Evap cooler had died with a poof of horrible burnt smell. Called in request on Friday at 4:30. Monday at 8:15 company called. At 10:00 technician (Matthew) arrived, evaluated situation, took pictures so I could see problem, recommended an electrician to repair faulty wiring, and ordered new motor. Tues. electrician made repairs. Wed afternoon Matthew appeared with new motor, installed it, tested extensively, oiled bearings. Cooler has been working well since. Matthew was polite, professional, explained situation, including wiring problem carefully and patiently. It was, overall, a stress-less and reassuring visit.

This is the second time I've use B&J. The first was for my heater that had stopped heating. Estaban arrived the day after I called, and found the problem within just a few minutes. He then very thoroughly and professionally proceeded to troubleshoot what may have caused the problem and diagnosed that within a half hour giving me peace of mind that nothing major was going on. I was so impressed that I decided to call the same service to come do preventative maintenance and start up on my swamp cooler and a/c. Having recently purchased this house as a foreclosed property, I wasn't even sure if either devise worked. Looking at the rust and the way some of the external connections on them I half expected the worse. Estaban put my mind at ease very quickly by showing that not only were both devises quite operable, but each was relatively new and should last me for several years yet. He was very helpful to show me each stage of what he was doing and informed me how I can perform much of the same maintenance myself. I could not be more pleased with this service.

B and J Refrigeration sent out Jason Tejeda to work on my Air Conditioner. He diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes and repaired in in 5. The problem was a bit complex (bad capacitors on motors), small leaks ...etc. He performed an OUTSTANDING JOB. Also, Jason let me know how I can perform the needed work at increments at a time so that I could budget the repairs but still have a working air conditioner. Awesome service at a great price. I highly recommend this company and their technicians.

It went very well except for one little item - they forgot to check the existing electrical to ensure it was at the proper spec for the system. They missed the scheduled follow-up appointment, and did not notify me they would not be able to make it or reschedule.

They did a good job. They did have to come back to repair a fan that didn't work right and they did that right away.

Overall I think the service is necessary, especially if you own an older AC. I feel at ease knowing I have a professional checking out the system twice a year. The price is kinda expensive at $90 each visit, but it does include filters which usually cost quite a bit. I will be using B & J in the future!

Went exactly as described. The installer was courteous and answered all of my questions. I received exactly what I paid for.

Excellent from appointment to completion. The serviceman arrived on time and serviced both units. For 2 AC/heat units, the price was good even before the $20 discount given.

Called for an estimate and we were told that a representative would be at our house the next day at a specified time. He showed up exactly when stated. The estimate was prepared and mailed to us within two days. The extimate was much better than I had hoped and we opted to go with B & J Refrigeration. They showed up on the day and at the time stated for installation and finished the work of removing the old heating and air conditioning unit and had the new one installed and operational by the end of the work day. All trash and liter was completely cleaned up. Promised paper work for credits and rebates was promised to be in our hands within two to three days and arrived as promised with little for us to do but sign and put in an envelope or hold for tax time. Very professional from start to finish. The unit has perfomed flawlessly since installation.

See above. The repairman was very professional, explained the required repair in detail and performed the service while I kept a doctor's appointment. When he finished the job after 4 hours on the roof, he was covered from head to toe in sweat.

The repair was completed in short order considering the weather. The service tech was friendly and very resourceful to complete the repair. J & B Refrigeration runs a first class operation. Would recommend to my friends and family. I could not be happier with the job they have done for me.

Outstanding! Fast response, even after normal business hours. Matt was very diligent and professional. Every effort was made to get the system back in working order even though it was after nine PM. When he was unable to obtain the parts due to the time of day, he made us a priority and was their by ten AM the next morning in order to accomadate our work schedules and get our home back to normal. I wish all service related experiences would go this well.

Dale returned our late call after office hours and set up an appointment for the next morning. The written offer was very fair and detailed. The office manager agreed to meet the cash discount that we had been offered in our first estimate by another company. Dale was very honest about the upgrades that would need to be made to our electrical as we have a 1957 home. He included it in the estimate and guaranteed that his system would pass inspection. Vance, the owner of Temp-Con, gave us our third estimate and told us that he would meet B & J's price and throw in an additional 10 year parts and labor warranty so we went with him. Unfortunately, we found out after the work was "done" that Temp Con does not warranty the inspection like J & B nor will they install the GFI upgrade as agreed. In fact, Temp Con told us that it may cost us an additional $2000 to pass code! I would go with B & J in a heartbeat if I had it to over again!

My air conditioner stopped working at 7 PM during the summer. I immediately called B&J. They dispatched someone to my home. The problem was diagnosed and quickly fixed. It was a very inexpensive part. The company could have taken advantage and charged for other component replacement, but didn't. They are a very honorable company.

From the very first contact, B & J Refrigeration impressed me. At 9:30PM on a Sunday evening, their 24 hour operator answered on the first ring, politely scheduled an appointment and informed me that someone would call me by 8:00AM the next morning. At 7:58AM the next morning, I received a call from the dispatcher that the tech should arrive at my home between 9 and 9:30. An hour later, received another call that he was on his way. At 9:30 the tech arrived, diagnosed the problem, determined the availability of required parts, and spent the remainder of the day installing the parts. Even after retreiving the part, he still tried to determine if he could repair the existing evaporative coils to save us the cost of the new part. He was very skilled and overcame obstacles unique to our installation. Everyone we came in contact with, the 24 hour operator, the dispatcher, the estimator, and especially our technician was polite, efficient, and professional. In the future, I don't need to look any further for an HVAC service/installer in Tucson, I have B & J Refrigeration. I have strongly recommended B & J to my friends and would likewise recommend them to anyone in need of A/C service. No one likes to spend money on repairs, but B & J Refrigeration soothed the financial pain with first rate service.

They even billed me since I was out of town and let me pay when I got back, which was great and appreciated. Overall, the price was reasonable and service went well.

My coolers have never worked this efficiently! The technician showed me the build up of salt in the coolers that had not ever been cleaned out by the previous company I had doing my service. He spent time removing the residue from the insides of the coolers as well as replacing a belt that had caked on salt. These coolers are only 3 years old and because of the neglect/lack of knowledge from the previous company they have now aged considerably faster! I look forward to an ongoing relationship with B & J and feel confident that they will prolong the life of my cooling and heating and will not steer me wrong.

Very happy with service. Have signed up for service contract. The tech told me what needed to be repaired without talking to me like I was an idiot.

Excellent experience starting from the friendly and knowledgeable person answering the phone. The service visit was scheduled immediately for the next day. The technicians arrived on time and were polite and professional in diagnosing the problems in my heating system and proposing different solutions. I felt that they made a sincere effort to understand my personal needs and did their best to work accordingly even though it may not have been the most profitable route for them. The job ended up taking a bit more time than planned and they had to come back the next day. All this was well communicated and the difference on the final invoice was less than I expected. I would definitely use B&J Refrigeration again should I ever have any cooling or heating problems.

Their estimate was very good. The installers came out to give me an estimate. They were nice and polite. They were punctual, responsive and came out within 2 days. They came out in jeans and T shirts and they probably came out after doing other jobs.

Heater wasn't working. Called B&J to schedule appointment to fix. The tech came on time and the service was quick. It was only a loose wire in the thermostat. The tech was able to diagnose the problem in about 5 minutes.

Installers showed up right on time and did an excellent job on installation. They proved to be true professionals. Installation site was cleaned and all old equipment was removed from the property. B&J also helped with regard to submitting rebates from Rheem, Federal and local electrical company. Rebates totaled some $ 2,100, thus cutting the overall cost $ 4,830 considerably. I highly recommend B&J and certainly do business with them again.
