They explained much more than they needed to share, and I appreciated their commitment to helping understand the problem. I would rate them A+ if there were permissible; TOP NOTCH BUSINESS!!!

Description of Work: They came out to look at my air conditioning unit and they found I needed new duct work. I had them do the work as well. The service was excellent. They were polite, prompt, and I felt like my home was in good hands.

Description of Work: Hamstra Heating and Cooling replaced my old heating unit, and also put a new AC unit on the roof. They removed all the old equipment, and hauled it away. They cleaned up after themselves. I only received one other bid, and the prices were pretty much the same. I feel the communication throughout the process was excellent , and I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: I have used Hamstra Heating and Cooling, Inc. in the past. This time, however, what I needed was a Master Cooler shut down. A great lady helped me with such professionalism and care by REFERRING me to ~The Cooler Guy ~ Mike who came and was just as professional as Hamstra who referred me to Mike. I was completely satisfied with his help in completing the work and he also started up my furnace, checking it out first. I would recommend Mike to anyone with a cooler start up or shut down. I am also switching over to his services from another company who I have had for years.

Description of Work: Hamstra's came in and repaired the severely damaged (and apparently never quite properly completed!) concrete returns under my 1948 house and sealed all of the metal ductwork (with Aeroseal) as well. The two fellows who worked here couldn't have been nicer or more considerate. It was discovered that the fellow who built and installed our bookcases had improvised a vent cover that would have made sealing the metal ductwork impossible, but Ted actually crawled into the ductwork and saved the day! I highly recommend Hamstra's--and they were recommended to me by another person. The job was pricey, but I had a good feeling about Hamstra's from the start. I had absolutely no doubts about having these fellows working inside my house.

Description of Work: We recently had Hamstra install a new heating/air conditioning unit on our house in Green Valley, Az. We asked for quotes from three installers, all recommended by Angie's List. All three presented themselves well, and were about the same price, but Hamstra's Randy McDonnel was outstanding. Installation went as scheduled, and we were impressed with employees Robert Brown, Robert Carr, Bill, Kolten, Eric, and Daniel (the sub-contractor who cleaned and sanitized the duct work). Sorry to say I might have forgotten other Hamstra folks, but they all did well. There was only one snafu, when workers on the roof inadvertently cut our natural gas supply, which let our hot water heater pilot light go out. I was able to re-light it without problems. On balance we are very satisfied with Hamstra.

Description of Work: I called Hamstra and described the problem with the Heater. The man who answered advised I check two items before scheduling a service call which would cost $89. Sure enough, the gas to the furnace had been shut off. Thanks to Hamstra I saved the cost of service call.
