EMSP Appliance Repair

Several parts had been replaced in the failed unit, but it still didn't heat anything. We hired this company specifically to fix the microwave. They stated they wouldn't warranty the repair work, which we said was OK, but that didn't mean not successfully repairing it to working status. The end result, we paid quite a bit for a microwave that was left as broken as it was when we started. We've opted just to replace the entire unit rather than ultimately pay about the same in repair bills for the old unit.

I called expecting to make an appointment for later in the week and was OK with that because we had some room in a small chest freezer in the garage and it wasn't yet an emergency. Dave said he could be here around 3:00PM that day and was. An hour later repairs were complete, the freezer was already getting colder fast. Less than 24 hours later the freezer is at 0 degrees F and we're "back in business." The price was very fair and more importantly, I have confidence that Dave really knows his stuff! If/when we have appliance issues in the future, I can eliminate the search. I will also recommend EMSP to my friends.

It was wonderful! Several calls before the service call to make sure they had the potential parts with them and timely me know exactly the time they would arrive. Wonderful customer service. They explained everything the did, took picture and repair options. I couldn't have asked for better service! Would use them again!

It turns out the dryer is fine but I do have a problem with the actual breaker. They cleaned and inspected my entire dryer and thoroughly explained everything they did. They left my house cleaner than when they arrived. Clearly professionals that know their business...but now I need an electrician. :)

Saturday afternoon and the stand alone freezer was not freezing. We used dry ice to keep the food as cold as possible until Monday morning to call for service. One service provider called could not come out until Wed. Another had an appt. time period of 2:30 to 4:30 pm the same day. I called EMSP and was able to get a one hour appt. window for 10 to 11 am the same day. David ( and Josh) called just prior to arrival and arrived a few minutes later, within the time frame. David determined the problem very quickly, fixed it & it all took less than an hour from start, to clean up and out the front door. Very professional and personable and he took the time to explain the problem and the fix. I will call them again if needed, without hesitation. ** Calling & making the appt. was easy, accommodating and friendly - she was very responsive to our need for repair as soon as possible.

They were very professional, showed up on time. Work performed was done very well and the same day I called. The price was a bit high $385 to clean a bunch of lint out of the motor, cabinet and vent pipe. I scheduled this repair long distance from Colorado and all in all went off without a hitch.

It went great. David and his son Josh showed up and figured out what the problem was. They had to take apart the whole dryer to get to lint that was bunched up and not allowing flow. This could have caused a fire. They also cleaned and serviced the dryer so it is like brand new. I am so glad I called them right away and even though it was the day before New Years Eve they came out and did the work with no hesitation. I was fortunate that David's wife and co-owner Sammi was waiting in the car taking business calls. We chatted for a while and I know this family will always do right by the customer. I was also very excited to find a company that can service and repair about 99% of things that could go wrong in our home. We are going to schedule them to do maintenance on two refrigerators and we are waiting for pricing for a new furnace.

Went well. This is a rental property and my tenant was very happy. He actually called me and said, you need to make sure you use these folks in the future. My experience on the phone was quick and very professional. They coordinated with the tenant to get exact info and came prepared with parts to get finished prior to Thanksgiving. I will definitely use this company again if I have further issues.

David reviewed the issue with me, took the appropriate time to survey the problem, and gave me a full rundown of what was need to fix my dryer. Once I agreed, he quickly fixed it, even going so far as to have before and after pics for me while he explained what he had done to complete the repair.

Electro Mechanical Service was very responsive and professional. The dryer is making a little bit of a loud noise when it starts (which I may call about when I find the time), but it is working great and drying clothing more quickly and thoroughly than it has in years. We were having to run the dryer 3-4 times per load. Now one load, even of heavy towels, is dry in one cycle. The owner/technicians were extremely pleasant, informative, and professional.

I called them on a Monday. They called me on Tuesday to verify the model number so they would have the correct parts. They came out on Wednesday, diagnosed the problem, had the parts they needed, replaced the board. All set! Wonderful experience! I' glad to have their name in my files.

After checking out EMSP on Angie's List I called and explained my problem. I had had the duct cleaned (another provider, previously reviewed), but that didn't solve the problem. It was a couple of days before they could come, but that was no problem, since no clothes needed drying for at least another week. Really good thing: when I made the service appointment EMSP asked me for the make and model number of the dryer. When the service men arrived they had all the parts needed to make the necessary repairs, so they were able to make same-day repairs without having to postpone repairs while they ordered parts. Impressive. On the day of the appointment David called and informed me that he was running late (very nice of him). Later that afternoon David and Victor arrived, diagnosed the problem, gave me an acceptable estimate, and they went to work: replaced the failed heater and a couple of faulty switches, and to avoid future problems, I had them replace the drive belt that rotates the drum (I figured that its integrity must have been compromised by the high temperatures to which it had been exposed). They also cleaned and vacuumed the interior of the dryer, which had an alarming accumulation of lint (previous owner may not have kept on top of the maintenance of this six-year-old dryer, which I've only owned for a year--it came with our "new" house). David and Victor, both of whom were very pleasant and professional, worked until the job was finished--well after 5 p.m. And they gave me a 10% discount with the Angie's List coupon I had printed out. The cost of service may seem a bit high (even after the $79 service call was waived because repairs were made), but I figured that it was an excellent investment, much less expensive to repair a machine that cost the original purchaser $1,600 than to buy a new one. I was very impressed that they arrived with all the spare parts they would need, and I don't hesitate to give them my highest recommendation.

Excellent job! Showed up on time, excellent customer service skills. Completed troubleshooting, found the problem in less than 10 minutes. Had the part on hand, overall work was completed in less than 30 minutes. Fridge is humming away!

Bought the Angie's deal before I knew that there were zip code restrictions. I had to move the refrigerator to a zip code to get it worked on. The repair involved changing a relay which initially seemed to fix the problem. They instructed me that if the problem persisted, the other part to change was a thermostat. After I moved the refrigerator back to its home location, the thermostat also turned out to need changing. I was able to do that myself with a small bit of coaching from Electro Mechanical Services. The approximate cost includes the $45 cost for the coupon.

David was punctual. professional, and thorough. As he worked, he explained what he was doing and the function of each part that was tested. He was very meticulous and instructed me on the proper temperature range, how to monitor it, and on how the refrigerator dials actually worked (something the manual didn't). Excellent job.

Fantastic response. Easily the best appliance repair group I have dealt with. Prompt, thoroughly tested unit while fully explaining what was being discovered. Conservative in the repair estimate - some parts did not need to be replaced so cost came in below estimate. Very professional.

Provider adjusted our mother board on our stove and got it working again. They advised us to keep an eye on it and did not want to charge us an additional several hundred dollars to install a new mother board. They have integrity and we appreciated that.

The service provider came to the conclusion that the motor was seized and that a replacement was needed to get the dishwasher back in operating condition.

They didn't have to do much, but talked us through and educated us as to why it didn't work and what to do in the future etc. We hadn't used it in years!! Amazing--also have microwave and stove I will have them look at--very professional and punctual.

I had previously had another company troubleshoot the problem and they mis-diagnosed the cause. I decided to call David for help. He spent some time on the phone with me to better understand the problem, then I set up an appointment for him to look at it. He followed a structured and thorough process to check the fridge, and explained it to me as he went along. After spending a good amount of time on this, he determined the air baffle was not working properly. I had not been able to determine the problem, and this approach was exactly what I was looking for. I decided to replace this part myself, and after the repair the fridge is working properly. This troubleshooting was included in the cost of the service call. I am delighted with the service provided, and will not hesitate to use EMSP in the future for help.
