Friday Appliance Svc

We contracted Friday through our home warranty company to replace a built in microwave that was making a very loud buzzing noise when it was turned on. During the initial visit, the repairman broke the glass door. I was not upset over a mistake that was understandable, but what came next is indicative of their overall service. The repairman quickly left, neglecting to clean the mess of broken glass despite the knowledge of two 3 year old children in the home. We saw him go out through the front door in a rush and expected to have him come back in and finish the remainder of the repairs. Instead, we watched as his truck pull out of the drive. I called Friday and after the weekend they got around to returning my message. The door replacement, in addition to a few other parts would need to be ordered and we would be notified when ready. No big deal, that bit is understandable. The repairman returned a couple weeks later and replaced the door, but noting else. He told us our parts were on order. What occurred next is a collection of messages and broken promises over a 6 week period. We would call and check the status of our parts, a receptionist would arrange for the repairman to come out and complete the work, then no one would show up. Eventually, they stopped returning our messages and I called the home warranty company to engage the services of a vendor who could perform the work requested on schedule. If it were not for the fact that this was through a warranty company, I would have selected a new vendor after that first visit; big mistake. This company is an absolute joke.
