It should be 0! Employees make false promises and upper management won’t return calls! I will never do business with this company again. I visited the Broadway several times as I was redoing my kitchen. I spoke to 2 different salespeople about the appliances I was purchasing. When I finally made a decision I purchased a downdraft fan I was assured I had 30 days to return it if needed. I ordered the fan. When it arrived I was told to go to the Fort Lowell location to pick it up. When I picked it up the employee there also assured me I had 30 days to return it. On all occasions I had another person with me that heard me get reassured I could return it. When I got the fan home I found out it would not work with my appliances. (The appliances the sales person knew I was looking at!) I called to see where I needed to return it only to be told they do net accept returns. I asked to speak to the manager. I spoke to Brett the store manager and explained the situation he said to just don’t accept returns on ordered items. I asked to speak to his manager. Brett called me back and told me the district manager would not be calling me back and they would not be accepting the return! I now have. $1,300.00 item I can not use. Do not believe what the employees tell you!!!!!

Christie's appliance came in last November, that's eleven months ago, to replace the ice cube maker in our refrigerator, which we bought from them. The repairman didn't tighten the fresh water valve at the source on the wall behind the unit when he visited. Two months later we noticed the bases of our built in cabinetry swelling and after pulling the refrigerator from the wall saw that the source of the leak was a loose fitting. We were not aware of the leak because the water ran away to the back of the unit and was not visible in our kitchen. The repairmen returned and noted responsibility for the leak IN WRITING. However, his company, Christie's refused to take responsibility for the mold abatement and rebuilding of the cabinetry. They continued to push back, blaming the plumbing in our home and a host of other excuses. They claimed that the unit did not need to be removed from the wall for the installation and therefore it was impossible that the loose fitting was their responsibility. The repairman had lied to management about the install and I suggested they fire the employee and/or bring him and management out to our home to verify our case. Our homeowners insurance covered much of the several thousand dollar abatement and repair work. But the insurance company should not have to accept the liability and cost for Christie's poor work and mismanagement. For many months Christie's refused to send the information regarding the claim to their insurance carrier so that the issue could be resolved between the two parties. The dispute is now in the hands of a subrogation network but settlement is months away. So we are still waiting for the subrogation to conclude and hopefully our insurance company and my wife and I can be reimbursed. A very frustrating experience for us and an unethical and irresponsible pattern for a business that prides itself on serving the public. WE HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD AN APOLOGY FOR THEIR BEHAVIOR AND IRRESPONSIBILITY!

The new refrigerator was delivered with a dent. The delivery person tried to strong arm me to accept this and that this happens all the time. I would then receive a replacement part for the damaged part. I did not accept the delivery. I went to the store where I purchased this, talked to the same sales person. Even though he admits that he was surprised they would not deliver another refrigerator but rather give me back my money. We wrote them a check. They would not write us a check because they were unsure if our check cleared their bank. I checked with our bank and the check had cleared. They told me I would have to wait for this check in the mail. I tried to do the right thing by buying local and supporting local. A big mistake. I didn't buy a scratch and dent appliance.

Great service. I thought I would lose all the food in my refrigerator. They were able to get me a same-day service call. Repairman was prompt and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the needed part on his van, so I was up and running right away.

I bought a new dishwasher on Nov 7, 2015 after washing dishes by hand for about 2 years since my previous dishwasher also bought at Christie's in 2003 had broken down. The new dishwasher was installed the next week. I returned two days later to the store because I had a full dishwasher of dirty dishes. I tried three different types of washing cycles with no success. I wanted my money back and the dishwasher removed from my home. Two days later two of Christie's personnel showed up in my home to verify the dishwasher did not work. However, they did not remove it. Christie's replaced the dishwasher. However, I had a broken dirty dishwasher in my home until they replaced it. More importantly, it was irrelevant to Christie's my appointments I had made on the day they wished to deliver the new dishwasher - appointments that were made weeks before I bought the dishwasher. Once the delivery person showed up at my house, his attitude was that he was doing me a favor by showing up early. When asked to stay to prove the dishwasher completes a washing cycle, he replied that is not his job. I explained to him the situation that had brought us to this day, his reply was the equivalent of the joke "above my pay grade". Yes...I have a new dishwasher that works...Yes...I bought an extended warranty from Christie's that I hope will cover any future surprises as I do not have any confidence on the quality of the dishwasher. Sadly it is the highest rated dishwasher available. Sadly I feel I was treated no better than I would have been in the big box stores.

My washing machine broke and I called Christie's to see if they could repair it. The call-taker was rude and not helpful. She told me that I would receive a call between 7:30 and 9:30 in the morning on the day of the repair to advise me of the time the repairman would arrive. I explained that this was an inconvenient time since I would not have access to my phone then. I also asked for an afternoon appointment. The call taker said it was not possible to change their practice and that an afternoon appointment could not be guaranteed. No effort whatsoever was made to accommodate me. It was a "take it or leave it" deal. She further advised me that they had "done it this way for 30 years" and were not going to change. The implication was that I was being unreasonable. I chose to decline their service and called ATS. They were perfectly accommodating, helpful, and they completed the repairs in a highly satisfactory fashion. I will never patronize Christie's again.

We apologize for the poor experience you had with our service department scheduler and have spoken with the individual to provide better customer service to our customers. The scheduler should have simply made a note to the technician to call you with your time frame when you would be available as that is a standard procedure. We do try our best to accommodate our customer's schedules, however, in some instances we are unable to do so. We schedule our service calls by zip code and depending how many calls our technician is scheduled for that day, in what area, and if there are any unforeseen job issues, we are unable to pinpoint a guaranteed time frame. We do offer our customers a courtesy phone call should customers need 30 minutes to 1 hour lead way to meet the technician at the home, which is also a standard procedure. We appreciate your feedback and sincerely apologize for your poor experience with Christie's.

The installers came punctually and did the work effectively. The only issue was a scratched tile. They said the company would fix it at not cost. It took several days before they put me in contact with a person from the tile company they work with. I set an appointment but the tile people cancelled on me. They put me in contact with a different company. They have not been able to come to my house and fix the tile. Christie's seems not to care. They have not done any follow up to make sure they honor their word.

We purchased a gas range. Sales person was extremely knowledgeable and didn't try to steer our purchase. Price was better then Big Box store and they installed it 2 days after we purchased. Their techs came to the house right on time and hook up was included in the delivery charge as was the line to connect to our gas valve. Techs were very informative, explained that we needed to turn on the oven for 30 minutes to burn out the oil inside. Also tips on the burners and how to register appliance. Very personable folks. The whole experience was FIRST CLASS and we will never appliance shop anywhere else. Washer and Dryer next! :) A++++

They were professional and helpful. They gave us information regarding the rebates from the manufacturer and made available the paperwork so we could apply for them. Description of Work: On a Monday I called to schedule an appointment to have my ice machine worked on, but they had no appointments available until Friday! When I said that I had to have an afternoon appointment they said repeatedly that the tech would call in the morning to TELL me when he's coming. I again indicated I would not be available in the morning, they insisted the tech would leave a message re: when he's coming.. This was unacceptable as I was only available in the p.m. Nonetheless, they insisted on doing it their way. Apparently, their techs run the place. also, someone was on vacation, someone retired, etc. This was all unacceptable, so I scheduled with someone else. Of course they have plenty of people to SELL the appliances, just not enough to service them.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we do our best to accommodate our customer’s schedules. However, we simply can’t schedule a specific time because we don’t know if our technician will come across any problems on the job, what zip code areas they will be scheduled that day, and whether or not a customer in a different zip code requests the same time frame. Our service technicians call the morning of service to give the customer a two-hour time frame as to when they will be there. That way, the customer does not have to wait around all day for a technician. We do our best to route the calls according to requests, yet it is a request and not a guarantee. It went great. He was very friendly, professional and troubleshooted all of my problems very quickly. I had no problem with him having to leave for a bit because he told me up front he might have to and he was so accommodating about helping with the two additional issues I presented him, I couldn't have asked for better service. We had never needed appliance servicing and I was dreading finding a company, but I'm extremely pleased with Christie's and will absolutely use them again!
Description of Work: I called to schedule a service call on Monday morning for my refrigerator that had gone out over the weekend and Christie's was able to have a service man to my house within two hours. He immediately diagnosed the problem, which was that the condenser fan had quit. He didn't have the part, which he told me up front he may have to run out for, but he was back within 30 minutes. We were also have a seal issue that had to do with the door being a little "off" and he repaired that without an additional charge (our fridge finally has a tight seal again!). In addition, we had another fridge in the garage that we hadn't been using, but had plugged in when our house fridge went out...unfortunately that didn't seem to work either and although Christie's quoted us $15 to troubleshoot another appliance (which I already think is totally reasonable), he took a quick look and told us it was the compressor, would cost $750 to fix and not worth fixing because it was an old fridge.

Same repairman we have had before. Professional and punctual. Noise stopped before he arrived! He thouroughly checked. We have a 30 day for him to return at no additional cost if noise returns. Have bought many appliances from Christies on Ina Rd.

Would always like a lower price, but the prices were certainly fair and competitive with any other businesses selling similar products in Tucson. Will do business with them again in the future.

I called at 8:28 this morning...automated answering system said they open at 8:30 - call back during normal business hours.I called back at 8:31...said my frig had completely stopped working....purchased from them approximately 71/2 years ago...they could NOT get a technician out for 3 days! (should they schedule?) I have purchased nearly all my appliances from this locally owned and operated company...I realize it is not their fault about the Whirlpool frig....but 3 days ? No, I did not schedule and will certainly think big box stores for my next appliance purchase...Hopefully, the company coming tomorrow will be able to fix the frig.

I actually used Christie's Appliance Repair twice in the matter of one month, the first time for my oven and the second for my clothes dryer. Frank was the repair man both times, and he is excellent. Scheduling was really easy. Frank was right on time for both appointments and diagnosed and fixed both problems quickly and accurately. The charges were very fair and Frank was very clear aboutt he costs up front and what they covered. This was my first real experience with major appliance repair, and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely use them for any future needs.
Description of Work: I had the heating element repaired in my dryer and the thermostat repaired in my oven.

Called Christie's because of positive reviews and because I had purchased washer from them. Washer had leaked, flooding laundry area. Tech ran washer through several cycles, but no leak occurred. He explained that the mounting stem boot seal most likely needed replacement, but the repair would cost about $280, and without actually seeing the problem, he would not guarantee his work. He also explained that this type of issue can be intermittent. This meant that I would need to watch the washer every time I used it in case it leaked again. Then, if it did leak again, I would need to clean up the mess and then call him back to make the repair. It made more sense to me to just replace the seal now rather than waiting for it to leak again. To do that, the cost would only be a little over $200 as I had already paid them $65 just for the analysis. The tech was very reluctant to do the repair. He said he would not guarantee his work and continued to argue with me about the cost, etc., claiming that if it leaked again after the repair that I would "hate" him. I finally tired of arguing, so called the service manager at Christie's, who also argued with me, defending his technician's position on the matter. I finally tired of arguing with the service manager and decided to try another repair service, even though I would not be able to deduct the $65 charge I had already paid Christie's from the $280 I would have to pay another service. Dealing with another repair service would mean extra cost and a delay, but I chose that route rather than trust a company with such a disrespectful and unprofessional attitude that refused to guarantee its work.

Our Technician did test the washer through several cycles and no leak occurred. He also removed the front panel and saw no sign of a water leak inside the 13 year-old washer. He told the customer the leak MAY have been caused by the mounting stem boot seal but did not feel comfortable replacing it at a cost of approximately $280 and possibly not solving the problem of the leak. We DO guarantee our work. Both our Technician and Service Manager tried to explain that the boot seal might not be the cause of the leak. Since we could not determine that the leak was caused by a leaking boot seal, so we could not guarantee replacing it would solve the problem. Had we replaced the boot seal, we would have warrantied our parts and labor for the seal. We believed it would be best to determine the cause of the leak before we made any unnecessary repairs, especially at a cost of approximately $280 on a 13 year-old washing machine. After researching 6 appliance sales businesses, comparing product selection, availability, pricing and installation services we selected Christie's. We purchased a dishwasher, electric range and microwave/hood. When in the show room, Johnathan quickly understood my appliance needs, showed me the items in the show room, clearly identified sales prices and options per appliance. He did not attempt to "upsell" me at all. He sent me home with written product specifications and price quotes, which allowed me to price check them. They came in with the best pricing. Additionally, he provided full disclosure re: what was/was not covered in terms of delivery, installation and removal of our old appliances. There were NO surprises or add ons needed. We purchased the appliances on a Thursday evening and installation was completed the following day before noon. Our installer, Pepe G, was meticulous in wiring and installing the appliances, assuring they were level/anchored/etc. He was very respectful/careful with our home in navigating the appliances through doorways and around corners. We were highly impressed with his precision and efficiency.

I purchased an Amana french door refrigerator from christy's 4 years ago. Last week I noticed a loud noise coming from the frig whenever the fan came on. Called Christy's Saturday and they put me on the schedule for Monday. Told me a service repairperson would call me between 7:30 and 8:00 - call came in about 8:00. Repairman said he'd be here between 9:30 and 11:30 - he showed at 10:00. He came in and listened as I explained the noise. He checked a number of things and finally figured out the cause. He was very professional, listened carefully as I explained the problem and also checked a few other things just to make sure everything was running smoothly. The frig was still under a service agreement so there was no charge. Will continue to Christy's for any appliance issue in the future. Wonderful company to do business with.
