Hamstra was very professional. They presented the options. We opted for the 4.5 ton unit. Hamstra was very nice to lend us two room units, and we were able to get by with the old unit heroically working--albeit tentatively. We were surprised that it took a couple of weeks for the new unit to arrive. But everything went according to schedule. The installation went fairly smoothly, but took a couple of days (as per schedule).
We are thrilled with the new unit. It is much more powerful and comfortable than its predecessor. We will definitely use Hamstra when the unit on the west side fails.

Two days later, it failed again for yet another reason. Thank goodness Hamstra came out and replace this part for free.
Everyone I dealt with was courteous and professional. Everyone appeared to be trying to meet my needs. Just seems that something broke down in the process. I would use again, but this was not the delightful experience other occasions have been.

Technician arrived same day to trouble-shoot the issue, the sales representative arrived first thing the next morning, and the replacement unit was replaced a few days later. They also provided a portable unit to provide relief while waiting for the replacement unit to be installed.
I did receive other quotes and while Hamstra was not the cheapest their pricing was competitive and I felt more comfortable with Hamstra.

I have had two major problems in the first year of service. The first problem was a roof leak do to the install. Hamstra refused to fix the problem untill I showed them in the contract where this was a warrenty item. Six months later my unit broke and it took 2 weeks to get it fixed.
The installation crew was great. They were neat, courteous, on time, and very professional. Billy, who is the leader f the installation team, found a potential improvement to Jeff Hamstra's design and this was incorporated in the new system. It greatly improved the system and saved me 5% on the final bill.
The sytem has been up and running for several weeks and I'm a happy camper!

Also, with the old system, I always had very slight allergic symptoms when the AC was running, nothing great but it was noticeable. From the first day with the new system. those symptoms disappeared. I'd now recommend those services to others in the future.
Overall, I am very pleased with Hamstra and would use them again in the future.
