Response from Dalecke Carpentry Inc
We are a cabinet company, licensed, bonded and insured as finish carpentry. Only a licensed electrician can do electrical, licensed plumber can only do plumbing and so on. You project encompassed all of these trades and more, this is why I recommended a general contractor to over see your project. The general contractor that you met does not work for me, I just made a recommendation of someone I trust. Once you start to move walls, electrical and plumbing, like in your project, you need to get a building permit from the county. The county will not accept a "design" for permits, they require blueprints. Blueprints are why the contractor recommended you talk to a draftsman. I am sorry you didn't like the design I gave you, however, you asked the best use of your space, and that is what I showed you in the first design. The second design I gave you changed according to what you liked. We prefer to work with our clients to design a kitchen or bath. If this means 3, 4 or 5 different revisions to their design, that is what we do.
