I got several bids on other competitors and I paid 2700 more money for a Lenox a/c and furnace variable speed a/c very happy with it the owner he is very much a sales man and I would have to say i was happy although i paid more. the other company gave me a quote for a Trane unit The owner recommended for my home that the Lenox would perform better for my home, he seemed to had a lot of knowledge about the mechanic's behind so the only thing I'm a little disappointment that they do not call me its up to the homeowner to call and schedule maintenance calls. Overall, I would give them an A they are very thorough, I was not dissatisfied. The installers were amazing he was a happy guy he showed up and he loved his job you could tell. He did leave something incorrectly, but they're process is that they come out an they really go into a lot of detail about everything. They're very thorough in they're sales, evaluation I would say. They spent a lot of time with me. It was kind of painful in a way. It was a little long, but he is very thorough the owner is. They came out and installed the installers were great they were friendly. Then they have a follow up call, it was like 2 days later we had another guy that came through and followed up on the installation just to make sure the installation was correct. And he notice that they had left some fabric like almost like a furnace filter quality material the installer should of pulled it out but he didn't he for some strange reason he spaced it. Because i had full confidence that he knew what he was doing but the guy that came back 2 days later said oh that's wrong and he pulled it all out it was a little alarming that it was forgotten but my equipment has been performing really well and I'm happy that and i was happy that they did that follow up normally they just install and leave and this guy came back through one of their managers came back through just to make sure everything was to make sure i was happy we had a conversation he looked at everything and he found the flaw that the material that should not have been left behind and he yanked those out and then was on his Mary way. I was happy life happen and i was satisfied with it I guess. On price, I would give them a B but it wasn't apples to oranges either so I guess an A I hate to give them a B the price was really high but may not I got a good quality a/c and furnace. They are very thorough. He gave us several options the process was a little time consuming but he is very thorough. I felt confident in his expertise and knowledge.

Something cool about the company so when I called them to have my A/C serviced I called them in to July to have them service, she said "well your service is expired". I had my contract and I said "no no it didn't I have a 2 year contract" she put me on hold verified a few things came back on the line and said "were gonna extend your service free one more year it was our mistake". Because it showed incorrectly in they're system so they have extended it for another full year for free so i have a 3 year contract and that was well worth the $12,300 dollar investment. Overall, an A. They're great, the guys come out they're always really super. their knowledgeable they bring me back and show me things. I'm allowed to stand and watch them do it.

I was impressed with them. This was before I bought my unit with them. So they were my first exposure, they came highly recommended. I was impressed enough at that point to get a big from them.

I called Intelligent Design in the morning and asked if there was any hope of a service call on the same day. The service rep asked if the situation was an emergency and I had to honestly say no. They has several emergencies at the time but they would try to get to get a technician out. At approximately 4:00 PM two technicians were at my door. They took pictures of the problem with the ac unit so there was no doubt of the reason for the failure. They had part they needed and the air conditioner running in 20 minutes. The Techs were just great. The price of repair was reasonable. They had to clean the evap coils and replace the inline current controller. I will of course call them if we have another problem with our A C

My three furnaces and corresponding compressors were on their last legs and were also freon charged units, which is oh so bad for the environment, so I decided that now was a good time to make a change. I called Intelligent Design to do an evaluation and recommendation as to what units I should buy. The sales person took about an hour to evaluate my home and my needs and present three different bids, ranging from a single stage compressor/furnace combo up to a multistage system. I chose the middle ground and opted to go with a dual stage. None of the bids were cheap (and one was outrageously expensive in my opinion), but hey air-conditioning is expensive in general and an absolute essential living in the desert. They scheduled the work right away, arrived pretty much on time and finished in two days, which was the time frame they had quoted. The workers all did an acceptable job of cleaning up after themselves. The installation was done very well. The work was tidy and completed with great craftsmanship. This to me is the cornerstone of what every service-oriented company should strive for. Alas, that is not always the case. Anyway, I could immediately feel a difference in my house with the ducts sealed and the upgraded equipment. The house cools down faster and the units run less frequently. My energy bill is noticeably lower. I have used Intelligent Design for a about 4 years now for maintenance and repair on my old system and now the installation of the new equipment. Everyone I have ever dealt with in the company has been competent, professional and trustworthy. Not once have I been given the run-around or felt like I was being lied to or taken advantage of. They may not be the least expensive company out there, and if you just want cheap service or install then you should probably look elsewhere. But if you want something done correctly, the first time, then I would recommend Intelligent Design.

What happened this time was when we turned our heater on we heard a clanking noise and so he came out and checked that out. I don't know what else they did, but he was very thorough. It took a couple of hours. He was very thorough. They left it so clean you couldn't tell they were here. They were just thorough and checking out the problem and explaining their service to us. We signed up on a contract plan twice a year now and they were just very good. My first impression of them was very good.

Matthew was very professional and extremely helpful. Getting to our house after a full day of working on air conditioners, climbing on hot roofs, and everything else during the hottest day so far, he got right to work, diagnosed the problem, walked through our options, gave us some good advice, and fixed our AC. We would recommend Intelligent Air and Matthew to anyone who asked. Thank you!

He unclogged the drain in the matter of minutes, but could not do the bathtub as he did not have the right tool. He came back the following day and told my daughter that it will cost $400 + to unclog the bathroom drain. He charged me $350 to do the washer drain, and he was done in less than a half hour.

WOW!! I could not be more pleased with this company and Mathew, the technician who came to my home. Tucson has been experiencing an extreme heatwave and my AC had stopped working. I had called 2 other companies, one two days ago, and still had not heard back from either. I called Intelligent Design and they told my they would put me on a stand-by call but someone would definitely be out today. It was not 20 minutes later when I received a text to let me know Mathew was on the way. In little more than an hour everything has been repaired and my home is cool. The pricing was up-front and I thought it very fair. This was, by far, the best service I have ever experienced!

Unit installation went very smoothly once it got started. The installers were about 1.5 hours late to start, but finished in a reasonable time. The installers were very courteous and professional. They laid down blankets so they did not damage my flooring.

Great experience,, very professional. the break was at a 90 degree elbow and was caused by an incorrect installation in 2003 that finally broke. They replaced the 90 degree elbow with 2-45 degree elbows which reduced the joint pressure by half. Great job.

The representative was personable and knowledgeable. He took measurements and explained how mini-split systems function. However, his price was the highest of the four different quotes we obtained - we saved over $2,000 by using a competitor who installed the same brand of mini-split system. Please get several estimates when considering a large purchase!

The plumber for Intelligent Design told me that I needed to replace the whole tub box, including cutting into the wall to get to the pipes. This was going to cost me $750. My realtor recommended someone else who checked it out, tightened a valve, turned on the water, ran a cycle of the washing machine, and it was fine. Given other aspects of the conversation I had with the Intelligent Design plumber, I can see clearly that he was operating unprofessionally.

A wonderful experience. The owner spent time with us, explaining and answering all of our questions. He was respectful and professional. No high pressure sales. The installation was seamless, the installers were considerate and timely.

Our w/o went out. Called intelligent design. They had some one come out within the hour. Matthew U called to let us know where he was and about how fast he would be there. He was there exactly on time. He opened the unit and knew exactly what was going on. He had the part and replaced it. The cost was 250 and waived diagnosis due to part. He explained everything as he worked. Awesome service! Will definitely do service again!!! Thank you!

Not good, they basically told me my unit was useless and attempted to sell me a new one. My unit was only a little over 5 years old. I declined their offer to buy a new unit and contacted another company who came out and discovered Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing had cut some wiring in my unit. Make a long story short I contacted the owner and demanded that they return my unit to the condition it was in before they came to my house. They did do the repair but I've just too busy to take them to court. I would NOT have this company in my database if I was in charge at Angie's List.

when the individual came, he said this water heater was over 10 years old and apparently hadn't been flushed in years. he said they've had problems if it hasnt been flushed before, then we went around the house. He said that he was more than willing to help but couldn't actually fix anything. He did end up giving me good advise about fixing my faucet. But ultimately there was nothing to fix, because everything was new.

It went great! Jake is an exceptional professional. He called to let us know that he was on his way. He shared detailed information about what he was doing — each step. I learned a lot about the system that is working perfectly for us. Jake was careful to keep things neat and orderly, while being personable.

It took about an hour. Workers are neat, clean and professional.
