Post sales follow up by my salesperson is non existent. I needed some information regarding tax credits as promised as I was completing my tax return. I called the office requesting that my sales person give me a call back. I only had a couple questions. Then I left a message on his contact number. I did not receive any call. So much for being a "Diamond Club" member.

Jared Smith installed a new toilet for me. He was very polite and professional and did a great job.

It was all fantastic. I will recommend them others.

Not happy it was a simple thermostat install . But was told I need a whole new heating & cooling system. $10,000 plus ...

We had a clogged kitchen sink and called Intelligent Design whom we had used twice in the past. While at first they had no openings for days, the kind person we spoke with checked with her supervisor and they said they would squeeze us in for the next day. I was fully expecting to wait all day for the scheduled jobs to be completed, but got a call late morning from Marty who said he was 20 minutes away, I was thrilled. Marty arrived as promised and quickly assessed the problem, deciding he could work it from an outside clean-out. As expected in these times Marty arrived masked, we masked also. When Marty was getting to work he asked permission to remove his mask and that we distance ourselves. He got the clogged cleared in minutes and had us run the sink to ensure it was truly cleared. Marty was very personable, friendly, and highly professional. We were done in about 20 minutes and the price was extremely fair, with no adders or surprises. I certainly liked Marty and even more Intelligent Design which has fair prices and very capable plumbers.

installed May 9 2020 and nothing but trouble with complying with THEIR contract. No attic support, warped outdoor compressor pad, NO COPPER TUBING PROTECTION (from the bare metal cutouts in the unit), no room balancing, noise, Noise, NOISE. I think that they believe I will just give up and not make them DO THEIR JOB but they would be wrong! This unit was not donated to us, we paid $32k CASH and that was OUR mistake but we are calling our lawyer. Eight service calls for a new install is out frigging rageous!!!!

Provided quote, quickly scheduled service. Arrived in time and completed all tasks quickly. Explained all the work performed. Would hire again as needed.

The plumber tore apart my bathroom with a jack hammer and left a big gaping hole in the floor. After pressuring him to cement it in, he did albeit very sloppily. I had to hire an independent tiler to smooth out the cement, straighten the toilet and retile my floor. I made a complaint to the AZ atty general and fortunately was reimbursed for the costs of the damages incurred to my bathroom. I was also informed that the plumber in question was laid off, but I'm still not comfortable returning to this company.

Excellent. Marty is friendly and super at doing a difficult job in a poor environment Trees, and desert broom he had to get through just to get there. He then gave me a very competitive estimate. He completed the work in less than 10 minutes. He also fixed my leaking valve and showed me how I could do it myself. I will definitely use Intelligent design in the future, and I'll request Marty. Great guy as well as a great plumber.

Gabe from Intelligent Design got to my house the same day and did the work. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. Additionally, he came back to the house to help with my water softener that was clogging my lines with media resin. He didnt even charge me for the return call and spent about 45 mins clearing out the pipes for me.

I've had preventive maintenance plan (annual checks of AC and furnace) with Intelligent Design since 2015. During spring 2019 AC check, they found the refrigerant had all leaked out/coil rusted. Five days later, they installed new unit. The technicians were prompt and professional. New unit installed, checked out and up-and-running in four hours. Not even a speck of trash/debris left behind. Fantastic!!!!

These guys are really good. I'm and Engineer with HVAC experience. This firm is professional, punctual, talented, and knowledgeable. The HVAC mechanic effectively trouble-shot some complex heating and cooling symptoms. He corrected major control system wiring mistakes that were made by a different HVAC firm that originally and incorrectly installed the system in our new home. The trouble shooting preformed was methodical and was performed in a manner that was appropriate and effective. The repairs were timely and cost effective. I highly recommend this firm.

It didn't. When I spoke with the company we scheduled the appointment for Thursday the 24 between 2 and 6 pm. I let them know the drain was the most important, because the poor tenant as not able to use her tub for a week now since the plumber we had scheduled with had us wait several days for an appointment then called on the day he was supposed to be there and cancelled due to a family emergency and didn't know when he could reschedule. This company called today and cancelled because they just got a big job and wouldn't be able to do our job for over a week. I guess my job was to small for them. This was frustrating since I had already notified both tenants and they had made arrangements to be there for them. Now I've set up another appointment with another company from Angie's list, so maybe the third one will be a charm.

Staff are very competent, I would hire them again.

Installation of a utility sink in laundry room a complete disaster. "Plumber" unqualified to perform task. Work was shoddy: Supply lines held in place by scrap lumber wedged against drywall, studs scorched from soldering gun flame, valves loose (despite enormous gobs of plumbers putty) and, best of all, tech neglected to reinstall supply lines & drain to existing washer. Tech had to "rush off to next job" and best the company could offer after multiple phone calls was a rescheduling two days later. Ask for references (and photos!) of work.

Hired to replace a failed AC unit. They only installed new units where they also sealed the ductwork, which added around $2500 to price. Their bid was the highest we received, but seemed like the quality/effort they put into it would be worth it. Just over two years later, however, the unit is leaking, and when I called, they said it was out of warranty and to "have just any other company go and fix it". I was shocked. We paid a premium, expected better service, frankly. Andrew is a great sales person, a bit high pressure, but it's obviously effective: I bit. He pitches a purportedly superior product and better installation. However, had I gone with a cheaper alternative (saving $6k-9k), that would've easily covered any repairs from another provider. Simply too much money and overrated for what you actually get. After installation of the new unit, I did not see any savings on my monthly utility bill over time.

8/15/2018 I want to let you know about my experience with one of the AC companies you recommend, Intelligent Design. When one of my AC units stopped working, I specifically chose Intelligent Design due to the fact that they claim to be a Christian company. One of their sales representatives came to my house and quoted me an estimate of around $20,000 to replace my 2 AC units. Three of my neighbors in Dove Mountain had replaced their AC units within the past few years so I knew that my other unit may go out soon. I was never told what was wrong with the one AC unit which wasn't working, instead the sales representative for Intelligent Design quoted the estimate of around $20,000 for replacing the two AC units. He did not go over the units available, instead choosing two Amana AC units. I would later find out that the loan agency (which the sales representative spoke with, giving them my information over the phone) charged me $39, 750 instead of the $20,000 which the Intelligent Design sales representative quoted me. I was told repeatedly that Intelligent Design submits all paperwork electronically so I had nothing physically in front of me until after the fact. I thought, based on the representative's quoted estimate, that I would be paying $20,000 for the 2 AC units. When I received the information from the loan company, stating that the loan was for close to $40,000, meaning that the AC units would end up costing me around $65, 000 after 15 years of payments, I was floored to say the least. I immediately contacted the loan company and asked them to confirm the amount of the loan, which they stated was around $40,000, not the $20,000 quoted to me. They told me to confirm with Intelligent Design about the amount and then call them back to confirm the amount of the loan. A few days later after speaking with the loan company, Mr. Dobbins, the owner of Intelligent Design, came to my home and immediately asked me why I was only authorizing $20,000 of the loan amount to be paid. I told him that I had no idea what he was referring to and he stated that the loan company was not going to release the amount of the loan to his company until the discrepancy was cleared up and I authorized the full amount to be paid. I sat down with Mr. Dobbins and told him that I had been quoted a price of around $20,000 for the two AC units although the loan was for almost $40,000. He brushed past that fact, stating that I had opted for upgrades (apparently an extra $20,000 worth). I told him that I was not told of any additional costs besides the initial quote of $20,000 and that I was shocked by the cost. I also advised him that the bedrooms in my home were not cooling, even though I paid $5,000 for Airseal and to have the AC evenly dispersed throughout my home. He did not seem concerned at all and instead called the loan company and told me to speak to them and authorize the loan in his presence. He then asked me to write two reviews (one on his website and one on the BBC website) favorable to Intelligent Design. He sat across from me, a single mother, at my kitchen table and waited while I wrote the reviews, then read them before submitting them. I was completely caught off guard and wrote a minimal review, which he then read and posted. He proceeded to do the "final inspection" which consisted of showing me how to clean and change the filters...he never checked the AC ducts or even bothered to go into the attic where the furnaces and systems are located. Previously, and when his employees were installing the AC units, they took my ladder (I am assuming by accident) which was in the hallway and which I was using to paint my children's room. During his “visit” to my home, I informed Mr. Dobbins of my missing ladder. He said that he would look into locating it. Before Mr. Dobbins left my home, he advised me to erase a voice mail he had left for me earlier that day, prior to his visit. I hadn't checked my message so I had no idea what he was referring to until after he left. Once he was gone, I checked my voicemail and heard the nasty message he left me which stated that he would take legal action if I didn't authorize the loan agency to release the full loan amount. Mr. Dobbins never returned my ladder or offered to buy me a new one. His workers also left trash from installation inside my attic. When I contacted Intelligent Design a few days later, stating that my bedrooms weren't cooling and when I requested that they arrange a date and time to remove their product, I received a return call from Mr. Dobbins. He was furious and again threatened litigation against me if I continued to ask him to honor his company's guarantee. He then told me not to contact the company but to call him directly and stated that if I did contact the company, he would have them route the call to him. He said that from that point on, I would be speaking with his attorney and he threatened that "he'd been down this road before" and that I would end up paying around $30,000 in litigation and that I would also have to pay his attorney's fees. I informed him that I did not trust him or his company at that point and that I merely wanted him to remove him product and honor his guarantee...which is stated on his website and all paperwork. He said that he wasn't going to remove anything and that his attorney would be speaking with me from that point forward. He ended the call by stating that he would give me his attorney's contact information, which he never did. I have attempted to call him multiple times and I have emailed his company multiple times, asking him either for a date to remove his products from my home or for him to provide me with his attorney's contact information. Mr. Dobbins has done neither up to this date. Instead, he has failed to respond to me at all. I contacted an attorney who has also emailed and contacted Mr. Dobbins multiple times requesting that either he honor his company’s guarantee or that he give us his attorney’s contact information. Although Mr. Dobbins was the one to threaten me with litigation and said that I would be dealing with his attorney, he refuses to give me his attorney’s information so that I can attempt to resolve this situation with a professional and reasonable adult. I am a single mother, as well as a federal agent who works 50+ hours a week. I work at an agency with approximately 800 co-workers. I live in Dove Mountain and my neighbors there were shocked with the treatment I have received (and continue to receive) from Mr. Dobbins personally and from his company, Intelligent Design. I can state with 100% clarity that I would never recommend Intelligent Design to anyone I know. Mr. Dobbins is completely unprofessional, inappropriate and he refuses to acknowledge and back his own company's guarantee policy. He has broken his word numerous times and still refuses to give me his alleged attorney's contact information (after he initially threatened me with litigation) so that I have no other way to resolve this situation than by circumventing Mr. Dobbins and his company entirely by filing suit. It is unethical to write a guarantee which one refuses to honor. I have no faith in either Mr. Dobbins or in his company. I have paid almost $40,000 for an AC system which doesn't even effectively cool my home and I do not trust Mr. Dobbins or his company to service it. I respect Angie's List and I realize that many people look to you for guidance in choosing reputable companies with which to use. I wanted to notify you of my experience with both Mr. Dobbins and Intelligent Design so that you can investigate further and see if you still want to endorse and put your name and reputation behind his company. I will be letting as many neighbors, co-workers and friends as possible know about my experience with Intelligent Design and I would never recommend Intelligent Design or Mr. Dobbins to anyone. In addition, I will be contacting the BBB, the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, Yelp, Google, Wrightsoft, North American Technician Excellence, Building Performance Institute, INC, RSES, ACCA, Energy Star, and U.S. D.O.E. Consumer Reports to notify them of my experience with Mr. Dobbins and Intelligent Design in an attempt to prevent other people from going through a similar horrible experience. I have been in touch with Albert from Temperature Control and I highly recommend using that company instead of using Intelligent Design. They are far more professional, they carefully describe the service and product and go over each part of the installation and cost before moving forward. I sincerely hope that no one else has to go through what I have by having the misfortune of using Intelligent Design.

Trevor Kuykendall & his brother Travis diagnosed the problem and did an excellent job remedying the situation. They cleaned the cable lines & performed a whole house 2 bath "Biosmart Drain Treatment." I have a 2 year warranty on the p trap and condensation drain in the garage & a 1 year warranty against sewer backups. They scrubbed the main line underneath the house and down all the roof vents. They camera inspected after the scrub and tested all drains & determined that all drains are now flowing properly. The work was performed over a 3 day period.

Very fast and courteous service! My AC went down in July, they were able to send a technician with in 2 hours. He was very through, cleaning the system and verifying that the problem would not repeat. I highly recommend this company. The office staff is responsive and explains everything carefully. They are also competitive in their pricing.

Rob was so informative and pleasant to work with. He spent the time needed to analyze the problem and gave logical and comprehensive recommendations. His professionalism and expertise was greatly appreciated. Great service. Great company.
