These people are the nicest most professional and on time and pleasant to deal with. There was an appointment set up that I couldn't make so they rescheduled with a smile.

He was very professional. There is a hard sales pitch and he is a good salesman. Update: The owner called us after this review and asked for more detail about the service. He refunded our money because we weren't 100% satisfied?a very good businessman!

Reggie was an excelent service technician - he was able to resolve an issue that others were not, was friendly, professional, responsive, and took the time to explain the problem. I was extremely impressed with his work and demeanor, and the price was fair.

Tech did not have a Trane start assist on his truck.He suggested that we order part & install a Trane start assist.Being it was Saturday that meant we would have to wait until Monday at the earliest to get things wrapped up.The AC would go on now & then,but we did not know when or if it would shut down & not start.It was over 90 degrees in the house.I requested the tech install aftermarket.Start assist.I took full responsibility if the after market start assist failed.We just did not want to go without AC until Monday or later.I called at a very busy time on Saturday and I appreciate very much that our tech (Reggie) was able to get to us today.It is good to work with a professional company you can depend on.Thanks again Reggie :)

I purchased ?The Big Deal? from Angie?s List on June 24. The deal was for air conditioning inspection, cleaning and tune-up. I chose this deal with Intelligent Design based on their history on Angie?s List. The appointment, for June 30 ? 8 to 11 window, was set up the same day. The service tech called to let me know he would be at my home in about 15 minutes. (I also received a reminder call the day before.) The condition of the van and service uniform told me that this was a professional company. The tech introduced himself, Efrain, and I showed him the location of the unit. After asking me a few questions, he went right to work. When the inspection was completed, he advised me of what he had found and gave me an estimate of what the work would cost. He also talked to me about the service plans the company hand and gave me some information to look at while he proceeded to do repairs. I was very impressed with Efrain?s knowledge and friendly manner. I decided to purchase a service plan ? I felt confident that this was the company I was looking for to service my unit. Intelligent Design also does plumbing, air duct cleaning and installation of new units. I look forward to working with them in the future to service my home.

All the money I spent today will all come back to me when this unit fails.

High quality service and very knowledgeable. Only issue was the offer for a surge protector for the compressor. The unit was described as costing $360.00 installed, but if bundled with a 4 year recurring check-up contract there would be no extra cost. In fact, this exact surge protector is readily available on-liine at less than $50.00. Installation took him about 15-20 minutes. That seemed less than professional at best!

Steven (the service manager) showed up right on time and was very friendly and professional. He checked the Freon level, capacitors, breakers etc. One of the components tested bad and he recommended I replace it now instead of waiting until it actually failed which could result in further damages and higher repair costs. Excellent service and the cost of repairs seems more than reasonable

I did not spend anything. It was my yearly check up. I am in a membership program. They are prompt and thorough. I am not sure about continuing the membership program because I think it is a little expensive, but so far, I am still in it.

For the price, this deal looked incredible as I know that I need a new HVAC system and needed some R-22 refrigerant to get me through the summer. I called on Friday the 13th and informed them that my upstairs AC unit was not cooling and needed a charge...mind you, my 60+ y/o mother in law and 6 week old infant are in the home. I spoke with the receptionist and verified that there were no additional charges for the refrigerant, and was told there were not and scheduled service for Tuesday 6/17, which was confirmed via email. No one showed up or called on Tuesday. After I called, the very nice receptionist Veronica stated that although she remembered talking to me, and agreed that my appointment was scheduled for Tuesday--and had sent me an email confirmation of my Tuesday appointment, the appointment "somehow" was on their schedule for Wednesday. Fortunately, we had a fully functional downstairs unit. On Wednesday I had an appointment and had to be out, so I told my MIL to have the technician call me with any problems. He arrived and immediately told her it would be an additional $268 for a diagnostic and dye test of my system to determine where the leak was. When I spoke to him, I informed him that there was no fine print on the ad regarding the dye test or the additional costs and requirements relating to the R-22 refrigerant, which is why I selected this deal and that I had a diagnostic done 6-7 months ago and dye was placed. I knew where my leak was and that it was fatal--I need a new system, but I'm not ready to buy. He had his service manager call me back and I explained the problem. He was kind enough to review and inform the technician that, as I have dye in the system, the EPA requirements had been met and I could get the 2 pounds of refrigerant at the advertised price. Overall, the resolution was swift and both the technician and service manager were kind, prompt and responsive, but I recommend always reading all the details of these specials before you buy. If I hadn't, I would've had to pay an additional $300 dollars+ !!

The audit itself went well. The person was here on the time scheduled. He was able to come early as I asked and did a quick service so I would not be so late at my work. The PROS: 1- The air pressure test to find leaks is very good. The person explained all its details and walked thru the internal perimeter looking for leaks at windows, outlets, etc. 2- They also checked for leaks on the AC air duct system. He was honest and told me my system was not leaking besides its age. The CONS: 1 - They promised a formal report on their findings at that same day. So far it`s more than 2 weeks and I never received it; 2- In the end, they tried to sell a brand new AC system. I didn`t like they way it was presented because I was more interested in an independent audit to tell me what my main problems were. They could even be right on their assessment but the way it was done looked too much convenient... Overall I still recommend this audit service if you are interested in discovering potential heat/insulation problems.

The job went poorly to start, but the manager explained that it was because they've recently had massive growth. They were more than accommodating, but I'm not interested in pursing service.

Reggie was our tech he came out about a week ago after we had spend saturday night with no air conditioning it was a bad control board it had to be ordered then today he came out and replaced it and installed the surge protecter the board wouldn't work right he spend the time to call the boards manufacturer tech people checking and rechecking everything till it was right plus he was very friendly with our three dogs

The Design Specialist conducted a thorough audit which included a blower door test to measure air leakage; an inspection on the condition of the seals on the ducts in our forced air systems; a thermal heat inspection for potential insulation issues. He was thorough, deliberative and explained the rationale for his review very well. He was low pressure and did not try to sell a new A/C Heating system, but did provide helpful and informative information about future options when we should ever need to replace our current system. He is a great ambassador for Intelligent Design. We missed connections on the complimentary A/C service and are awaiting a callback.

The owner of the company came out with a supervisor and a tech and checked out both of my units. A heat pump and a 5 ton A/C unit. They showed me the readings and explained what was going on with both my units and were actually very complete and thorough about it. I have an older home so my units have some age issues even though they both work now. Are going to get an estimate on replacement of one system.

NO reasponse. Paid the money, No fix of the A/C. I want my money back. I won't pre pay for any specials with Angie's list, this is a bad part of this site. Stay away. Pay for play not in advance. Very unhappy.

Andrew and his crew have been respectful, knowledgeable with a professional attitude. I would recommend service with this company.

They inspected my system and cleaned it with my hose, and said it was running OK in spite of its age. About a month later, the system failed. They sent someone out promptly, at no additional charge. I was told that my unit was drawing too many amps & a wire was fried as a result. The tech got it going again for me by replacing the wire, and correctly advised that the system wouldn't last the season. He was very helpful, and I was grateful that he was able to fix the unit, albeit temporarily. The tech requested a salesman who came out within an hour. He gave me a credit application, but no written estimate, which I had specifically requested. I also expressed that I had a very slim budget at the time. The estimate he eventually gave me (weeks later) was right in line with another company for the same product. However, I have since learned that another brand was available at a much lower cost. The less expensive brand was not mentioned as an option, hence the "B" grade on price rather than an "A." After I gave a less than stellar review, the owner called me to try to make things right. After a lengthy discussion, he said he would refund the cost of the "Big Deal" offer, and would take corrective action within the company to see that the salesman's behavior is not repeated. I would probably contact this provider in the future, but would comparison shop before going forward.

From the moment I placed the call(had never used the company or Angie's list} the Customer Service was outstanding. They need to teach the rest of the world about Customer service, I received a call to confirm date and time . Mike was very pleasant and informative. The customer service people told me Chris would be coming. He called as he left the East side of town to make sure I would be available earlier than originally scheduled. He arrived on time and went to work immediately in 100+ weather. Area was cleaned and he reviewed everything he had done, A very pleasant experience. Was given a brochure re to all the services they are able to provide. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend to friends and neighbors.

Purchased the Angie's deal online that was advertised because it was time to have the ac unit serviced. The business called me within the 48-hours as stated on the deal to schedule an appointment. They were able to schedule me on the date and time that worked for me. My date of the original appointment was on May 31, 2014 between 8:00 am - 11:00 am. I received a call the night before confirming the appointment and that they anticipated to be here between 9:00 am - 10:00 am. I received a call on May 31, 2014 around 8:00 am informing me that one of their service trucks broke down and that hopefully they would be here by 11:00 am. I informed them that I had a previous appointment scheduled at 2:00 pm. They called around 11:00 am and told me that they would not be able to make it and that I needed to reschedule. I called to reschedule and they were able to get me in the following Saturday. The tech that came out was professional and explained what he was doing. He informed me of some cleaning techniques that I should do on a monthly basis to keep my unit running efficiently, techniques that other heating and cooling companies I have used previously never told me. He did state my motor was leaking a little bit of oil, but other than that the unit was working well. I asked the tech about their service program and he explained the program, but was not pushy in me purchasing the service program, which I probably will come the fall. Even with the missed appointment I was please with the professionalism of all of those I spoke with and the good work the tech did when he arrived. I will definitely use this company in the future.

I had Intelligent Design come out to service my 27 year old air conditioner. I was geared for him to try and sell me a new unit right off the bat. I felt relieved when he didn't. The service manager Eric Lawler came out himself to do the service. I was very impressed with him. He was very professional & wonderful to work with. I had him show me how to clean the coils myself to keep it in good shape in our Tucson hot weather. He was amazed that a 27 year old unit was working that well. I know I'm on borrowed time with this unit being this old. He explained everything to me. I'm a 75 yr. old woman who lives alone & it was so nice to feel he was trustworthy and honest. He did sell me a warranty contract but said if my unit goes out & I have to buy a new unit the money I spent on the contract will be applied to the new unit. I would highly recommend this company to everyone.

The first visit was excellent. The technician called to let me know when he would arrive. He was prompt, efficient and polite. He made sure his shoes were covered before coming into my home. He also offered to swap out my filter for me. He was amazing. The second visit I had a different technician. He didn't arrive during the given time window. He called me three times because he was lost. I asked him specifically to call me when he arrived so I could get over to the house. However he never called, so I went to the house on my own and found he was already there. He was also very rude to me. I will use this company again, but I will make sure to ask for the first technician that I had dealt with.
