There was a leak from my roof into my living room near the chimney. We called to have Better Way come out to do an estimate. Kent and Nacho came out on time when they said they would. After checking the roof, they left. My wife took the trash out and noticed our hinged downspout was flattened on the end outside the side of our house. This is where Kent and Nacho were parked during the estimate visit and where they put their ladder to get on the roof. She texted the photo and I contacted Amanda at Better Way and explained the situation. I asked if they would fix this 10' foot downspout. She explained Kent was a nice person and would fix it if he did it. She requested a photo and I sent it via text to her. Later, she contacted Kent and texted to me that he noticed it when he arrived and sent her a picture of the damage which he confidently denied doing it. This is the photo with the downspout next to the planter barrier and the shadow. Amanda notified me to contact Kent for further questions. I spoke with Kent on the phone and asked what he noticed and why he took a picture. He explained he thought it was strange how it looked and thought to take a picture to discuss it with others later. When asked why he thought it was strange, he thought we were watering the prickly pear cactus next to it. I told him that was not the purpose as it helps keep water out from the house and away from the foundation. I have one in the back of my house for the same reason. Not sure why we would water the prickly pear, and if so, push the water so far away from it outside the planter. I asked why he didn't notify my wife of the damage, he hesitated and then said they notice things and talk about it later. But then I asked where he was parked and he said the driveway. I told him my wife said he was parked on the side of the house and that is where they climbed up to the roof. Kent got defensive and raised his voice to talk over me. I explained if he did not do it then he could have told us and it was fine. He said my wife was incorrect and that he parked in the driveway. I asked him if he was near the gutter and he kept repeating he was not near it. My wife witnessed where they parked and the tire tracks are there next to and on the flattened part of the downspout. He refused to fix it and called my wife a liar. We had no one else at the house for some time and there are no tracks in front of the house only on the side. I submitted a photo of the track and downspout. Kent then changed his story about the pic and said he took it because of people like me who accuse him of things like this. He said he did it to cover himself. It seems dishonest to take a picture of something he was not there for and not say anything about the damage. Then he changed the reason for taking a picture twice in a phone call asking about it. I called them out to give them my business and they damage my property. Then they accuse me of damaging it and trying to get them to fix it. While this is a part I had to order , it is not worth lying about it and going out of my way to get someone to pay for it. Is this how an honest business works? Have they done this before and this is how they get out of it? Are all customers in the wrong when Better Way damages something? They changed their story about the pic twice and their first explanation is not plausible. Is this the kind of business the customers deserve in Tucson?

I recommend them; it is unlikely you will get better overall value from their other competitors in Tucson, especially right now since building trades are scare and in great demand with hurricane reconstruction in rest of USA. The office manager DAN NOYCE and some of his employees such as Steven Thorpe, John Payne and Mickey are genuinely committed to customer satisfaction and willing to go above and beyond the normal call of duty to please the customer. Unfortunately this is not across the board for all their employees and subcontractors. BWS prides itself with outstanding customer satisfaction. Their charges are above average but not unreasonably high; you get what you pay for. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: I hired them for mold remediation resulting from a leaking pipe and subsequent reconstruction.

They were good. Our house was hit by lightening and there was fire so we had all kinds of things done to our house and they were good but my only complaint was that so many times, we had to wait for things. The work was good and they were responsive to our calls. They worked from July to November, it was all through insurance, and it was $45000 worth of damage. Generally, they did very well. I really don't know how much this type of work costs. They were punctual in the beginning but later on, it was a problem because punctuality with each sub contractor wasn't good so we had to wait. I don't know whose fault all that was. At times, they were very good.
Description of Work: We used Better Way Svc Inc to repair fire damage. They subcontracted a lot of work, like plumbing, electric, roofing, painting and just about everything.

They were superb. Easy to work with and 1st quality performance all the way around. Their rep, Eric Myers, was totally on top of the details and helped reduce the difficulties inherent in a very trying situation. Great company, highly recommend them.

omI called my insurance company at 10 pm to notify them of the roof damage. They told me someone would contact me within two days. Better Ways called me the next morning. They made arrangements to do a temporary roof fix, cut out a few area's of drywall and install a dryer and dehumidifier that day. The permanent roof repair was done the following day. The drywall was repaired and painting complete within a week. My house was kept very clean and every person I spoke to was pleasant and professional. Dan the contractor that made a few visits to my house was very pleasant and accommodating. He made it clear that his company made customer service a priority. The final result was perfect. No sign that work was ever done.
Description of Work: I had roof damage from the monsoon. The water leaked into the roof and wall. They repaired the roof, dried out the interior moisture and repaired drywall then painted ceiling and wall.

Description of Work: We called them to get an estimate to repair water damage to our master bathroom. They came out promptly to do the estimate and we felt the staff member was knowledgeabe, but the estimate took two weeks to arrive after being promised within two days. When compared with the estimate of the second company it was not as thorough. The second company took the additional time and effort to check in with our insurance company to insure that the money allocated for the reconstrution of our bathroom wall and cabinets was adequate for the job. We chose the other company.

I had used them before and thought they were very professional. Their pricing was on the expensive end and I probably will not use them for this job but I might use them for future projects.

They were excellent. They were just prompt, professional and followed up. They did everything that they said they would do. They communicated well and they called me at every step of the process. It was done in a timely manner. They protected the floor and put plastic down.
Description of Work: We used Better Way SVC Inc within the last two weeks. They repaired the drywall, painted the room, contracted the carpeting job to someone else and also did a little work on my bathroom tile.
They did a good job of organizing the renovation. I live in San Francisco and they were doing the work in Tucson. I looked at the final work and it looked like they did a good job.
Description of Work: I used Better Way Service to demo and rebuild 4 apartments that I have that were water damaged.

Better Way definitely has its act together. They were pleasant, attentive to detail, organized and all their people came on time and did a good job. We appreciated the containment they set up around the wall and ceiling to keep dust and debris out of the rest of the house. Their drywall/painting person was especially good at matching the existing texture and doing a blemish-free job. It helped that their work was being covered by insurance and they worked well with the insurer to arrange payment.
Description of Work: We had water damage from roof leaks that required replacement of drywall in a wall and one ceiling, replastering and painting. Better Way opened up the wall and ceiling, checked for evidence of mold and cleared out the small amount they found, then patched the drywall and did the finishing.
