Description of Work: We had our pump / motor pulled and replaced and also half of the well pipe. Prior to this work our well had caused us many headaches. Don the owner was a great communicater and throughly explained why we had problems. His crew that performed the work knew their stuff and were friendly and fast. Several days later we called Don with well performance concerns and he was able to address our questions with personal attention to our satisfaction. We would recommend Catalina highly.

 + -1 moreHumming along, turns on and off, good pressure, pump not working as hard it seemed. I had paid my old pump company this same amount at the beginning of 2014 without much satisfaction on how it was running and numerous mistakes.
Description of Work: This company was recommended by an employee of my last pump company. Renewed entire system except tank and lines to tank and house. They checked the system and had very logical theories of why my pump was pumping nonstop resulting in 2 $440 electrical bills. They were meticulous and knowlegable. Pulled pipes, checked pump, motor and pipes. With his education,, we decided to go with PVC for the most worn pipes. System worked so well that the water logged tank finally raised it's ugly head which perplexed me for several months. They fixef this recurrent problem as well. Worked beautifully until my heat worn pump finally gave out soon after. They came out and pulled pump-yep, it was clearly different from when I witnessed 6 days earlier. Only charged me for cost of pump, motor, pump saver and incidentals. No labor charge. That is the ethics that all of us should abide by. My old well company used to be like this but have lost their vision so I switched. All the time, I gained a wealth of education about the well I've had for 17 years!

 + -1 moreTalked to Don on thurs to get estimate on fixing our water storage tank ... He advised that he could come next week, That's fine with us . ...Spoke again Monday morning an he said he would be there around noon. We called him after noon had passed to confirm he was still coming and he said one of his trucks broke and he would not be coming after all , ok that's understandable ....so he told us he would come the next day tues morning between 830-900am. So tues morning he never showed and we called him again after 9am and he said he was an hour away, "thanks for letting us know !" He then asked why he was coming to our house again because he didn't even remember...we told him again were getting estimates for repair to our water storage.... He then said "I will bow out because that's too far to drive to give you a bid" thanks for wasting our time Don!
Description of Work: We wanted him to come out and give us an estimate to repair the shut off on our water storage tank

 + -1 moreI have been using Don for 7 years to do repairs on my well. He is courteous, prompt, always explains the mechanisms and diagnoses problems. The best part is that he ALWAYS responds. I have called him on weekends and holidays with a problem and if I don't have water, he comes very quickly. Every time I call him, I am always surprised by his promptness. He is sometimes at my well before I walk down there. He has also walked me througha problems via the phone so I can take care of it myself. He has actually taught me more about my well and pump than I ever knew.
Description of Work: Changed pressure switch, check valve and installed new pump without cracking any of my PVC piping.

 + -1 moreWe have used Catalina's services several times over the past 4 or so years concerning a shared well and found Don and his assistant responsive, professional and reasonably priced. The work performed was timely and well done. Recently we drilled our own well and again called him. He was helpful to assist with decisions, prompt to deliver services and pleasant to work with. Don has extensive background in this field and his expertise is evident. We would not hesitate to recommend him to others and in fact have done so very recently when a neighbor had issues with an existing well and asked us who we would suggest they call.
Description of Work: Over the years service on a pump; installation of flow meters; and now a new well system.
