I responded to the Angie's deal for the water heated flush for 38.00. They contacted me immediately and made the appointment for 2 days later. Wow, was I impressed. I requested that the plumber install a new faucet while he was here. First, they gave me a discount for being a member of Angie's list. Thank you. They were on time, efficient, and professional. I have all work completed and am happy with the experience. These guys are great and I will use them again. AHH, THE BENEFITS OF ANGIE'S LIST. Well worth the money.

Diagnostic: Initially purchased a discounted diagnostic evaluation through Angie's List, after one of our units malfunctioned. The diagnostic representative was professional, punctual, and able to lend a correct diagnosis. Per his assessment, one of our two (2) A/C units has gone bad, and needed to be replaced. The diagnostic technician told us this was not uncommon, given the initial quality and age (appx. 13 - 15 years) of each unit. Please note, the diagnostic technician was unable to provide any price quote, stating that this is beyond his scope of practice, which I consider to be respectable. Sale: Initially, the sales representative arrived shortly after the diagnostic technician had left for the day. He provided us a thorough explanation about supposed U.S. policy, and why units in the southwest are significantly more expensive than those in the other two regions. While I am unable to confirm, Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing seemed to push Lennox A/C units over other brands, citing and showing research as to why this brand is superior to competitors. I am unsure if this company sells other brands, and therefore push Lennox, or if Lennox is genuinely the "best" brand within the industry. The sales pitch became irritating, as the representative first elected to pride his company as to why they are rated "A+" on Angie's list, and ergo superior to other installers. The sales representative appeared knowledgeable about the models that Lennox has available, and was able to locate the proper unit that met our specific needs. Being from the Midwest (Chicago, IL), we were quite surprised to hear that two (2) new units, installed, would cost approximately $14,000. The sales representative attributed this to units in the southwest requiring a higher efficiency rating, as they are used for a longer duration of time than those in colder climates. At the time I am writing this review, I received a telephone call from a debt collector, stating that my payment is late. As we took a loan to pay for the units, we were informed by the sales representative that we had 25 months, interest free, to pay for the A/C. Furthermore, the sales representative asserted that NO payments were necessary on a monthly basis, provided that the balance in full is paid by the 25th month. This statement is untrue - the finance company requires a payment each month ($550 in our case), such that the borrowed amount is paid. Our sales representative vehemently stated that no monthly payments are required ( lie), provided that the balance is paid in full by the final, 25th month. Installation: While the actual installation of the two (2) A/C units, blowers, and fans was unremarkable, and the hard-working installers periodically ensuring that protocols and procedures go as planned, the same cannot be said about the service rendered during the interim period. This company (Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing) repeatedly failed to fulfill obligations that their sales, service, and even manager have made. For example, despite having an infant in the home, and being promised a temporary cooler until the A/C units be installed, technicians failed to show-up and provide us with these portable units. Rather than receiving a polite phone call that a unit may not be available, it was not until I - the customer - who was about to lay out $14,000 on A/C, called to inquire about the status of these units at approximately 10:00PM. More concerning, having waited all day for these portal units and cancelling plans, the service person informed me that they simply "fell asleep" while watching television and "forgot" about our situation. While he offered to bring one to our residence "later in the night," I declined his request, citing it was already 10:00PM, and that the racket will wake our already sleeping infant. After expressing this concern to another representative, I was informed that the company policy is to be honest with consumers, which is why the previous technician disclosed he was asleep. During the initial sales pitch, we were informed that Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing does not hire people with less than five (5) years of experience - the fact that they would be okay with their employees falling asleep essentially on the job not only makes me question the professionalism of this company, but the quality of personnel they hire. As stated above, the actual installation of the two (2) A/C units was flawless. The technicians responsible for this task were personable, professional, and extremely hard working. Overall Impression: Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing is an inappropriately named company. I can strongly assure you there is no "intelligence" behind the customer service and sales provided by this organization. Furthermore, although the manager has intervened personally, on several occasions, time and time again we were disappointed, let down, and simply misinformed about the services provided. I would strongly encourage those shopping for A/C to do more independent reviews, and not be swayed by the sales pitch offered by the sales representative that Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing is the "best" company in Tucson (and that their trucks have the most noticeable paint scheme - as if that matters). It appears that while this company may once have been very successful in their endeavors, which earned them a high rating, their current business model is poorly structured and quite cretinous. Should our units fail, or any of our colleagues inquire about A/C repair, I will definitely not recommend Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing, and aspire them to steer clear of this company.

It went very well. Sal, the tech for Intelligent Design Plumbing, called an hour ahead of time to tell us when he'd arrive, and arrived at promised time. He very efficiently performed the water heater flush, then inspected all the valves in our bathrooms and under our kitchen sink, as well as the main shut-off valve for the house. Our plumbing is in good condition, he said, but he recommended that we purchase a water filtration system (can't afford it right now). All in all, he did an excellent job, and we recommend his company.

My experience with them went great.

They were here within the time slot given. They were polite and worked quickly. The on and off hose valve seems to work well and does not leak as the old one did.

Mr. Mancini was very professional and thoroughly explained in detail what he was doing and why. In fact, I got so much information from him I could barely process it all and came away well educated on the subject of water heaters. I was very happy with the service I received from Intelligent Design Cooling, Heating and Plumbing and plan to use them again in the future.

Replaced garbage disposal. Technician Sal was professional and very helpful!

Work was done accurately and on a timely basis. Service personnel were friendly and there was no mess left oncompletion of job.

Mario called ahead of the scheduled time to see if he could show up early, which was very convenient. He then proceeded to do the work we were looking for (clearing slow drains), completing it quickly and thoroughly and making sure I was satisfied at each step of the way. He found issues that could crop up for us later and gave very useful suggestions for how we could deal with them. His attitude was courteous and professional at all times, and we were completely satisfied.

Sal was early for the appointment. He was friendly, professional and neat. He did an excellent job and we would be happy to use him again.

Removed unit flushed out and removed a small metal object. Replaced unit under sink. He was in and out in less than 1 hour. I feel I paid twice once for the online see vice and then again at completion.

Plumbing service was great. Mario came out and took care of our washer and dryer hook up. He also was able to book up our natural gas grill with a quick connect which works perfectly. Very professional and arrived on time. Would do business with again.

The service was excellent. The service was done quickly and expertly. I would call them again.

i was not pleased with original work. I was contacted right away but am extremely busy so it took a month to have them return. John corrected all of the thing in my complaint, explained a few things I had not understood, as well as what the company could do in the future to update my system at a reasonable price. I would definitely have them back.

Great. They were very good. I was impressed with them.

We had a very badly corroded faucet that couldn't be turned on anymore. Took advantage of an Angie's List coupon to have Intelligent Design come out to change it. Two gentlemen arrived on time and started to work on the faucet. It was not an easy change but the guys worked diligently until the new faucet was in place and tested. They installed a short turn faucet which means that you only need to move the handle 1/2 turn for it to be full on. Convenient in my opinion,. Good job guys.

It turns out that there were multiple leaks in the evaporator coil. The best part of the experience was that the technician was prompt. He was able to describe exactly what was going on and demonstrated very clearly what the problem was and the various fixes he could apply to it and the drawbacks of them. As far as the price with getting the inspection, their price was great. They were very high quality and their technician was quite knowledgeable. It did take them a little while to respond to me. They were on time.

He did a very good job, called before he came, and stayed until the job was done. I am thinking about getting more work done and will defiantly use this company.

Plumber did excellent job. Replaced faucet with new one and explained procedure. So impressed, had them replace my water heater. Did excellent job there too.

Provider arrived promptly, when scheduled. Troubleshot the problem to the motor, which was full of condensate water from a previous leak caused by a failed condensate pump. Replaced motor and tested unit. Removing motor from shaft, the tech caused small damage to new wood floor in the hallway.

An agreeable settlement for the issue was obtained with the company .

On time, professional and fixed the problem.

9/19/15 UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW. JASON FROM INTELLIGENT DESIGN CALLED TO GIVE ME HIS APOLOGY FOR THE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THE COMPANY. HE WAS VERY CONCERNED THAT IT HAPPENED AND SEEMED VERY SINCERE IN HIS APOLOGY AND OFFERED TO RETURN MY $38.00. I KNOW THAT PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES ON THE JOB, BUT WHEN A COMPANY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT AND TRIES TO MAKE IT RIGHT, IN MY MIND, THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES AS TO THEIR INTEGRITY. SO I HAVE DEFINITELY SOFTENED MY OPINION AND WOULD GIVE THEM A "B" NOW.
