I'm afraid that I have to agree with BR. The repair person (I can only assume it was Phil but do not know for sure as he never introduced himself) arrived not in a company vehicle but in an old broken down Suburban or similar vehicle. He arrived dressed not appropriately but in what looked like whatever he had been lounging around in. He proceeded to take a personal call at length and complain about his dispatcher to his friend on the line. He stated that dishwashers are not for washing dishes but for sanitizing them. This statement was delivered with a very reproachful look. He stated that he needed to order a part that was broken and "Since I was unable to locate the model number of the washer" that it would take a few days to get the part in. He stated this as if I should know where to find model numbers of appliances and was delivered very condescendingly. He then stated that I would have to somehow remove the water from the washer "If you don't want me to put the water all over your floor" Couple of days go by and nobody calls so I of course have to call them. I was told that "Yes the part has come in but our next available appointment is in a week and a half."... I told the lady on the phone that that wouldn't work for me and that I had to go (I was going out the door to get to work) and hung up the phone. I spoke to my wife later that day and explained to her what was going on. My wife said she would call and follow up with them and proceeded to try and get a hold of them but no one answered the phone. When she finally did get someone they told her to call some other guy at a different phone number... This new person never answered. Flash forward to the day before they said they were going to come back. My wife called yet again to confirm and they told her that they canceled everything through our home warranty and stated the reason was that "your husband yelled at me and hung up" I never "yelled" at her I merely told her that another appointment a week and a half away wouldn't work for me and that I had to go. These people are "working" out of their home by the sounds coming over the line when I spoke to them with dogs barking and kids yelling. They are very unprofessional and my first instinct was not to let this dirty tattooed guy in my home. I wish I would have followed that instinct and write this to save the next person a lot of hassle and aggravation Steer clear of these people. I write this not lightly. I have never written a bad review before so do yourself a favor and steer clear of this "company"

I had Phil from Diaz and Sons out to fix two appliances over the course of a year. The first time he came out to fix a dishwasher. He looked at it for 5 minutes and said he needed to order a part and left. A few minutes after he left, I called and asked if he was willing to swing back and take a look at a different dishwasher with the same issue that could be fixed instead (it would have been a nicer dishwasher). I was hoping he would do it without an extra charge since he was already paid a lot, he was maybe a mile away, and he had only spent 5 minutes looking at the issue. He said he would only do it for double the fee. Since I did not want to pay double, we proceeded with the original plan, and he replaced the part on the dishwasher a few days later. It did not fix the problem, but I did not call him back; there was something off about him and I did not want to do business with him again. We ended up fixing the dishwasher ourselves. About a year later, he was out to fix a washing machine. I had forgotten about his company and did not realize it was the same company and the same person until he arrived. He seemed friendly at first, but that quickly changed. When it was time to pay, he said they added a credit card processing fee. It was small and trivial, but it was not disclosed before the job was started, and I prefer not to pay extra credit card fees. I offered to pay in cash, but he did not have change. I offered to mail a check, but he demanded payment on the spot. I paid him by credit card, including the previously undisclosed fee, and asked him to let people know about the credit card fee over the phone next time so they could choose to avoid it by having cash or check ready. He should have waived the fee because he did not disclose it before doing the work. Instead, he cut me off and became condescending and rude. Phil was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. Maybe he felt I did something wrong by asking him to work an extra few minutes for no extra cost a long time ago, and now for asking that a fee be disclosed before the work is started, but at no point did I insult him, raise my voice, say anything negative, or even complain about anything other than the undisclosed fee; and that “complaint” was merely asking him to disclose the fee before doing the work in the future. It is sad that Phil from Diaz and Sons could not be friendly and professional as well. It is fine to charge a lot, have extra fees, and refuse discounts, but it is completely unacceptable for a business person to be rude, mean, condescending, unprofessional, and charge undisclosed fees. I am not willing to do business with companies that treat me poorly. I expect companies to treat me fairly, and to be friendly. I expect companies to disclose their fees before doing the work. I expect companies to be professional and courteous. I expect companies to do the job they agreed to do. Diaz and Sons would not do that. I suggest you do what I did, and fire Diaz and Sons.

Mr. Diaz was very professional and pleasant. The estimate was reasonable for the work to be done and was accurate for final costs. His team worked extremely hard all day and until it was getting dark to finish up. They were thorough in cleaning up the yards of debris. The roofs have performed well through the monsoon season and look great.
Description of Work: We have a pitched roof that had all new shingles installed as well as some boards replaced. We have a swamp cooler that had to be removed and remounted. We 0had another smaller swamp cooler that we had them remove and patch the roof. We also have an addition with a flat roof that was stripped of old layers of patches and covering and recovered with a tan latex covering.
