I had a problem with my air conditioning on a weekend. They came at the time that was estamted. The technician was able to identify the problem very quickly and had it working again in a short amount of time. He then gave us suggestions to help prevent the problem again. He did advise us that it could happen again in a couple of days, and it did. Because of his suggestions we were able to fix it again in just a few minutes. I admire his integrity to give us the information that we needed. It saved us another call and lots of money!!! Based on my interaction with this company I would say they have high work ethics, integrity and A+ quality work. I would definitely recommend them.

When I met John, I could not believe the well mannered person in front of me. He and his crew worked diligently and all I can say is that they were fantastic. John is wonderful to his crew and they seem to appreciate him. They did a great job in all three (3) tasks. John is a perfectionist and I really like that. I was well satisfied and definitely would recommend Intelligent Design to anyone and everyone. My friends come into my garage and they all comment on the nice job. The one thing I really liked about this crew, was the honesty, because the boys have an honest boss. THEY DESERVE A++

I originally purchased the $69 maintenance coupon for the AC. Danny arrived and performed the inspection whereupon he found both my capacitors were functioning out of suggested manufacturers range. HE suggested replacing them before any damage could happen to my motors or compressors ( a much bigger expense!). He also gave me the pricing for installing a float back-up. This was to prevent an overflow in the water from the AC in case of dirt buildup, which there was quite a bit when he cleaned it out. I agreed to take a 5-year maintenance plan which included all these things and would cover all my plumbing too. I found Danny very efficient and knowledgeable. I did not feel pressured into purchasing the agreement it just made sense based on the cost of the items that needed to be replaced. I have a pool pump and have no real knowledge of the plumbing of my home as we only purchased it 3 years ago. Now I have a service for all my plumbing needs. Danny was very thorough in explaining these advantages.

Kevin is a true professional with a great attitude, who quickly diagnosed the system and had a suggestion on making it more efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

I was surprised they were even available to do the work on the 4th. It took the guy about three hours to get here, but after quickly figuring out what was wrong, and agreeing to honor the 15% off of service cost on the Angie's list $39 coupon--it saved me $100--he did the work in far less time than he estimated it would take. Polite, professional, emergency charge for coming out on the holiday was $150, but that seemed reasonable for the situation. We have had Intelligent Design out twice for A/C emergencies in the summer in Tucson with our 15+ year old A/C system, and while it has cost some money it is way cheaper than a new system, less than others have quoted us for repairs, and done quickly, professionally, and well. We will probably be able to nurse this A/C along, functioning well, for another couple of years, because of Intelligent A/C.

He wasn't happy that the existing pipe was old. He had to go get a part. I paid for the part and he fixed it without charging me for that. I think with that kind of offer they shouldn't be surprised that the existing faucet is old and may need some work. He was polite.

He came on time and fixed my sink in about ten minutes. He explained why my bathroom has continual plumbing problems--hard water. I was pleased with the service and would definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

Prompt, courteous, and professional. John was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions. Service was above and beyond what I expected; he even used a camera to visually inspect the interior of the water heater and condition of the heating elements.

I felt they were too strong in offering a service contract, but the service person respected my decisions and performed satisfactory service.

A day later the owner, Andrew, called me to discuss the issue. I'm not sure if it was a result of my Angie's list review or the fact he finally had a good number for me. Either way, the company seems to be worried about its reputation- which is a good thing for consumers. I've decided to hear Andrew out on his system but have not yet decided which bid to go with yet. I told Andrew I would reflect on my review and have since decided to tone down the language. I do feel Intelligent Design screwed up, and I do think they can improve their process, but I don't think it's the end of the world either. They seem to be a good company installing a good product. Maybe I'll update again once I've decided.

A little concern when the appointment was scheduled, the re-scheduled... I know they are busy, but for them to assume we are not is a little worrying. However once the technician turned up, the service was professional and fully met all expectations.

We recently purchased an older home in Tucson that had an attached guest quarters with an adjacent office. The heating and air conditioning system was 1974 vintage and not working. We looked at various options but elected to go with a mini-split system. After having Andrew and his associate from Intelligent Design come and evaluate our needs, we selected them to do the installation with the Mitsubishi system. Their explanation of the process to provide the correct sized system for our particular needs was based upon a thorough evaluation of a number of things, not just square footage. The price and quality of the system was well within our expectations and so we hired them. The final results met and exceeded our expectations. The crew that did the installation was courteous and thorough. Bottom line, we would highly recommend them for any future air conditioning work you might have. JC

My wife and I would like to thank the entire staff at Intelligent Design for their awesome customer service support along with the awesome patience that Mr. Andrew Dobbins(Owner) provided us with multiple issues we had at the time and decision making with purchasing the correct air conditioning and heating system. We were also blessed that we were working with a true Christian believers business. We were very thankful during our initial inspection to have awesome customer service support with the AC inspector. He was very polite and explained everything in detail as what the next recommended step would be because we had a leak in our system and he explained the benefits of replacing the unit vs. repairing our old system we were still not sold until after Mr. Dobbins and John (General Manager) and Kris (Supervisor) paid a personal visit to us after hours despite of a long day and several times we had to change appointments due to my wife's medical condition we were unable to make the scheduled appointments. We can honestly tell you that this is the very first time that we have had company have this much patience with us so we are very much appreciate of their valuable time. After that appointment my wife and I decided this was the best option and outstanding company to do business with not to mentioned explained everything in detail to include the benefits and savings of having a 16 SEER Lennox AC system along with a Solar System as well. We were blessed to have the opportunity to finance the entire purchase. I told Mr Dobbins that customer service means everything to me since I just retired from 29.5 yrs in the service last duty was recruiter for eight years so I know what it means to be given outstanding customer service. We were referred a friend that we trust. In my recruiting life referrals go along way. We were so pleased with the estimates and customer service that we decided to purchase. Our new AC system has been operating like a champ in the 110 degree weather the last 3 weeks. What was absolutely amazing was the AEROSEAL(duct sealing) system and how it was well explained to us and we were well educated by Jason and Raymond. The blower door house pressure test was absolutely astonishing and amazing how the house becomes air sealed and explained first from Dean then Jason did the install and took the time out to explain everything in detail to my wife and myself. This should be a requirement for all AC companies to do but most don?t even carry the equipment to do so. The two installers did an outstanding job and was very quiet despite of my wife sleeping and the customer service was awesome. They left the place clean just as it was when they started the work that meant a lot to my wife and I. Dean came over for final inspection and explained every thing about the system and also did some minor adjustments for adjusting the air duct returns so it would comfortable and balanced in bedroom and living room. What was very amazing was the level of knowledge, professionalism and customer service especially with the office personnel very kind and polite and again very professional on the phone no matter who answered the phone not to mention timely was on time with always returned phone calls and followed up for the next step to the process. Financing and signing final documents for contract was exactly what Mr. Dobbins stated very short and precise and painless because everything was 100% financed. We were extremely and blessed how quickly the install was now we are awaiting for our solar system basically for panels and awaiting TEP and our HOA approval but again what was awesome the measurements have been completed for solar panels. The solar rep. was very polite and professional and knowledgeable and explained every thing about solar and the awesome benefits. Also he stated what a great deal with the two systems for the price of one. We purchased our unit on 6/22/2015, it is a # 1 rated Lennox H.C Carbon Merv 16 filter with UV tech very quiet 16 SEER. We have already referred our neighbor Rob to get a free AC inspection because they are in need. We will continue to share and recommend several people to have this awesome company that Mr. Dobbins has developed his team to be the best and they are definitely living up to their # 1 ranking. Our system was working poorly (running all the time) and a warm wave (105°) was forecast for the next 7 days. A representative came out to service the unit on the 3rd workday after we called. He found the unit in need of major work and in view of its age we elected to go for a replacement unit. There was no push, no "hard sell". Our options were fully explained. On the same day as the service call, a Service Manager came out and explained everything. We closed a deal on a Thursday and the following Monday, the unit was installed. A week later the duct seal work was done. Everyone we encountered was courteous and polite. They were efficient and professional. They called before coming to give us a few minutes to tidy up. They cleaned up everything before leaving, including recoating the places on the roof that were marred during the job. (the roof coatings were a little soft in the 100+° heat.) I don't know how their prices compared since I don't choose a contractor/vendor on that basis believing that the lower the bid, the higher the probability of low quality product and service. Unless future experience dictates otherwise, they will remain our vendor of choice for all things related to heating/cooling.

I wish they had given me an itemized invoice; I feel like I was overcharged, and an itemized receipt would've helped me to understand. He also didn't have to do part of the work to bring us up to code. I bought a deal for $69 for 1 hour of plumbing services but paid extra for extra work.

They arrived on time, job was done in about 20 minutes and the price was certainly right.

Service guy was in neighborhood and called to ask if he could come early on day of appointment. Did the work quickly and professionally. I have a new faucet that doesn't leak!

Went fine. Nothing out of the ordinary.

It went great. Danny V. called me first thing in the morning and I didn't have to wait too long for him to arrive. Danny was very thorough in his inspection and took considerable time to communicate and educate me on all the details he was looking over, and as a detailed orientated person I appreciate this type of service. After looking through everything on my AC system, Danny recommended replacing my AC condenser fan motor, a contact switch, and a capacitor that wasn't running inside recommended parameters. Danny showed me what needed repair and explained in detail why it needed to be repaired (now or in the future). I knew my condenser fan motor was on its way out as the body was rusty and the unit made a lot of noise when running. The fan had also burnt out one capacitor two years ago. Considering the situation (on my roof on a hot day) I could have easily felt pressured about making the repairs. On the contrary, Danny's professionalism was PERFECT as he explained that the repairs would save me worry and inconvenience in the future as the parts didn't have much life left. I felt comfortable and confident in making the repairs as recommended. The repairs were made as quickly as possible. Danny's attention to detail was evident as he neatly tucked and bound wire groups with zip ties, mounted the capacitor to the body of the AC unit, and cleaned up all the dropped screws and old wires. I want to point out that the previous capacitor replacement (done by another company) was left loose lying on its side. With it being June, I know these guys are busy with lots of work and getting to the next job is important to them, so the detail and extra time/detail committed to the repair by Danny is AMAZING!! The appointment went so well, I signed up for the maintenance program. I am glad I have found someone to keep my system in tip top shape well into the future. Thanks You.

Initially hired in 2014 when we came home from vacation and our A/C wasn't working. Arrived promptly, diagnosed problem, and provided room A/C until they could obtain the part to fix our A/C the next day. Very professional even though they pushed their service plan which we purchased. We recently moved to another house which was having A/C issues. We transferred the service plan and I called to have them take a look at it. They recommended a new unit and had their sales guy come out within the hour. He was pushy and started with extremely expensive priced unit (13K) but said that with their financing it would be less than $200 per month (he didn't freely give me any terms of the financing which I asked for later and found that there was a 10% interest rate & payments for 8+ years!). He eventually worked his way down to a 8.5K unit. He promised to get the work done fast if agreed to a deal right there but said if I waited until the next day it would take a few days longer to get the work done. I'm not an idiot and realize that's to prevent me from comparing prices. I found on webhvac.com that the 13K unit costs less than 6K making their upcharge for installation 7K. Needless to say that I found another HVAC contractor for a new unit. In summary, very professional company who provides great service for your A/C unit but their pricing is not competitive
