Nyles was my technician and I could have been happier with the service he provided. My family has been using D&H for years and have had no complaints. This was no exception. In fact, Nyles was next level. He arrived promptly, was patient, courteous, professional and thorough. Every opportunity to explain in the most comprehensive manner possible what he was doing and how my system works (including safety features), was happily utilized. The required maintenance was performed expertly, double checked, and prompt cleanup after. Recommendations for keeping my system working longer and efficiently were given, additional costs clearly spelled out, without any high pressure for an immediate decision. Nyle may be new to the Tucson area, but he certainly knows his way around heating and cooling units. Highly recommend D & H in general and Nyle specifically.

Nyle gave us a courtesy call ahead of the appointed time. He arrived on schedule and was very professional and personable in providing maintenance service. He carefully reviewed his findings and offered suggestions for our consideration in the future. We will certainly ask for Nyle when our spring check is due.

I have relied on Angies List for a lot of projects and have almost always been satisfied. This was not the case with D&H who I chose because of the 5 star rating and the hundreds of reviews. Lesson learned! RE: D&H - I paid $95 for a service call that pays for nothing but them showing up. That's ok if you get the truth. But I didn't and I didn't get the problem solved but instead was presented with a $3,000 repair estimate for things later proven unnecessary by a second, more informed technician from a different firm. Also recommended by their salesman who showed up the next week that the whole system be replaced with new equipment totaling $15k - $20k. Andy you can forget about the stated Angies List discount of 10% or $1,500 because of all the other, later to be disclosed, discounts that had already been rolled in. They need to change the way they present their bids. Anyway, no wholesale replacement of equipment was needed after further, more reliable investigation was completed. The second, separate technician, came in and solved my problem for $110. So I wasted $95 and found a good repair man and learned a "grain of salt" lesson about Angies List.

Very well. The Tech was extremely informative, and went through the maintenance check with me. We thought there was a big problem, but they sent another tech by and it turned out it was an overflow and not a leak.

Installation went well with no problems.

We have used them for quite a while. Excellent quality professionalism and punctuality. They had to repair something on the roof. They wore booties when they came inside and kept the area clean.

I would highly recommend them. They installed our furnace and our air conditioner, so we're on a contract with them.

They do good work; however, they were quick to offer a maintenance package to me and even sent me information about it. When I finally did get the package, they became less responsive to my calls.

Excellent from initial call to job completion. Pleasant office staff, repairman able to come a few hours after we called, completed job in workmanlike manner & answered our questions.

I have no complaints about them. They call me to set up the appointment. We agreed on the date. They came when they said they would. There were no problems at all. I would use again them in future because I do have a three year maintenance plan with them. They come out and take care of what they need to.

They have been servicing me since I've owned my house. They put the original unit in here. They've been coming and doing a good job for me so I just stuck with them. I have a service contract with them. They are always on time. I would definitely use them again.

My experience with them went fine. They were friendly and personable. They were on time. The only thing we were kind of disappointed with was after we got our unit installed, they came up with this lists of upgrades that they really recommended that we do, but they never made those recommendations at the time of the initial install. That frustrated us a little bit. In our particular instance, that was something that we wished went a little differently. They were polite and professional and took care of everything they needed to.

It was terrible. I would not recommend them to anybody. They were the ones that installed my evaporative cooler originally, six or seven years ago. So, when I needed service, they were the ones that I called. It was $100 to $125 every time they came out. I even called a couple of places -organizations for seniors that have lists of places to call when they need assistance and I told them, "Do not recommend them for evaporative cooling services because they don't have any idea what they're doing anymore." They have kept up with the trend of doing electronic air conditioning units. But, they don't know anything about the evaporative cooler, which really is still quite big. When I look outside of my bedroom window, besides my house, the house to the North of me, the house to the South and the house to the East, all still have evaporative coolers and I know there's a great many of us that do. It's funny because they were the ones that installed a brand new MasterCool which was top of the line of the evaporative coolers on my house, years ago. But I think the young technicians that they sent out didn't know what they were doing. The poor young man kept saying, "I have this degree and that in that schooling and that." But, he sat on my roof with my homeowners guide to the operation of the evaporative cooler and tried to figure out what was going on and he still really messed it up. I have water going all over the place. So, I would not recommend them. They acted as if everything was my fault.

Everything seems to be working fine. I bought the maintenance plan for them. I paid $300 and they will take care of it for about five years. I get a discount on parts because I bought the plan. They are pretty good. I had a problem with their receptionist. When they do charges it is kind of more than I have seen advertised in the paper. The responsiveness was good and they were on time. When they installed it it made a really bad noise and I said it was really noisy and asked if it was going to be like that all the time. So they called somebody and said I was complaining about it. He said to take it apart, but when we took it apart there was a little package with screws and bolts in it that was loose in the blower and that's what was making all the noise. I thought they should have noticed that when they installed it.

I have a small home, about 1200 square feet. My original heat pump was a Rheem 3.5 ton unit which lasted about 22 years. I suspected it was a bit oversized and stressed this to every estimator who came out. The estimator said the computer called for "a 27,500 unit, which a Carrier might be able to handle, but for anyone else you need a bigger unit." He described my needs as at least 4.0 ton. I suspect the 27,500 was indicating a 2.5 ton unit, which most manufacturers would suggest for a home of my size in my location. I have a swamp cooler, and prefer it to AC in the hot dry months. Despite my objections, he included its removal as part of his estimate by saying, "the numbers don't lie, you'll save money". The 3 systems he proposed ranged from $9,500-$11,500. All of the other estimates I obtained were for about $4200-$5700, and some were for Rheem 3 ton, 16 seer systems with variable speed ECM motors.

During the first heat wave of 2015, our 31-year old air conditioning system finally gave out. D&H came the next day and assessed the issues. I believe they werehonest in advising replacement over repair. They pointed out the leaks (3 in all), parts that would need to ordered, etc. They provided 2 quotes for replacement units, that while somewhat higher than I was expecting in comparison to some of their competitors, were still within reason. They provided us two temporary A/C units to use that night. The installation was very professional. They arrived early, removed the old units, and had the new units up and running by mid-afternoon. The 2-person team was conscientious about their work and every was installed cleanly. They even resealed an adjacent old evaporative cooler duct that had corroded and was leaky. However, our brand-new system could not keep up with the 110F temp over the weekend -- despite running nearly full time, the house went from 72 to 78 each day. To the credit of D&H, when I called on Monday, they had someone over within an hour to check on the system. He tested and believed the unit was underfilled with Puron at the factory plus the ~25ft line run from the external unit to the internal unit. Thus, my only issue is that they did not thoroughly check the amount of Puron in the installed unit on Friday. I have been happy with the unit since.

We have used D&H for over 15 years for HVAC maintenance. In addition, four years ago we purchased two Lenox HVAC systems from them for our home. The systems are efficient, quiet and very effective. Rene has been our service tech for over ten years and he is professional, knowledgeable and pro-active. He takes care of us very well and makes recommendations when appropriate. We plan to remain on their annual maintenance service for as long as we own this home.

Ron from D&H came the same day I called them (important when your AC isn't working in Tucson in summer), and quickly diagnosed the problem, had the parts and an easy fix for it, so my AC was up and running within an hour of his arrival. He also honored the coupon from Angie's List, which dropped the price a bit, and gave me some info about how the system was laid out, which was nice since I'd recently inherited the place and lacked some info. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

The tech was on time and friendly. Told me all of was done and very polite. I has used this com for 3 years.

Kelson arrived on time, was very courteous, performed his job in a timely fashion and finished with a check of thermostat settings. Very conscious of bringing dirt into house on his shoes.

Fine - the main units were okay. The thermostat needed to be replaced - scheduled 4/16.
