+ -1 moreThe men who showed up stated they could not fix the spring due to the bottom of the door being slightly bent. They said it was a safety issue and even if a waiver of liability was signed, their company would not allow them to repair it. The bottom panel needed to be replaced at the least, or else they could install a new door. We got an estimate from them and then contacted other companies who came out and were surprised we were told we needed a new door. Our spring was fixed and the bottom support was fixed at a reasonable cost with no hassle. I am highly disappointed that they came, collected their show up fee, and did nothing to help us. I would never hire them again.

+ -1 moreLong story short, they came out EARLY, replaced a small metal plate, checked bolts and everything else and NO CHARGE. Incredible! Said "we were in the area anyway". Referring them to all our neighbors and friends, these guys know what service means! And they are nice people, too. Have heard stories from neighbors about Tucson garage door company scammers who try to 'find' issues to fix, so glad we found a reputable, competent company.
Description of Work: Used them in August for home warranty work on garage opener. So competent, helpful, friendly and prompt, kept their card if we ever needed them again. January, the door came off the track, NOT covered by warranty, husband was able to get it back in but there were some issues with bolts. Called them to set up an appointment.

Description of Work: I helped my parents with this company through their Homebuyers Warranty. Cactus basically left them and myself hanging. A part had supposedly been ordered, but Cactus didn't reply to my messages asking if the part had come in or if there was a problem. I contacted Homebuyers Warranty, at that point, and their representatives had trouble getting responses, as well. Homebuyers told us that they were told the part had arrived. We even had an appointment set for this part to be installed (this would have been the second appointment, but Cactus never showed or answered my call.) Homebuyers Warranty was so sure that this contractor would finish the project, that we had to wait several months with garage door problems before Homebuyers finally granted us a different contractor. The new garage door company fixed the problem very promptly. We did complain to the BBB, but only requested an apology, no monetary amount. Cactus never responded to this, and after several months, the BBB dropped the case. Apparently, if no monetary amount is requested, the BBB just drops the case, so it doesn't figure into the BBB rating... Regardless, I personally wouldn't use Cactus due to the unprofessionalism and inconvenience.

They were out 1 1/2 hours after my call and completed the job in 15 minutes. They had twelve calls that day, so they must be doing something right. I will use again.

+ -1 moreOk, when the man called to set up a time he said they were in the area and could come by that afternoon -No, next day and I had an appointment so again - No. I told him that Friday of the week would be best and we set a time. Then he and a young man showed up on Thursday a day ahead. Not sure if it was the week of December 1st or not. Besides doing the above he told me that the rollers were original and should be replaced. While the young man was spraying all of the tracks he put a sticky backed card on the garage wall next to the garage house entrance door and he politely told me he put it there so I would know who to call. They weren't bad, bad but there was just something that I didn't feel comfortable with them to call in the future,
Description of Work: Opened and shut the garage door, listened and watched. Sprayed the tracks with what the older man said was a special Silicone spray which they sell.

I did reach out to Angie's List about contacting them for assitance in scheduling. They still have not reached out to me. Now, I do not wish to have the work done by this service provider for not keeping the scheduled appointment date

+ -1 moreUnlike another company that paid a visit when we had an earlier problem, they did not try to sell me a new garage door opener, or recommend they perform additional maintenance. Instead, they pulled out ladders and closely inspected the existing system, and pronounced it in good shape despite its age. They were right on time. They were polite. And they were efficient. I will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: The switches and remotes were not triggering the door. It turned out to be a loose wire. They reset the wire, and then oiled all the hinges and door panels, so the door opens and closes much more quietly.

+ -1 moreThey were originally scheduled for Monday AM, but were not able to make it, so we rescheduled for Tuesday afternoon. He was right on time, and completed the adjustments in about 15 minutes. He knew exactly what to do after he saw how the door was responding to the remote. They serviced my door last year, and they were great - that is why I called them again. Micky did a great job.

+ -1 moreMickey arrived on time and began working. He was very curtius and explained how this new bottom retainer would help keep out Lizzards, and other small animals. Mickey even placed a piece of steel at one end where we had a gap allowing small animals to enter our garage. No other garage repair person offered any type of solution to seal the gap where animals came in. I am very Thankful for the solution Mickey came up with. Thank You!

+ -1 moreThey damaged my garage door. In the process of checking the stopping mechanism on my garage door, the technician somehow erased the reversing mechanism. It was an improper way to check the reverse mechanism and that bent the top panel of my door. He never refused to acknowledge that he did it because I was sitting there and watching him do it. He repaired it under a home warranty call so I didn’t have to pay him anything. When after he did the damage, he denied doing it and said that it was pre-existing. We had a discussion on that and then he left without doing anything. I sent him two certified letters asking him to accept responsibility. He hasn’t even picked them up. It has been two weeks now, so I expect it back either today or tomorrow, unsigned. I have also attempted to contact him through my home warranty company and they did contact him but he denied any responsibility. I am planning to file a complaint against the home warranty company as well for picking somebody as incompetent as that. I would never use him again in the future.
