CLEAR VUE POOL & SPA SERVICE

Had blue-green algae, had asked about getting pool replastered as I had read that would be the best way to remove the algae permanently. Was recommended by the owner of Clear Vue that I get the pool repainted instead with the understanding that it would resolve the algae issue, so I paid for the pool to be painted with the understanding that it would (in combination with a powerwash and cleaning) prevent the return of the black (blue-green) algae. The pool was drained into the alley instead of the sewer while I was at work, causing flooding in the neighbor's backyard (and an irate phone call from the neighbor). The pool was then powerwashed and cleaned, and the tile was scrubbed. Finally, the pool was coated with a pool paint by a team of several young guys. The paint looked good for a week or two and at first I was very pleased with the job. Shortly thereafter, I found bits of it showing up in the skimmer. After a while, I found that it was flaking off, and within a month, large portions had chipped away and the algae began to return. The end result was that I had a now-peeling painted pool, still with the blue-green algae. I called the owner to complain and request it be fixed, and was instead offered a discount on having it re-painted but refused to fix the job. He refused to repair the issues, claiming that it could have been due to the rain, or that I may have been in some way responsible for the damage to the pool. I would absolutely not return to this company for any services.

I prepaid for some hard-to-find filter baskets. I was told that the filters would arrive in a week. When no call came from the biz, I called them and left message. No call back. Called again the next day.Left message. no call back. Went to the store. closed even tho' the sign said "open" . Called the next day...no response. Then someone called me and told me that the filters were in. Went to the store. Huh? Who called you, said the owner. I went home and waited the prescribed week and again, no contact initiated by the biz, so I began my calling campaign again.This went on for 3 months. I finally caught a human minding the store and the man-owner (his wife is just as evasive and flakey) gave myriad excuses. I told them that they had miserable customer service and I wanted my money back. Money returned by snitty owner.

He is very polite and easy to talk to. I am a senior citizen and felt comfortable around him and not at all overcharged. I took care of this pool for 30 years so I knew what was going on. I am disabled due to several pain and heart problems. I had fired my previous pool company and my grandson and I were keeping it up. Half way through the Monsoon, I gave out and in a matter of a couple of days you couldn't see the bottom due to the algae. I have used pool companies for ten years and they actually scold me for not keeping on top of it. Jon never even suggested anything like that, even understanding why I waited till Fall to have someone come out and start it up again.
