Description of Work: Sean made a good presentation and we have friends who have used his product so I know it was good. However, the guarantee, other than Sean, is with a company in Phoenix (100 miles away). This company has had bankruptcy problems in the past. If there were someone more reliable to go to if there was a problem, we would have gone with Desert as the price was excellent.

+ -1 moreWe were introduced to Desert Windows at the Home Show. We made an appointment with the sales person. Allow time for the presentation. The window installation was scheduled. They have a 4 window minimum. The windows were installed a few weeks later. It was a team of 6 for the installation. They cleaned up and did a review of the windows. How to open, close and remove the screens. Overall great experience.
Description of Work: I had 4 windows replaced. It was done as scheduled. Very happy with the installation. We will be doing the rest of the house at some point and I will Call Desert Windows again to do the remainder of my windows.

+ -1 moreThe gentleman was very thorough in explaining their windows and had a sample that he used to demonstrate the insulation value of their windows. That was very impressive. Their prices seemed to be a little high. I have to be really sure that it is worth it. I also had the gentlemen look at a window that we were having problems with (leaking), and although he did not offer to help me check the outside of the window for problems, he did tell me specifically to check the weepholes to make sure that they were unobstructed. We didn't feel like we were ready to make a decision on replacing our windows at this time, but we will consider this company should we decide to do so in the future.
Description of Work: Desert Window And Door came out in July this year and gave me a quote to replace some windows.

+ 0 moreI will not go into details about my poor prior service, but I really believed I was getting a quality product installed with care. Now I need to replace the windows after one week and $5000 invested. Desert Window and door would have provided a much better product, a dedicated tradesman whom knows his craft, a better price, and most importantly the relief knowing your house is in good hands. It was apparent Desert Window and Door cares about the customer, their work, and a lifetime of satisfaction. They had been here a long time in Tucson and their work is on display at the Tucson Airport buildings and tower, probably the most demanding window assignment down here in the Old Pueblo....I only wish I would have used them instead; but you live and learn. I offer this report to help you in your efforts of finding quality. Recommended to the highest degree.
Description of Work: Sean is the owner of Desert Windows and came to my house to give me an estimate on window repairs. I just had 4 windows and a sliding door put in by a competitor and the results were horrible. I called three companies to evaluate the poor work and give estimates. All companies were reputable and gave me good information and prices, and hurried to their next sales call. However, Desert Windows and Door went above and beyond. He took over two hours of his time giving me more information and understanding about windows than I'd received from everyone else combined. We covered replacing them, repairing them, all the ratings and how they affect my home, ways to conserve, ideas for other home improvements, he even answered all my detailed questions with scientific data and researched studies. Most other companies look in a book or told me they "would have to check on that". He knew his stuff, inside and out, and I'm the more savvy a consumer thanks to his efforts..
