Description of Work: A lightening strike knocked out several circuits of power in our |yard. Dave was able to quickly the areas affected by the lightening, |fix them, and get things back working again. His work is outstanding |and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Description of Work: Surge protector on main panel was wired wrong, he made it to code. Outdoor light not to code and he made it that way, pretty much had to start from scratch and install light all over again and reword and use correct boxes!

+ -1 moreI got a phone quote from Dave for a 20-amp circuit based on the distance from the box and how the connection would be made. The quote was half of what another electrical company with good reviews gave me. He stayed within the estimate and added TWO 20 amp circuits which I am quite happy about. Now I can run my microwave in the back room without tripping the switch. Dave was very good about communicating what he was going to do and when he would do it. He did have to make 2 holes in the drywall but they were little and he screwed in 2 patches so I just needed to putty in some drywall compound.
Description of Work: Added 2 20-amp circuits.

I was impressed with his attitude and helpfulness. I don't think he charged me as much as he could have, since he came to my house on a holiday.

Description of Work: I have had the pleasure of having Dave perform work at my house twice and will continue to use him in the future, as well as recommend him to my friends and neighbors. Dave has done everything from installing ceiling fans, changing electrical outlets and switches, installing flood lights, removing electrical wiring and more. Above all Dave is professional, fair priced (much less than any other company I got quotes from), friendly and willing to share his opinion and expertise. Equally important is I trust him in my home and felt more than comfortable leaving when I had to run out. I appreciate his thoroughness, quality of workmanship and honesty. When we ran in to an expensive electrical problem, he had an inexpensive solution - he was there to help me, not to charge me for something I didn't need. It was also nice that he cleaned up after the proejcts!

+ -1 moreI will not dispute the bill because I fear him. The several hundred dollars that he overcharged me is not worth being on the receiving end of his rage. The reason I am posting this is because I feel powerless and the only recourse I have is write a review hope that other people are not taken advantage of like I was.
Description of Work: Dave Blankenbaker will underestimate the bid just to get the job, complain about the job when he is doing it, and will not tell you how much any overcharges cost. So in the end, your work will be adequate (not great) at double the cost – and you will have a healthy dose of “attitude” to go with it. A strong word of caution to single women or older customers: Dave can be very aggressive when he works. He regularly spoke to himself in a very unkind way. At one point, he yelled “Oh, you have got to be kidding.” I overheard this and was concerned and asked him if everything was ok. He reprimanded me saying in a paternalistic tone, “I thought I told you that you were not supposed to listen to me when I work.” This coupled with a few other things leads me to believe that Dave has a serious anger management problem.

Description of Work: I had several jobs that had to be done. An electric fan was not working, 2 smoke detectors needed to be installed, a plate was missing off an exterior electrical wiring tube and two electrical boxes needed to be replaced. Al the electrician arrived on time, was courteous and professional and did all the work in one hours time. When I need work done in the future I will call and request AL.
