which provided the most thorough proposal albeit slightly more expensive. We agreed on a price and start date only days away and they showed up on time with two large rigs with raisable beds and went right to work. The old roof was off in a day and carpentry work was well uner way. The project was completed by the middle of the fourth day and the yard clean up was immaculate. The patio cover had been cut in half to improve the view of the mountains and was performed with precision. The old fascia which was mostly rotted out was replaced with primed 2X12s and they lined up perfectly. All wood work was double coated and the house looked like it just been built. Supervisors from Hoffman came by regularly to bring supplies and check the work. The crew were capable and worked fast to complete the job in a reasonable time. In summary, I was 100% pleased with Hoffman and recommend them without hesitation.

I called to make an appointment to get an estimate for a roof repair, and the woman who answered said they were not doing any more repairs now, and wanted to refer me to someone else. Seemed like a bait and switch type of situation, so I hung up and started looking for someone else.

The job went very well and was completed in 4 hours. Took a few weeks after we received estimate to be added to schedule to get work done. Work was well done and pleased with result.

They were good about saying what the nature of the damage was and what they would do. They did it rather quickly and efficiently. They warned me in all honesty that stuff could drip through because of the nature of the damage and they suggested that I get really good tarps and cover the floor. Fortunately, tar didn't come through. They cleaned up well and the people were polite. I would recommend them. People might say that they are a little more expensive but I want to have confidence with the job that is done. I was pleased.

The estimator arrived exactly on time on the date, went up to the roof,briefly, and came back down saying that an estimate would be sent. I am still waitting.

Professional throughout. Received quote immediately. Was able to sign, scan and return via email. Workers came on time, were very nice, neat and professional. Job completed as expected. Have already recommended this company to others. I received a 5% coupon posted here, which was helpful as I was replacing my entire roof after 20 years. Received one other bid, which was more expensive and took a while to receive.

The roofing job was more than just that. It entailed removing that old roof surface down to the sheathing, cleaning up, adding more framing to re-slope the roof and sheathing that before doing the actual roofing. Interspersed in all of this was removing the heat pump, removing a solar collector, removing or extending numerous vent pipes and skylights then replacing and reconnecting all of that at the appropriate time. This involved several subcontractors and two visits by a large crane. Each sub billed and got paid separately. Except for that bit of hassle, the job went remarkably smoothly. Final cost was close to $10k which seemed like a bargain considering the complexity of the process. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the results.

Hoffman had an excellent crew of workers (either 3 or 4 men everyday). This was not an easy job. All the existing tiles had to be removed. Many tiles were broken during the removal. Over 600 tiles were replaced. It was certainly a labor-intensive job. Workers were hard working and motivated to do the best job possible.

Seemingly big job, all completed in less than a day. Highly competent, professional staff swarmed the job and completed in less time than expected. Very pleased with finished product, would definitely use them again.

The roofing contractor did everything he was supposed to and even repaired an area that wasn't included in his original proposal. Very satisfied with job. Good honest people doing high quality work.

The estimator was polite, efficient and sent me the bid right away. I was very pleased with the work they did. My only issue is that there is no way to reach them after hours. (meaning no voice mail and no emergency number) I had two problems when I arrived home from work on two days they were doing the work. The first time they left my cable line unplugged from the roof which meant I had no cable, internet or phone until they came the next morning. The second time they left the air conditioning unplugged on the roof and could not be reached until the next morning. They did come out very early to take care of both of these issues and were apologetic and professional about taking care of it. However, not being able to reach anyone after I returned home from work was very frustrating. I would use them again, but will make sure I get a cell number from the foreman.

Lee Hoffman Roofing is the roofing company to use. Hands down. The trust and confidence we had in the quality and services provided was outstanding. We thoroughly researched roofing companies; Lee Hoffman's ratings were high and now we know why. Oscar came right out, gave a competitive and detailed bid, and later, when we decided to go with them, he dropped off large samples, not the little ones the other companies gave us. He even offered to go up on the roof and place the samples so we could get a better idea as to how they would look. Then, we gave Lee Hoffman addresses of homes that had roofs we admired. The funny thing is that Lee Hoffman had installed these roofs. We had a gravel roof and a pool, so we braced ourselves for tons of little rocks in the pool on Day One of removal of the old roof, but no- the crew had been so careful and thorough in their removal and clean up, that there were hardly any. The roofers were respectful prompt, and skilled. We had a lot of wood replaced and their carpenter was efficient and precise. There was one piece of rotted wood we neglected to mention, so when my husband called the on-site crew to discuss it, they already knew which piece he was talking about and they had it covered. We had old skylights that dated our home and hurt the curb appeal. The bids we received from other companies and skylight specialists was in the thousands and out of our budget. Oscar recommended a local vendor. We visited their shop, and they were helpful and patient and knowledgeable. The roofers installed our skylights and they are sleek and contemporary; no more big white plastic bubbles sticking out. Finally, the roof itself is exactly what we wanted. The crew left the site cleaner than when they arrived, even sweeping out our back porch. We would come home from work and just be so pleased at the appearance of our home with this roof. It is so good knowing that we don't have to worry about a new roof for years to come. They give a five year workmanship guarantee which other companies do not offer. Everyone was very pleased with the work.

Called on 6-12 at approximately 9:00am. Estimate arrived @3:30pm and said he would email estimate. Received the estimate 6-13 in the morning. Called after reviewing 2 other estimates and set up job. Job started 6-15 and completed that day except the cool coat. Cool coat completed 6-18. Workers very friendly and helpfull. Did a very good job and cleaned up everything.
