After an 8 vendor bid Intelligent Design stood out as the only  provider to treat my a/c conversion holistically. Everyone else talked  about putting in an a/c unit, but only ID looked at my house, ducting,and future solar power project when suggesting a unit. They are a tad pricey (app. 20% up from highest other credible bid) but they do what they say they will do, when they said they would do it.
If that's not enough, this is the prettiest installation I have seen, and I speak with the knowledge of having been a maintenance contractor for over 15 years.
I highly recommend these folks.

This is an AMAZING Company with professional, courteous, conscientious and intelligent people. Everyone who came to work on this project is welcome in our home anytime, including holidays! That's how impressed I am with them. My husband and I designed and constructed our own adobe home some 25 years ago, so we are pretty savvy regarding work ethics and product quality. Intelligent Design has it all!  -On time and to the point. -Careful analysis and efficient work. Great communicators and honest.  -Considerate and clean. -Friendly and polite. They did everything they said they would, and more. We were aware that there had been some "creative" rewiring done by the previous homeowner, but Dan and Jesus didn't say a word about it. They just took care of it. They were in and out all day, quiet and respectful, yet friendly. Arrived at 8am and left after dark. A long day and I appreciated it. These guys actually spent a lot of their time repairing someone else's shoddy workmanship. I assume this house was built by code in 1980. However, things like NOT insulating the roof vents and using zip ties to fasten the duck work to the registers may have saved the builder some money, but I think it is just plain "cheating".  The new unit runs so quietly and I know the air quality is going to be soooooo much better. I am so impressed with these people and the company for which they work. I want to add: before installation, the owner, Andrew, went over the project and had some additional ideas and sent someone over to our house to check out a few details before scheduling the install. Now that is how to run a business!
If you need heating/cooling repairs or replacement, Intelligent Design is the company you want. I am confident the savings on our electric bill will pay for our new unit. I will up-date on this over the next few months.

We decided it was time for new equipment so we moved on to the next stage of shopping. Michael, of course, recommended the company which employes him. We set up an appointment that very day.

I believe the man's name was Joel. He was very knowledgable and thorough. There was no pressure or sales pitch. The usual weekend fee and trip charges were even waived.

From the beginning the staff of Intelligent Design has been very professional.  All of our questions were answered honestly and clearly.  The installation was done very cleanly.  I did not have to do any clean-up after the men left.  My concerns were dealt with in a timely manner and above what I had expected.  
It has been 3 days since the installation of the mini split units and the ducts have been sealed.   The climate in our home is more comfortable and the air is more clean smelling.  There is less dust.  My children are all sleeping better at night.
I was not uncomfortable at any time having this company inside my home.  Their manners were perfect and I didn't have to worry about my children hearing things they shouldn't.  
The price that was quoted to us at the initial evaluation meeting was very competitive and there were no hidden costs at the end of the job.
I would definitely recommend Intelligent Design Air Conditioning and Heating to my neighbors, my family and my friends.

The service was great. It was an excellent Big Deal. In my mind he went above and beyond as most providers have not done the cleaning for inspections. They cleaned everything up. They were very prompt and polite to work with. A service call alone in the past has been the same cost as the Big Deal so it was a very good deal in my mind.

I initially contacted intelligent design on their website and asked for a return call and gave my number. Waited 2 days no call. Finally I called them and scheduled a service call for later the same day. Repair man was here a little early and completed the work in about 30 min. Since my AC unit is 13 years old I decided to have an estimate for a new unit done and the repairman scheduled it on the phone for me. The day and time came and went but nobody showed up or called.  Repairman good, website response not so good, sales tech not so good

2/26/2014 Had a phone call and personal visit from the owner of the company. decided to replace the AC I'll update more when the job is done.

4/18/2014 Well I got the unit replaced and waited an month or so to see how well it operated.

1 The install went very well. The installers were professional and courteous. I cleaned half of the garage so they had ample room to work in. It took about 8 hours to install. The unit was so powerful that they to turn it down to it's lowest setting, we could barely open the doors it made such a strong suction in the house.

7/4/2014  It's been almost five months since the install. And not one single problem with the Lennox AC system. Unless you consider a much lower electricity bill a problem.

He did everything he was supposed to, but it didn't need 2 lbs. of refrigerant.

They were easy to schedule with. Lance confirmed the appointment beforehand. He arrived right on time. We walked through the house together. He asked me questions about any problems/concerns I was having and gave me suggestions on what he saw. He hooked up a blower (fan?) to a door and did a test. He spent about 2 hours with me explaining things and answering my questions. I felt he did a thorough job and I didn't feel like he was rushed to get to another appointment.

The installers were neat beyond any expectation I might have had.
We were completely satisfied that all we were told before the installation was accurate and done to our complete satisfaction.
Everyone on the team were expert in what they did. Lance explained thoroughly everything we needed to know.

It went very well. The tech showed up on time, checked the unit. He did the normal seasonal servicing, and pointed out to me that there was a leak (condensation drain pan couldn't draim because the pipe was clogged. He told me what needed to be done. I authorized the repair, and he accomplished it quickly.

Everything went excellent! They were very personable, efficient, and thorough. I also felt they were genuine and honest. They were very clean during the process and cleaned up the area after. They also showed me exactly what they were doing and explained everything. I would highly recommend them.

Called the company in the morning and had the repair tech at my door the same day.  They gave a two hour window and arrived 2 minutes early.  Showed the tech the problem (heater cycling on and off repeatedly).  He did a diagnostic, asked to see the paperwork (installation date and manual) and said that it would be a warranty replacement of the controller.  While the company had it in stock (for a brand that they don't sell), he didn't have it on his truck.  Scheduled to return the next day.  Arrived when he said he would, replaced the board, and stayed around long enough to verify that it had fixed the issue.  Friendly, straightforward repair by a knowledgable tech.

The install and removal went without a hitch, and we are very pleased with the products and the service from Intelligent Design.

Service man did a thorough evaluation and tole me not to spend the money on the problem.

He checked all the walls for temperature variations that might indicate poor insulation.  All checked good.
He also pressure checked the house and and all checked out ok.
His final assessment was that my house was insulated very well and there wasn't anything that needed to be done.

Very impressed with the testing of how well the house was sealed.  This company works with many brands so we had a lot of choices and found a unit that best suited our home.  Jason was extremely knowledgeable!  We feel like we have the best unit to suit our needs.
