+ -1 moreI looked on line and found several shade manufacturers and called one about the part I needed. They immediately recommend Desert Wind Shutters. After talking to the receptionist (name I’m not sure of, but super nice) she referred me to John the owner, who was at the warehouse but still had time to talk to me. He knew the part I was talking about after sending him a picture of the broken part.he had it sent to the showroom the very next day for pickup. John was even kind enough to walk me through the process of getting the part back on. In the end my customer, including myself were very happy and I will always recommend Desert wind Shutters. Description of Work: I had some plantation shutters that go over a patio sliding door that were stuck and I couldn't close them.

John pointed out a potential problem with the garage door track and I was able to have the track mounted higher. He was experienced and knew his products. I ordered the shutters and John said the lead time to build them was 4 -6 weeks. John installed them in 4 weeks. They fit perfectly and the install was completed in 15 minutes. The shutters are well made and the job went perfectly.
Description of Work: Built 1 pair of custom interior wood shutters for a golf cart garage window.

Description of Work: Superior workmanship and quality (made in tucson-not china) and at exceptionally reasonable price. Fit and finish perfect. Installed in 4 weeks as promised. John's advice was spot on and on each of 3 visits (2 for separate orders and 1 for install were exactly on time). The quality and fit exceeded my desires.

+ 0 moreJohn White was recommended by our general contractor who said he had never had a client who wanted a plantation shutter but his neighbor built them. I contacted John by email from our home some 3000 miles away. Shortly after we arrived in Tucson, John quickly installed the shutter built to my specifications. Everything fit perfectly. The panels were aligned with the existing window sections. The magnetic closures met exactly as they should. There were no gaps to let in stray sunlight. Altogether an excellent job at a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Manufacture and install a large three panel plantation shutter.
