+ 0 moreWorkers arrived as scheduled, very early in the morning, and waited patiently when we weren't quite ready to get out of their way as we got ready for school and work. We were gone most of the time so can't provide a play by play but they were friendly and cleaned up before they left daily. There was a lot less dust than we expected. While the whole job took a bit longer than we expected- we were thinking 4-5 days though I can't recall if that was an estimate given by HC or we just assumed but it took 8 days to complete- quite a lot of work was done in the rooms. We noticed after the closet doors were installed that one of he knobs was on the wrong side which made the closet difficult to open. HC fixed the problem as soon as we brought it to their attention. They forgot to paint the back of one door and Hugh came back the next day and painted it himself. Otherwise everything seemed to go fairly smoothly. The doors were an add on that we requested that was not a part of the original estimate and cost a bit more than we expected. Next time we will request an itemized estimate for anything we add prior to the work being done and we realized we should do this with any company. The rooms look great- a vast improvement!- and we feel the cost was fair and HC Drywall was professional, skilled, and punctual. We will use their company again.
Description of Work: HC Drywall insulated and drywalled five brick walls in three bedrooms. They repaired all drywall holes and removed the popcorn ceiling from two of the rooms. They textured and painted all three rooms in colors chosen by my kids and painted the moulding white. They had to replace/add some moulding as well. They replaced and painted white the interior doors on two of the bedrooms, bifold closet doors on two of the bedrooms, and one small closet door on the third bedroom.

Description of Work: I obtained the company telephone number from a list on Angie's List. The owner of the business, Hugh M. Caldwell III came to my home in Tucson, Arizona at my request to give me an estimate of the work to be done. This included removal of popcorn ceilings in all rooms of the 4 bedroom, 2458 square foot home plus the garage with considerable prep work, new texturing and two coats of paint on the interior. Also, included was painting of the exterior of the home, including new texturing and paint on the front porch entrance. He provided me with an estimate on 4/23/12. I told him it would be quite some time before the home was cleared for work to be done and he understood this. Hugh was selected and he and his crew began work on June 11, 2012 and finished on June 29, 2012. All of the work was completed to my total satisfaction. Hugh gave me the 20% discount provided on Angie's List which gave me the impetus to hire him for the work.

+ 0 moreThe job went very well and I would use them again. They also do exterior painting and I will be using them for that project also. As stated before, they did exactly what they said they would do. I have no complaints. Some of the walls were very dark colored before they started and they covered them very well. They actually found some areas that needed attention and fixed them at no additional charge.
Description of Work: HC Drywall & Painting did an excellent job on a difficult complete inside house painting and some drywall work that I had them do on a 2000 sq ft house that I had recently bought. I had the complete inside of the house painted, walls & ceiling. They did the job in the allotted time frame. The used a very good quality paint, not cheap paint. The craftmenship was professional. They did what they said the would do. They cleaned up after themselves. The owner of the company was a hands on person, not a supervisor. The owner was very pleasent and professional. The house was vacant at the time of the job.
