It went great. Wes came to see our home, prepared for our install. The install guys came and they were here all day long to put it all in, did it all in one long day. They could not have been nicer to us. Very polite and clean. They are also going to arrive tomorrow to service our other AC unit for us. I would happily refer Intelligent Design AC services to anyone that might need help.

I purchased the Angie's List coupon for the AC tune-up, cleaning and coolant. I was contacted immediately from their office to schedule an appointment. There was a minor error in the scheduled time on the day of the appointment, but when I spoke with the office staff they corrected it immediately and made it right. Jose showed up at the end of his day, was very professional and friendly. He made very good, basic recommendations for my system, explained all of their services and offers and did an excellent job. He never tried to sale me anything or push anything on me, but explained my options very well. I have an older system and he had suggestions to get the best use out of its remaining life span as I consider my options. This was a great service at this price especially. After the service the owner called to follow up with everything. I will be using Intelligent Design for a variety of services in the near future, and I would recommend them to family and friends. Overall they were respectful, professional and provided quality work.

The response for my request was amazingly quick. With so many AC's being installed in Tucson during this hot season I was so impressed with how quickly and efficiently my order was placed and installed. I was expecting it to be at least several weeks and everything was ordered and completed within days. The workers were very polite, clean, efficient, informative and considerate. They cleaned up afterwards to the point where you wouldn't have guessed any work had been done in my home. The owner, Andrew, stayed in contact with me and called me after the work had been completed to be sure I was totally satisfied. He will even come to my home to see that everything was done according to his standards which, by the way, are high. I appreciate the personal touch and concern. I would definitely, and without any hesitation, refer this company to anyone. In fact, I already have.

Everything went very well. The company's men did a very diligent job and kept at it until it was finished, which took one day. The company later sent out another person to fix up some cosmetic stuff around the intake vent. He did a great job. Let me also say that initially the company's owner came to our house and talked with us about all the options available to us and made his recommendations and the cost of the project. Then he checked some things and took measurements. I am very pleased with the company and the quality work they did.

Our 14 year old AC unit was having a major problem - it wasn't blowing cool air into the home. A tech came out to look at it Friday and was able to hot-wire a temporary fix to allow cool air to blow into the house. On Monday, the AC unit stopped working entirely. I had an appointment set up that afternoon with one of their salesmen (Jason), who walked me through the different options available. He was very knowledgeable and explained each of the options. He was able to get an installation team on Wednesday to install the unit (which made my pregnant wife very happy). The installation itself took most of the day on Wednesday. The installers were very professional. They had a little difficulty bringing our old unit down from the attic and made some minor dents in the hallway drywall, but they acknowledged the dents and will patch them up. I have been very happy with the service and quality of the work they did!

After a ?unsavory? experience and talking to the owner, I had decided to give them another chance. I had more than one hole in my ac duct under the home. The tech that came out this time was nice and professional and helpful. However, (yep that word) he did not run the whole length of the home to check the duct as he said he would. He did find one hole about 1 x 2 ft. He fixed that. (I hope as I am unable to go under the home to check) And gave me the cost of $152 as per the owner. He didn't have an invoice so I was to mail it in. After he left I checked again and felt very cool air coming from under the home ONLY when the ac was running. I called them back and left a message stating that, and I had checked it more than once to be sure. The tech came back and went part way under and then told me that because there was a breeze that pushed the cooler air that was under the home out. He said that the air under was always cooler than the air outside. Makes sense doesn't it? However, MUCH cooler air came out faster ONLY when the ac was on, and stopped when the ac went off. I told him that but he didn't seem to understand that concept and kept saying what he said before.. He had an invoice and I was going to pay him the agreed upon cost (as per the owner) but he called the other owner who raised the price to $177.03. Both owners really should get on the same page. In the end, only part of the duct work was checked, and I had another company out for a separate issue and he said I had a leak/hole in my duct further down (where the tech didn't go and where I had said I felt it) More evidence is that dust/insulation particles are still coming into the home thru the duck work. That would not happen if the duct work was sealed as I had hired them to do. (Yes my filters are changed every month) My concerns were not listened to and a flimsy reason was given for the much cooler air coming out from under the home. I had left a message and no call back. I guess the concept of the customer satisfaction doesn't matter much anymore. I felt I was ignored and ripped off and given excuses plus ultimately the job I had hired them to do was only partially done. UDATE 2 I had forgotten to address the companies response in my last update. The reason I received a discounted cost was because of the unsavory experience with the first tech which was 1. he drove into my property, went past my front door and started taking pictures of my pets without my permission before he even greeted me. 2. He started calling me sweetie and was very condescending 3. he UNZIPPED his pants, pulled them down a couple inches and tucked in his shirt right in front of me. note: he showed up with his shirt mostly hanging out and was very sloppy looking, why correct this when he is leaving??) As for Andrew wanting to come out to see the issue, I had already told him I had it repaired by another company. Plus I was extremely uncomfortable having him here since my security camera caught him showing up unannounced early one morning when I was not at home, looking around for a way to get thru my gate, fiddling with my gate lock and realizing he was able to open the lock (with a no trespassing sign) and trespassed onto my property He stood by my door for about five minutes and looked around before he left. If it wasn't for my camera I would have no idea of this trespass. I was told this tech would be fired but several days after I was told he was still working there. Andrew, please don't bother to respond with any more excuses. What I put here is the Truth and you know it. Shame on you UPDATE 1 I had thought the owner and I parted on "good terms" BUT this guy KEPT HARASSING and bullying me to remove my review "like it never happened" He also told me that he wanted his company to be the best reviewed on Angies list. I had thought reviews good and bad were to be HONEST. He also called me several times a month for several months asking me to remove my review. Even when I had a death in the family, he called and asked me to take 3 minutes to sit at the computer to remove my review! COLD. I had to call Angies list to ask them to make him stop since he wouldn't listen to me. Seems that other bad reviews disappeared too, so he obviously convinced them to remove theirs. Guess this is ID way of getting the "best" reviews on angies. DO NOT USE THEM. DO NOT TRUST THEM. This co is not truthful . Due to his actions and convincing others to remove their bad reviews, I cancelled angies list since I no longer tust their providers. Sorry angies list.

It was great. He walked around the house to see if there are any other issues. The guy that they sent out was very friendly and very professional. He did his job in a very efficient manner.

This company goes above and beyond! Intelligent Design is now a part of my preferred vendor list! In the real estate business it is very important to have partners that you know and trust to give top notch service to your friends, family and clients. I can refer Intelligent Design and know that they will take great care of those people and that I will get great reviews because I referred them. I only place licensed professionals on my list that have done personal work for our team. Intelligent Design evaluated my homes needs with state of the art equipment, recommended systems that would save me money with high energy efficiency ratings, put all the costs on paper so it was easy to understand the value and helped with the rebates. The installers were professional, clean, took care of my home and answered our questions. Intelligent Design has called and visited since the install to make sure we are completely satisfied. From the owner, Andrew, all the way down it is a class act. The HVAC unit has been in my home about a month and we are very satisfied with the performance. The savings are very apparent! I love my new electric bill!

He came out and did the job the deal stated and the guy who came out was being very truthful from his inspection.

We heard about Intelligent Design via a radio advertisement on our favorite Christian music station. We were drawn to the idea of supporting a Christian-owned, local business so decided to give them a call. We sought estimates/bids from 4 other companies. We would say we received a wide cross-section of what Tucson HVAC companies have to offer - from low-end, cheap, low-service companies to high-end, pricier, customer-focused companies. Price-wise, we would put Intelligent Design at the mid-to-higher end of the spectrum, though not the highest. Service-wise, we would put Intelligent Design at the highest end of the spectrum. They were a little more expensive on the surface, but we felt the quality of product offered and their documented record of solid customer service and after-sale follow-through balanced this. We didn't want the low-ball, clunker deal and we didn't want the high-priced, sports car deal. We wanted something in-between (the dependable and good-looking Toyota) and we feel that Intelligent Design provided that. From the first moment we met with Design Specialist, Jason, we were favorably impressed. Out of the 5 companies, Jason did the most thorough and comprehensive evaluation of our home and system needs. He spent 2-3 hours measuring rooms, windows & doors; testing room temperatures; performing a blow-door, duct work test; looking at existing equipment; and calculating needs for new equipment. He spent time getting to know us, how we would use a new system, and how we would expect a new system to perform. He also took time to explain technical information so that we could really understand what we were evaluating - information that served helpful with other contractors and being able to compare "apples to apples" as we made our decision. And all of the time Jason spent with us was before he knew if he'd get our business or not. We always felt that Jason was shooting straight with us and that he was truly trying to be helpful. The next time we met with Jason, he helped us evaluate other bids we received and worked in good faith and earnest to reach a mutually agreeable price. Our request for a specific install date that met our challenging schedules was quickly accommodated. The week before our installation date, the office staff called and set an appointment for a pre-install evaluation. Our appointment was with Wes and he was running about 15-20 minutes late for our appointment, but the office promptly notified us of his delay. Once Wes arrived, he quickly moved through his evaluation. Still, he was conversational and answered any and all questions we had. He served as another source of knowledge and experience. The day of our install, things moved quickly and easily. The entire project took just 5 hours from start to finish with a very positive end result. Our new system is clean and professional in appearance and performing beautifully. Extra care was taken with details and finishing and the crew worked cleanly. The crew was nice enough to accommodate our request to set aside unnecessary old copper piping and other materials that we could make other use of. After 4 days or so of using the new system, Jason visited us again to collect final payment (they didn't make us feel like they were just hungry for our money). Jason again spent time going over any and all questions or concerns we had (which weren't many) and he showed genuine interest in making sure we were happy. He assured us that they would respond quickly to any issues that would arise moving forward. While our decision to go with Intelligent Design was not faith-based, we do feel that this company operates on principles that we appreciate as Christians - truth, quality, value, hard work, service, and honor. We are hopeful that our first experiences will be repeated throughout the life of our new system.

Fantastic service and quality. It all started with their rep Lance. Lance came to my home and explained the products his company offers. He was meticulous about getting every detail of my house to ensure we installed a proper sized unit. He was knowledgeable and respectful. Most of all he was low pressure. I have sat through enough salesmen to know I hate high pressure tactics. Lance simply presented us with the information and let us make our own choices. The technicians were polite and worked hard. no complaints at all. We have been recommending these guys to everyone. I received quotes from 3 different companies to install new ac. ID had competitive prices (though not the cheapest) but I feel the peace of mind in knowing my install was done with the same care that they would put into a system that was installed in their own homes was worth the (minor) increase in price over the cheap guys.

Michael arrived early for our scheduled Angie's List A/C tune up Deal. He was informative as we are new homeowners. He replaced a part and cleaned the units. Michael used a checklist and provided us with paperwork and instructions for the future. Would recommend this company to anyone. Very professional, friendly and punctual.

Tech was on time & professional. Answered all questions. Great price. System works better than it has ever worked in the last eleven yrs.

Purchase 2 $55.00 Angie's List Deals; I have 2 units. After purchase of deal, I called next day, Friday, for appointment which was scheduled for Tuesday. Joel was the technician who came and inspected both my units. There no immediate concerns following the inspections except that a 'contact' will need to be replaced in future. My units are older, (19yrs and 13yrs), but Joel said that regular maintenance will keep units going, however he did say that there are more efficient models now that could be saving me on my electric bills. I do have my units inspected annually. The only inconvenience was that Joel attempted to sell me a maintenance package which, in my experience, are a waste of money. There was no hard sell of the package, just suggestion. All in all, I was pleased with the service.

Michael did an excellent job, was friendly and communicated well. He was on time, actually a touch early, calling to make sure that was ok. He showed me the part that needed to be replaced and explained the consequences of keeping the old part in there. I felt that he was telling me the truth and not just finding something to fix.

Provided service as specified. Also, even though the units are near the end of their expected lifetime, the technician noted that they are in surprisingly good shape and wouldn't recommend replacing them in the near future. I'm always impressed when someone DOESN'T try to sell me something

When our air considtioner went fritzy thanks to a power fluctuation in the area, no one I called would come out for a week. But Intelligent not only came out almost immediately but verified that the unit (which started operating again) was okay. We didn't feel ripped off or oversold.

We were very satisfied with punctuality and professionalism during the diagnosis and installation of the new equipment. The hot water heater is excellent for our needs and works perfectly. The replacement wooden floor cover was installed expeditiously and carefully and the condensate line now works perfectly. Our only concern vis a vis quality, is that the cooling power of the new airconditioner is more limited than that of the one it replaced, probably due to the use of the newer R410A refrigerant. We notice this particularly in the rate of cool down when the air conditioner is readjusted, so that the temperature only drops about 2°/hour, whereas our older air conditioner cooled down much faster. We are also a little disappointed to find that our electric bills are in fact no lower than before, although considerable savings were expected from our discussions. It is much quieter than before, as promised.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out great. He's a great guy, very thorough and did everything. He suggested some things to keep an eye on in the future but he said a 20-year old A/C just needed a really good cleaning. He let me know that it probably didn't have a lot of life left but he didn't press any other services on me.

The technician was arrived early in the morning, as scheduled, although I live more that 40 miles away. He was friendly and professional (and didn't blink an eye when he found the pack rat carcass splayed inside the electric cover). I was very pleased with this company and will not hesitate to use them in the future and recommend them to all my friends.
