DESERT VALLEY LANDSCAPING

About a year after we were in our house, it became apparent that the plants that Desert Valley put in were 10 of poor quality, and 20 were not surviving. We took it upon ouselves to slowly replace almost all ot the Desert Valley plants over a period of several years. The on extremely BAD thing that "Chuck" did was to plant an olive tree in the front of our house that (unbeknownst to us) was not a variety that could withstand low temperatures. Consequently, during the few Winters where we have had below freezing temps, the tree tries to protect itself by allowing the outer ends of the branches to turn brown and winter killed. I'm sure "Chuck" knew this tree was not cold hardy, but said nothing to us and took our money. The tree is now a large size and we like the shade it gives in Summer, but it seems every Winter is has this frost kill and looks horrible- needing us to hire a landscaper to attend to it. All in all, we think Desert Valley was not fair to us, gave us poor quality plants, and cahrged us exorbitantly- taking advantage of us. We would warn anyone thinking of doing business with them to stay away!

I contacted the company and made an appointment. When no one showed up by 3 p.m. on the day of the appointment, I called to confirm that someone would be coming. I was told that an inquiry would be made and that I would receive a call in "a little while." Four days later, still no call. So, I called to speak with a supervisor. No supervisor was available, so I left a message and my contact information. When I hadn't heard from anyone in a week, I called again. I was told that the owner wasn't able to send anyone out on the original appointment date. I commented that it would have been nice if someone had called to let me know. I then asked to speak with the owner and, after being informed the he was not available, I once again left my name and number and asked that he call me to discuss the missed appointment. It has now been well over a week and, again, no phone call. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received!!!! I will never call this company again!!
