Description of Work: Doug installed a valve gate into my filter system so that when I open my system to clean the basket, I do not have the water drain from my lines saving the life of my pump. He also helped me scope out a misting system for my back porch and saved me a bundle by recommending a lower psi pump rather than the Cadillac I was going to buy.

Description of Work: We moved into to our new home on 20 August 2012. My old address was 4835 N. Valley Park, Tucson, AZ 85705. My pool at my old home where I lived since 25 July 1980 had a crack across the center of the pool. It was repaired in 1986 by a very well known Tucson pool plastering company. The repair lasted 18 months. It was extremely sloppy work. The pool plastering company refused to stand behind their shoddy and incompetent work. Needless to say, I never used that company for anything since and have always told anyone who was ever interested in getting any type of plastering work done to NEVER use that plastering company. I patched my pool myself and limped along with it for the next 18 years. After my wife died in 2005, I noticed the small slow leak had suddenly gotten much bigger. I finally shut the pool down and drained it. It sat that way until Doug Bohrman came along with his new Infinite Pool Services business. Mr. Bohrman had completely renovated the pool and spa at the new home we had recently bought. I knew my pool at my old home had to be repaired before we could sell it. Mr. Bohrman "dove" into it. He discovered the reason the pool repair had failed miserably back in 1988. First, no effort had been made to stop the spreading apart of the pool crack. Second, the epoxy filler used to seal the crack had been mixed incorrectly, and the crack was way too big and wide for epoxy to seal alone. Concrete was needed to seal the original crack. First, Mr. Bohrman chiseled slots in 2 places on both sides of the crack in both pool walls. He then dug into and cleaned out completely the crack running down one pool wall, across the bottom of the pool, and up the opposite pool wall. He then made 4 stainless steel double ended hooks to drive into the pool walls, tying the crack in both pool walls together. He then filled the entire crack system with a polyurethane based concrete mix designed to work under water and completely resistant to chlorine. After that was cured, Mr. Bohrman ground the plaster pool surface to remove the calcium deposits. Then my old pool was painted with an underwater epoxy black paint, sealing the entire pool surface. The pool is now perfect.

Description of Work: We purchased this new home. The pool and spa were a disaster. After the pool and spa were drained, the calcium deposits were ground off the surface of the pool and spa plaster. All cracks were located and repaired. The non-functioning pool and spa lights were repaired. Then with a perfectly clean plaster surface, the entire pool and spa were painted with underwater black epoxy pool paint. The original plumbing system did not function properly. After determining what the existing plumbing configuration was, the plumbing routing was modified to provide a positive circular current pattern for the return water to the pool so that surface floating debris would be carried to the strainer port. The heater for the spa was non-existent, with the lines capped off. The blower for the spa was mounted on the ground and was non-functional due to rain water and dirt damage. A new Hayward natural gas heater was installed along with a new Polaris blower mounted 2 feet above ground. A Polaris 280 pool cleaner and associated Polaris booster pump was installed, replacing the existing pool cleaning system that did not work. A stainless steel railing for entry and exiting the main pool was installed. The old and dangerous diving board was removed and the cool deck repaired.
