Not only was the actual installation very competent, but he also feels strongly that the customer deserves to know in advance the total price whenever possible. I learned later that he had to purchase some additional parts, for which I was not charged. And his service call was much more reasonable than other companies I've used.
Description of Work: Our air conditioner stopped working in the hottest part of the summer, when the temperature was above 100° every day. Mike came out to check it within a few hours, and determine that the condenser had failed, even though it was only seven years old. He advised us to contact the original installer when the house was new. Their price was quite high. When I complained that 100% part warrantee wasn't adequate when the labor costs was going to be over $1000. I checked with Mike. He said he could get the the warranted part, and quoted $800. He showed up promptly the next day, and worked diligently for six hours, removing and saving the R. 22 refrigerant as required by law, installing the new condenser, and filling it with refrigerant. At each step he explained to me what was happening, and completed the job almost to the minute of the time he had promised, so that our baby would not return to an 88° temperature. Since then, the system has worked flawlessly. Just as with my previous experience with Mike, the price was exactly as quoted. He was very punctual and neat, and helpfully explains issues for me to be aware of in monitoring and maintaining our system. A first-class company!

The fellow who came out was extremely personable and very friendly. He assessed my house and what I needed and gave me a couple of different quotes with different specifications. I accepted a quote and he brought in a sub contractor to do the duct work. They designed it which was custom work because of the shape of the house. I gave him half of the money and the duct work was done, then he arrived with a crane and the unit the next day. He completed all of the work in a day and a half.
Description of Work: I had a whole new A/C unit installed, as we never had it before. I purchased the unit and they installed it on the roof of my house, which involved a lot of duct work.

We have used this company on many occasions. Mr. French is the one that we do all of our business with. He is punctual, reliable, honest, and always cleans up after himself. He respects our home, and always gives an estimate that he honors. There was a change once, but he notified me before doing the work. It was reasonable, so we proceeded. He even warns about unnecessary work. Last winter, our furnace gave out. We called him, he came out THAT DAY, and the very next morning, he installed a brand new furnace. He also winterizes our swamp cooler and one time when our pump burnt out, he replaced it within a few hours of my call even though he was busy. He also installed a digital thermostat and took the time to explain how to program it. This guy is an excellent businessman and a competent HVAC technician. Would and have recommended him to friends. Brooke's cooling is an awesome company with an outstanding technician.
Description of Work: Several issues to report, all good experiences. The most expensive one was the furnace (price above), but for the most part, I have never paid over 100.00 for any service. Mr. French services our swamp cooler twice a year to include emergency repairs. He also replaced our furnace with no delay. He has no problem returning if there is a problem; it only happened once, and it was nothing I couldn't have dealt with myself had I a twelve foot ladder. The cooler was dripping over the roof, and I called him. He responded in less than a half an hour and the fix took about twp minutes, no charge.
