Description of Work: The air conditioning technician that they sent out was amazing.He is very good at his job and Resolved all My problem in a timely fashion.I had 3 other companies come out, but could not repair the job at all.Thank you for all your hard work.

 + -1 moreAVOID GOETTL LIKE THE PLAGUE. I'm sure this Jay is a fine man, but this company is horrible. I spent 25K with them. They have cancelled appts they made for annual inspection service at least 5 times.They did a bait and switch on service promises for the hot water system they sold me... Their Sadie service is a joke. Moreover, the HVAC and the plumbing install work they did is sub par. BUYER BEWARE

 + -1 moreI had an appointment scheduled, and they called in the last 15 minutes of the window to say they were too busy to make it. I reschedule for a week later. They called an hour into my appointment to give me a heads up I'd likely be at the end of the window due to a delay. I call an hour after the window ends, and they said the technician was stuck on the previous job, but I was next on the list. I received the same response when I called again two hours later. After six hours of waiting, I decided to cancel. I can see I'm not the first reviewed who got this BS response from them. I can't comment on the service as I've never gotten them to come out to my house, but the people I spoke with on the phone were incredible nice. They weren't pushy when I made it clear I was canceling and not rescheduling my appointment.

 + -1 moreThe sales rep was extremely friendly honest and provided me with total no pressure guidance on the ideal system for my home. He offered an amazing system that was totally out of my budget, but based on questions he asked me...he ended up recommending a mid-level system that was almost $4000 cheaper. The day of installation the installers were respectful and professional. They kept us in the loop during the day of the work. They showed up on time and were done by the promised time. They took pics of everything and emailed me everything on the instal completion. The sales guy called to check in, too, to make sure it all went well. I would use them again, hopefully not soon.
Description of Work: Our HVAC system seized itself after 10 years. Basically I needed a new system replaced, inside and out, and we received quotes from 3 different vendors, but Goettl was the most responsive and attentive.

 + -1 morethey called to renew the contract. For some obscure reason they did not cover and did not notify me that the split is no longer covered. They serviced my unit without servicing the split. Two weeks later a leak was discovered which would have been recognized if they would have serviced the unit. When I called for service the tech suggested a repair of $1300 but refused to fix the unit for 5 days ( this was the coldest day of the year). ACS came immediately and fixed the problem for $300

Description of Work: I bought a brand new Amana system for $15,000.00, and the squirrel cage (blower) was making racket because the actual manufacturer had assembled it wrong, Then Goettl had to fix it. I got a lifetime warranty on it.

 + -1 moreCalled Goettl on a Tuesday morning because my A/C is having a hard time doing it's job. The lady asked if we had insurance to cover the work, and I clearly told her we had American Home Shield but we would be self-paying instead. She said they would have someone out between 10-2 the next day. Wednesday, I took most of the day off from work to be there for the repairman, and he never showed up. Around 2:00, I called back, and she told me that no one was coming because they don't do American Home Shield work at this time. (A) we were not going to use American Home Shield and (B) a phone call would have been nice to let us know that no one was coming. Totally incompetent and unprofessional, and time to shop around.

 + -1 moreThe Sal and Chris were both amazing. Very helpful. Explained everything step by step. They answered all my questions and made me feel more knowledgeable about my own system. They fixed my system in a timely manner and did not leave until they were sure they had fixed the problem. This company definitely showed they cared about the work they do. I will be using them in the future for all my AC needs.
Description of Work: Our downstairs AC stopped working. Goettl was able to send a technician out the same day and diagnose the problem. Unfortunately they had to replace the coil. Since it was late, we had to wait until the morning for them to be able to get the new coil. They gave us the first appointment the following day and offered to bring us a portable AC to keep us cool. Thankfully our upstairs AC was working fine so I declined but I thought that was very nice of them and showed me they go above and beyond for their customers. We had cold air again in less then 24 hours!

Description of Work: We made an important decision for home improvement and that decision was Goettl. This company is superb in regards to quality, expertise of their working crew and Samuel Bonsall the the "Comfort Advisor". Sam- the Tucson comfort advisor came to our home after we received quotes from 2 other ac companies one company said we needed a 3 ton unit . Sam measured our home and stated we needed a 4 ton unit. He was correct We were amazed with his level of professionalism We would strongly recommend Goettl to persons in Tucson who have to make the choice of such an important selection for their home.

Description of Work: My A/C went out on a recent Sunday. Couldn't contact my regular provider. Contacted Goettl who sent out a technician first thing Monday morning. After replacing a faulty capacitor(part still under warranty by manufacturer)their technician told me the reason the capacitor failed was because the recently installed unit "wasn't grounded." He would happily fix this "problem" for a fee. Suspicious of this claim, I successfully contacted the mom and pop business I bought the from, and who regularly maintained it twice yearly. They said separate grounding was not needed because the main power line had a metal shield. Then the Goettl tech said I needed more Freon, another extra cost, and a hard start kit (apprx. $600). My regular service person said, after he later came out to check the system, NO added refrigerant was needed. The hard start kit was absolutely not required, since the A/C was only 4 yrs old. Needless to say, I was extremely upset by these three add on which I didn't buy. It was clear, following contact with a service person I trust, Goettl was only interested in tacking on whatever extras I, as one who knows little about A/C, except how it feels when it doesn't work, could be frightened into buying. Actual cost to me for apprx. 35 minutes on site, of which, hands on the unit was less than 10 minutes was $265.00 labor. Note: the state of Arizona is suing this company to put them out of business, for a number of unsatisfactory complaints state wide. Further note" my regular service person came out later that same day to check what Goettl's technician did and to ensure my system would continue to work properly. What did he charge me? NOTHING!

 + -1 moreI'm not sure how this company is still in business. Clearly they overcharge, they break things, their techs are rude and the managers fight with you on the phone and then never follow back up. We called Goettl to fix our A/C. Charged us $1100 for a motor that cost $500 from every other company, then they caused a freon leak. When we called them back, they wanted to charge $600 to fix the leak. Called another company, only $200. Then they kept calling to schedule a check up. Because they kept calling, I asked them to come out and clean the unit. Not covered under the service agreement? Seems strange. The tech wouldn't even look at our unit because he said it was too old and needed to be replaced. Called another company and they cleaned it for $75. Then I called the manager, JD, to complain and he basically said that his tech said we would call and lie about what happened. Then he said he'd call us back. It's been a week, no call back. What a great way to do business.
Description of Work: The first time we called for frozen A/C unit. The second time we called for a freon leak. The third time we called for a cleaning.
