Description of Work: We purchased a glass table top. Robert did not deliver the item as promised, nor did he even bother to call to say he was not showing-up. When we called to see what was going-on, Robert said he was "doing (us) a favor" by delivering the item (which was actually part of the original sales agreement), so he had no obligation to call if he was not going to show-up. That same evening we found the identical item on-line for less than half of what Glass Smith wanted (YES, LESS THAN HALF) and that company shipped the item all they way from New York at no additional cost. It never seemed to sink-in to Robert that WE were actually doing HIM a favor by patronizing his business. I would never again deal with Glass Smith, given Robert's arrogant sense of entitlement and Glass Smith's outrageously inflated prices. Glass Smith (and Robert) needs to learn that a service organization serves the customer; the customer does not serve the service organization. I would caution all to stay as far away from these characters as possible.

 + -1 moreVery very helpful counter service in the showroom. They were so specific about exactly what my needs were and how to measure for six separate small tabletops. The salesman wrote a very detailed order. Work was performed exactly the way we wanted and was ready a day early. We have used 2 other glass companies in Tucson and this was the best experience by far. Prices were right in line with competitors. Total service with a smile. Good communication.

 + -1 moreHe helped us to select the glass-there were many samples to choose from- and for a reasonable price had it ready when he said he would - in a week- despite the busyness of the shop and the many larger projects - shower enclosers etc. - that he was involved in. He helped us to place glass and table correctly in our car and was wonderfully couteous through both encounters.
Description of Work: He cut glass for our coffee table.

 + -1 moreVery satisfying. Glass Smith understood the unusual nature of the project. Contacted the glass artist to get briefed about the construction of the glass, its dimensions and weight. Finding the proper channel took some time. The glass art is in place and quite striking. Glass Smith worked well with the glass artist.
Description of Work: Picked up art glass shower panel from glass artist studio. Delivered art glass to house. Installed glass in shower. This required finding and ordering unusual sized framing channel due to odd thickness of the art glass. After the glass was installed, silicone sealing was necessary to secure the glass in the channels, and to seal the channels to the shower wall and floor.
