All went well as usual for our monthly service visit.

We hired Landshapes based on word of mouth recommendation to upgrade the frontyard and do extensive work, from scratch, the side and backyard of a new homesite. Once committed they were very responsive, efficient, and economical. Adaptive to customer requests. Personal involvement by owner on the job site was a plus.

AZ Landshapes provided a design for my backyard after a large palo verde died. It included a ramada with plantings, installation of two large feed tanks for raised gardening, and an extension of the drip irrigation system. The project was completed to my satisfaction in a professional manner. The company has provided other design and installation services for me in the past as well as continuing maintenance and occasional troubleshooting.

Crew showed up as scheduled. Work was completed in one day. The finished product looks good. Had a call back to fix an interference with a fence gate. Making contact with Jason requires some patience. Once contacted he follows through.

jason came on a saturday which was nice he got out without a pen/pencil or paper he took no notes i was looking for ideas from him, but instead i wound up telling him my thoughts he told me that the $49 i paid on angie's list " he "special" on angie's list, according to Jason is that he simply "draw" on my property in spray paint some outlines of beds/edges and get me a written estimate on supplies and labor it does NOT include a drawing of what we discussed he then said he would return that week to "draw" on my property and provide the estimate for labor and materials if i wanted a drawing it would cost an additional $ 300 neither happened nor have i been contacted i have since hired someone else to do the work that is a $10K order... his loss.

The 1st time the service provider scheduled an appointment, he called 20mins before he was supposed to arrive and was an hour away. He stated that he wasn't going to make it and can we reschedule. We rescheduled and then he was late approximately 25 mins the 2nd time. When he did come in to analyze my backyard there was a lot of small talk and then his rough estimate, which by today's standard I would consider out of touch. He never asked what my budget can afford me or make the offer personal in any way. This was not what I consider a good event.

Jason returned my initial phone call quickly, it was easy to set up an appointment for him to look at the site and he showed up on time. During the consultation he seemed a bit distracted, but we did come up with a plan and a date to do the work. On the day the work was to be done two employees of his showed up on time. They were very accommodating, friendly and worked hard all day, no complaints there at all. When the work was done, it looked ok but more uneven than I had expected; also, they had spread the dug-up dirt in the yard instead of the alley, which is what Jason had suggested. This turned out fine, we just evened our ground with it. We are overall happy with the little patio, we are using it every day and it looks nice in our yard. I was disappointed though that Jason did not show up at the job site or even give me a call to follow up. He may have too much work, but for me that was a lot of money to spend; that is why I gave a "C" for professionalism.

Jason contacted me within 48 hours of my purchasing his special. He fully understood my needs and told me that the following Monday his crew would do the work. Bright and early they showed up and began the removal of the old walkway. When the prep work was completed I was asked to view it so that they were able to go to the next step and begin to install the pavers. By mid afternoon I had a great 20 foot long by 5 foot wide walk that was designed to allow wheel chair availability from my carport to my front door. The crew was friendly but polite. They worked well and cleaned up after the install. My wife and I are very pleased.

When Jason, the owner of AZ Landscapers, got in touch with me and came to view my yards, he suggested a few changes that I agreed with. When he and his crew arrived on the first day, they rearranged my river rock in the front yard in to a much more efficient and pleasing design. A small rock mound was built and a cactus arrangement was planted in/on it. All the pine needles and debris were raked and blown out of the rocks in the front yard. Several bushes, plants, and cactus were arranged and planted around the yard. On the second day, they spread eight tons of landscaping rocks in my front yard to finish the front. They planted flowering bushes along two of my fences in the back yard, plus two trees. While planting, they discovered several leaks in our underground watering system, and fixed them. Overall, I was very pleased with the results, except when a jasmine bush was planted on the side of my house in the front; whoever planted it neglected to remove the dead plant that had grown and died in the same place on the ground and up the fence. I have contacted Jason about it, so I hope it will be removed in the very near future.

He came with my house with his children, and he had to rush because he was taking his kids to swimming practice. He was supposed to come back out to do the measurements and I never heard from him. However, he did mail me a handwritten estimate.

Please see the email chain for the background. When he finally called he made an appointment for 5/15 at 11am. He called that day and asked us to move it to 3pm and we agreed. He finally showed up at 5pm but never called us to say he would be late. He claimed an issue with his phone when I asked him about it. My wife and I spent over 1 hr with him asking for suggestions, etc. We agreed on an approach and he said he would contact his "subs" to get measurements and prices and get back to us. It is now June 8 and we have not heard a word from him. This has been a very bad experience and I would hipe that Angie's List would drop him and never do buisness with him agin. I cannot

We used the $49 Angies consultation to talk with Landshapes. We liked Jason and he gave ideas that were very responsive to our likes. We got a quote and his crew did an excellent job implementing the new landscape design. The plants selected blended color, height and texture and will create a beautiful back yard next year when everything grows which fit in well with the rock and gravel hardscaping. The crew worked fast, promptly, efficiently and were polite and pleasant to deal with. The major tree trimming they did really enhanced our existing tree shapes. We were very pleased that his crew could remove some very old overgrown desert plants as well as relocating a very tall yucca which really improved the look of the landscaping, . The whole task was correctly quoted and completed on the schedule stated.

I was so happy with Jason's landscape design, workmanship and crew that I also had Jason design and complete the front yard. Jason was very easy to communicate and work with and was on site most days. We are so happy with our property and are enjoying spending time outdoors. I would not hesitate to recommend Jason for any project. You won't be disappointed!!!

I called Landshapes LLC after getting a letter in the mail. Jason called back within two days and scheduled a time to meet and talk over my project. I was referred to John Kent ( a landscape designer) who quickly drew a landscape plan and presented me with an estimate. I was not happy to hear that the project was going to be 500 dollars more than my budget. We made the decision to phase in the design and wait on the water feature. Jason and his crew began the project on March 17th. His crew was very friendly and cleaned up every day before leaving my home. The project was suppose to take two weeks to complete and it did. We had one issue with a tree that died but it was replaced last week and we are now finished. I'm very happy with the work. My patio is very nice. We used pavers from pioneer and couldnt be happier with the whole thing. I will definitely call Jason to install the water feature in the fall.

I called them based on a mailer I received. They responded about two days later and met with me the same day. I was given a design and an estimate for the project a few days after that. The cost was a bit over my budget but the company comes highly recommended by my friends in Saddlebrooke. The work started a day later than planned but went pretty fast. The whole thing was done in 10 days. I was surprised to see they worked the weekend to finish. They made a concise effort to get the job done quickly and it looks beautiful. I have recommended them to my brother and sister in law and will be using them for my landscape maintenance.

We hired Jason in February of 2010 to a do landscape design of the empty back yard of our new home. We got a postcard in the mail promising design discounts (much like the last reviewer). When we first met him we were impressed and were likely to have him do some or all of the installation as well. We gave him $500 to do 3-D sketches and CAD drawings. He got us quick, simple sketches within a week. Then many months went by with nothing. We were patient because we were still trying to find buget for the project anyway. Then it became a whole year and many unanswered emails. I finally got a hold of him by phone in March of 2011 at which point (barely remembering who I was) he told me he was "done" with the project. He also at this time told me he sold the design aspect of his company and wasn't doing that part anymore. So I asked for a partial refund and told me that his new partners would not agree to that (nor would they finish the design.) When I presented him with the invoice showing that he had not delivered the clearly promised professional CAD drawings he back-tracked and promised them. Finally in August of 2011 he sent us his finished drawing. While it incorporates most of the items we wanted it is far from a professional CAD drawing. There are no dimensions or elevations and the house and yard are not to correct scale. We repeatedly asked him to add dimensions and correct the scale and he kept sending me the same drawing over and over again. It does not look nearly as good as the drawings he advertises on his website.

We received a letter in the mail from Landshapes after purchasing our new home, which offered a New Home Landscape Inspection for a discounted rate, as well as 10% on any project over $500. We called Jason, the owner, to set up an appointment. He did not show to the appointment. We called him several times, without any answer. Eventually, we reached him and as soon as we said our name and address, he hung up on us. He never returned any of our messages. We then decided to go with another company.

I contacted them through a referral I received from a friend. They returned my call about two days later. After an initial visit, I was shown a drawing and an estimate. The price was high but acceptable. I signed the estimate and was given an install date for two weeks later. They called the day before work was to be scheduled and said they were running behind and would need two more days before they could install the shrubs and watering system. They showed up on the rescheduled date and began the work. It took two days to do and now looks 100% better than before. Some small adjustments were made to our plan but I was notified of the changes. It was done well. The staff was professional. The owner obviously knows a great deal about the work he does. He was on site for most of the project which was an added benefit from my other experiences with contractors.
