Elegant Movers

Everyone we met from Elegant Movers was cheerful and helpful, we have a lot of old and not very pretty furniture that's much too bulky for us to handle alone, and some of it just wasn't salvageable after over fifteen years in the same rental home. Not only did they help us get the good stuff to our new house, they helped us get some really great deals on new pieces that are far better than what we had before, and all of this for much less cost than we were expecting to pay. I can't recommend these guys enough and we'd use them again in a heartbeat (although I don't think we'll be moving again for a long time).

Communication with John, the owner of the company was the only difficult part. Though even so, he scheduled me within a week of my move. It did take about a week to schedule it because he couldn't give me a firm date, and I had to follow up several times. I didn't know for sure which day it would be until two days before. The movers who came were wonderful, patient with me being in the way trying to help, efficient, strong, and really personable. I would definitely use this company again despite the scheduling difficulty. I think if I had called a few weeks in advance it would have gone better.

I recommend them and will use them if I am ever in the need of movers again.

It went fantastic the two gentlemen showed up exactly on time they set at stopwatch to account for the amount of time they would be working and they charged me exactly for that time they were fast efficient and very pleasant and friendly

It went very well. They did excellent work. They came in, did the job quickly and went away. That's pretty much all we could ask for. They did a great job. The price was very reasonable.

The crew of 3 men arrived promptly and moved all of the contents of the storage unit quickly and placed the items in the new home as directed being careful not to damage anything. The guys were friendly, professional and actually finished 45 minutes earlier than the estimated time for the move.

The movers were friendly and polite and showed up on time. The job went faster than what we expected, and if it were not for one thing I would recommend these movers in the future. However, even though they were fast and friendly, they did not wrap my sofa or chair, which are WHITE nontheless, and now I have huge dirt marks on them both that will necessitate professional cleaning. I did not pay movers to have to then pay for another professional service right after. I would have taken it in stride if the pieces had picked up some dirt but been wrapped, but they were not...and all I can think is, these guys are supposed to be professional right? Who doesn't wrap white furniture?!? Also, I could hear both mean cussing frequently in the presence of my infant daughter....they might have been "whispering" but apparently they dont realize how loud they were actually talking. All in all, I guess you get what you pay for. Won't recommend and won't reuse.

It went very well, in spite of the monsoon! They arrived on time, emptied the house quickly, and brought my possessions into the new place. It was a long day, as I had 2 drops and a rain delay of 2 hrs. I was given credit for the time they didn't want to take things off the truck be cause of the lengthly exposure to the rain.

We selected Elegant Movers based on the reviews in Angie's List. John Record, the owner, answered my initial phone call and calculated an estimate on that call. He personally moved us. He phoned us enroute, and kept us advertised of the arrival time. He and his assistant showed up as advertised, and took professional care of our furniture, disassembling, wrapping, loading, moving, placing, and reassembling as necessary. Elegant ended up moving around 20 pieces a distance of 5 miles within Green Valley. They operated at a steady and continuous pace; no hanging out to build time. They worked through lunch. We paid for the actual time and fuel charges, as quoted. The entire process was professionally done. There were no damages; no surprises, no issues of any kind. I would use Elegant again, and am happy to recommend them.

The first group of movers looked for our house for about an hour and then went home. The second group was rather young and inexperienced. I was expecting the owner to be with them, but he was with neither group. There were items that were damaged in the move. A leg fell off of the table that they glued back on that seems to be holding together so far. A floor lamp was also broken so it no longer stands up and I had to purchase a new one. When I informed the mover of this, the guy said that it was probably due to being cheaply made, but he'll be coming by later to look at it. It was an inexpensive lamp, but his response I found irresponsible. The price was quite reasonable, but the damages were not well handled. The packer they had, Samantha, spent three days helping me pack and unpack all of my items. It was a lot of work and she was able to get it done all by herself! I referred her to another family that is getting ready to move.

They were very punctual. They had enough people to work on that day. They even had a couple more than we thought and didn't charge us for that. The owner of the company came by to see how everything was going. They only allotted a certain amount of time and that was probably the only reason that we got extra people. They were trying to get new customers in this area. We didn't seem to have any particular problem with them and provided a good service.

For the most part the move went well; it took a lot longer than they expected. The owner actually helped with the move. He originally planned the move to be 4 hours for two guys but it took them a lot longer so the owner showed up with an additional person. They corrected the problem that they originally saw but it took them 8 hours instead of 4.

When you pay people by the hour they drag out the experience! Slow Packers used so much paper it took me a week to dispose of at the recycling center. Items not needing packing had three sheets while items need more attention got nothing! Very inconsistent.

Fantastic. Made the call to John and his crew came the same day. Price was far less than other quotes and the service top notch. Matt/Zach and Daniel called to alert me of a delay in their previous job, were prompt regarding the change in time and provided friendly, personable service. Elegant Movers will be my first choice in the future.

John (the owner) and Brian arrived on time and were extremely efficient. There were a few items which were in disrepair (prior to the move) which John fixed much to our amazement! It just so happened the couple moving into the apartment next to my friends, were unloading at the same time and they helped that couple move the remainder of their items, deducting the time from our bill to make our move more time efficient, which greatly impressed me. I would definitely recommend Elegant Movers to anyone, and would most assuredly use them for any future moves. Definitely 5-Stars in my book!!

I hired Elegant Movers to transport my belongings in a large storage unit to a new residence. These belongings had been packed away for a couple of years courtesy of the military and we had some fragile items we were concerned with. We had two gentlemen assigned to the task (Phil and Joey) and they did a phenomenal job, they were genuinely respectful of "our stuff" and used the utmost caution in handling the move. I was not only impressed s their skill but also the price of the job. They made the whole process stress free and were true professionals. Also, when I made the original phone call to get an estimate I received very prompt attention and courtesy from John, the owner. Overall a great experience and real professionals!! I would recommend them easily.

I had Connelly reassemble a pool table that had been moved from another state. The workmen arrived on time and were very professional and courteous. They worked with me on the best placement of the table, talking about the pros and cons. I don't plan to move the table again, but if I did, I'd call them back!

Do make sure the movers who come to help know what they are moving and where. Do ask for blankets to cover furniture that may get scratched. Do try to be ready to move.

Moving is so stressful but Elegant Movers made things so much easier end 2 end. They were on time for the estimate. On time for the quote. On time for pick up and ahead of schedule for the actual move. They had a full team who were all very professional and there was absolutely no dame to my furniture (and I have heavy antiques). I have moved 21 times over my lifetime and Elegant Movers was superior to every moving company I have worked with in the past. It is a joy for me to type this accolade for them and I would recommend them highly!!!!

Larry and Sammy showed up on time and did an excellent job of moving furniture and boxes to a storage facility. I would recommend them to any one who needs moving services.

Do's: Have everything packed and ready to go.

The two guys showed up an hour late. The first two hours they moved slowly to get things loaded. Once I told them that I had a budget they started to pick up the pace and the quality of packing went down. Multiple times they told me what couldn't be done and that I hadn't done it before. There was a lot of empty space that could have been filled with small stuff as they went along but it wasn't done and therefore I had to leave a lot of small things behind which was very disappointing. When they went to charge me they said they were only gone for about 15 min for lunch when in reality it was closer to 45 min. Very disappointed. If I hadn't had my surgery there is no way I would have hired them.

The movers made what could have been a stressful day go so smoothly, they all had a great attitude and sense of humor! I would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!
