E-Z Move

I have never in my life, left a negative review, but this was the worst service of any kind I've ever had. If ZERO stars was an option, that's what I would give. First of all, they charged more than what was quoted. This was an in-town move. All small items were already packed in boxes. They only need to pack up a truck, take apart furniture, and load it. They had 4 guys and said we should hire a 5th guy at $75/hr extra. Instead, my wife and I decided to help them. It took 12hrs with 6 of us working (4 "professional movers", plus my wife and I). The movers were slow, lazy, disrespectful. On breaks they smoked weed and would lay down. Even my 12yr old could smell it. They broke a marble table and scratched lots of furniture. They would talk back to us and argue with each other. When we reported this to the boss/owner, they became even more rude to us. My wife did not feel comfortable being left alone with them, while I was loading my own truck to help the move. She got on the phone with the answering service, who informed us, that it was a recorded call. My wife reported that the movers smelled like marijuana on this recorded line. We have reported them to BBB, but so far, the moving company has refused to give us a copy of the recording. When I spoke with the boss/owner a couple days later, asking for a discount of this horrible experience, he was rude as well. He wanted me to figure out who broke the table. He blamed us for giving a bad estimate on how much stuff we had. He claimed we did not report the marijuana and he laughed at me when I asked for a discount of the service. Bottom line, they charged us over $4000. This in town move took over 12hrs, with 4 of their movers, plus my wife and I literally working alongside them for those 12hrs. I was even running the hand truck back and forth myself. All the time during this they were slow, lazy, disrespectful, and high on marijuana.

Movers said they could do the job in one day. In the late afternoon a second trip needed to be made but they refused. They wanted to finish another day and charge more. We had taken down the dog fencing so then found ourselves with no place for the dogs at either location. We were left scrambling but finished the job ourselves. When the movers delivered the items there was damage. Our Thomasville dining set had just been refinished and was still wrapped in blankets the day the movers arrived. There were dings in the table when the movers delivered it. The Drexel china cabinet had chips dinged out of the glass shelves as well. When questioned about the damage the response was "Well, you watched us load it." When the request was made to talk to the owner he said he was the owner. Finally he offered $50 in consideration for the damage.
