+ -1 moreTech. was not very knowledgeable as he kept asking us (the customers)" what did we think?" Excuse me that is why I called you in the first place to help me set up new computer programs and instructions. He plugged my monitor cord in that was loose and declared the problem solved. He played around with the computer for a bit as I was paying for an hour worth of service. I would highly recommend that you find another company to fix your computer other than the Geeks.

+ -1 moreOverall, I am very dissatisfied. I will find other services so that I do not have to use Geek Squad again.
Description of Work: The Geek Squad was paid by Best Buy or however they work it out. I was charged Approximately $50 for home delivery, another $70 for seamless delivery and $170 for whole room service. Upon arrival, they asked where the new TV set was. I almost fell over before telling them that they were supposed to bring it with them. They then said they needed another connecting wire and had one they could sell me. I had purchased the right connecting wire and went looking for it. By the time I found it, they told me I didn't need it because the wire came with my TV. This whole fiasco, of course, gave me great confidence in their knowledge. Geek squad states the give you directions but that is hit or miss. It is just awful that they left before I could try the whole system together. After paying a good deal for the service, I am left with needing to keep 5 remotes by my side. They did not program any of them to work together. I decided to call and ask why wasn't this done since it had been done in the past. I have used Geek squad over the past 8 or 9 years and am familiar with their service. When the person answered my call, he said he didn't know why the programing wasn't done. He said that the easy solution was for me to buy a universal remote from Geek Squad and to pay for the remote setup package. This is ludicrous and means that Geek Squad gets more and more money. In the future, I will not buy from Best Buy and get locked into the Geek Squad. To other buyers BEWARE.

+ -1 moreThey were real nice and did a good job. He asked me questions. He was really informative and helped a lot and came out the next day and set it up. They were even willing to save me money and let me know the cheapest, but best Bluray option would be for my other TV. They also said they will come out and hook that up.
Description of Work: I was going to buy a box so I could do Netflix. He recommended. I had a wireless card and told me that these things that plug right in at your house you can download to your TV all over the house and it was much more reasonable to do it that way rather than invest in an individual system for the TV.
