Carson's Power Vac

They were scheduled to come between 8:15 and 8:45 in the morning, and we were told that they would call first. Showed up at 8:15 and when I asked if they had called, I was told "Nah, it's the first job of the morning, usually don't call." A little inconvenient, but fine. Asked him for 10 minutes to finish getting ready then. I noticed they weren't wearing masks, so I also asked if they had any masks they could wear. His response: "Well, we got our shots, did you get yours?" I told him that we were vaccinated, but I would still prefer it if they wore masks to enter our home. I was told "Yeah, we got them but you're the first in a long f***ing time to ask. We'll get them, but we hate wearing them." I told him that I was just asking him to be respectful. Came back 5 minutes later to say that they were no longer going to perform the service. When asked why, he said "Because we don't have to wear masks." Instead of having a conversation with me about why I'm requesting that they wear masks (both my parents have Stage IV cancer, and beyond that I'm not comfortable still having unmasked strangers in my home, especially if they're working on air circulation units), he became aggressive, cursed me out, and basically stormed off. You'd think that I asked him to promise me his first-born son. Called the company to discuss it with them, and was told that he was the owner. Christine, who deals with scheduling, was very courteous and professional, though still couldn't understand why we asked them to wear masks. A shame because they seem to have good reviews for their work, but customer service is absolutely atrocious. If you're looking for respectful professionals, then avoid this company at all costs.

Our dryer vent was not working properly. The airflow was very low. We hired another company to clean it, but by the time they were done, there was no airflow at all. Meg and I thought there was something wrong with our dryer vent pipe and we were envisioning having to tear out sheet rock, etc. to find and repair the problem. We went to an Arizona Cardinals football game last Sunday and I just happened to sit next to a plumber visiting from Canada! We talked and he told me I should hire another company to try to clean out the vent again. So, I went on Angie's List and found Carson's Power Vac. They came the next day and found and cleared a blockage. We are so happy. The price was very reasonable and their service was excellent. Thank you, Carson's.

Called the number listed. Voice message stated "no one in office, leave message". Leaving a message was impossible - "mailbox is full, goodbye". Won't be calling this company again.

The crew arrive early and were polite. I arrived about the same time to watch them lower a gas powered vacuum into my front yard. The whole area then reeked of gasoline and it wasn't even turned on. Then I smelled the hoses they were going to be dragging through my new house -- the ones Chris' crew said were the "clean ones" and they reeked of gasoline. I am sensitive to smells, but I am sure my neighbors would have been complaining after they powered that noxious gas vacuum up. The whole point is cleanliness - not adding to the problem. Chris charged me $90 - half of their total quote for a "service call".

When our clothes dryer started running really hot we checked the owner's manual and learned that the most likely culprit was a clogged vent. So I climbed upon the roof; finding a fair amount of lint accumulated there and an unimpressive air flow, I figured it was time to call in a professional. (Since we've only owned the house for a year, we have no idea when the last time the dryer vent had been cleaned--if ever.) After checking Angie's List I called Carson's Power Vac; they said they could come out the very next day, and gave me a one-hour window. Not only were they on time, they arrived early--all three of them! They unlimbered their equipment, climbed up on the roof, and in less than 30 minutes later the job was done. They also evaluated the vent cap, said it was fine, and re-secured it (I had had to remove one attachment in order to stick my hand inside to remove lint). The team reported that airflow from the dryer vent had increased from the initial 29% to an impressive 92% after cleaning. What a pleasant experience watching efficient professionals and all around nice guys at work. I can recommend them wholeheartedly for duct cleaning.

The crew of three, including the owner, showed up promptly at 0900, as promised. We booked the appointment about 2 weeks ahead of time. The crew got right to work, removed all the registers, cleaned them thoroughly to a like new finish. The system was pressure tested to make sure we had no leaks in the ducts, and there were none. They cleaned the central return, each of the vents in turn, went up on the roof and cleaned the condenser and blower box. Completely cleaned the dryer vent, replaced the cap on the outlet on the roof. Cleaned up after they were done. Very nice, communicative, professional, did a fabulous job. I will use them again!!

Tyler and Steve arrived as scheduled. They were friendly, polite and professional. Tyler explained all they were doing and whatever was discovered as the cleaning progressed. My questions were answered willingly and understandably. I highly recommend Carson's Power Vac if you want an excellent and trustworthy job done.

The providers arrived as scheduled and completed all requested work. They provided tarps which kept the house clean & educated us regarding the process. Additional they were flexible when we had to reschedule due to the delay of our tile installation. We highly recommend them & will use them again

I called them based on good reviews this list and I am so glad I did! What we discovered is that the vent was completely blocked from roof to dryer. Chris and his team went above and beyond to ensure that it was thoroughly cleaned and made safe. They are professional, polite, on time and know their business through and through. I have already told my neighbors about them. When we move to our next home, they are the first people I will call to make sure the dryer vent is good to go.
