Ruben and his crew are outstanding. They recently painted the exterior of my Santa Fe style home and the results are magnificent. Ruben is a true professional who takes pride in his work and never rests until things are exactly right. His communication skills are excellent and he makes sure every detail is perfect before the job is done. He is honest, upfront, and extremely knowledgeable about paint colors, finishes, etc. Now for the crew. I can't say enough good things about the three incredibly courteous and hard-working gentlemen who showed up every morning at 7 am sharp, working tirelessly even in the 104 degree Tucson heat to make my house beautiful! When I had questions or concerns, they stopped their work immediately to respond. At the end of every work day, they were meticulous about cleaning up so that my husband and I could go about our routines with little disruption. I used Avalon painting for the interior of my home a few years ago and the paint job still looks like new. Once again, Ruben's attention to detail and his knowledge of the painting process made a huge difference in how the interior turned out. His insistence on quality materials really pays off! I highly recommend Avalon painting for any painting project, indoor or outdoors. Companies like this are hard to come by and I am truly grateful I found them.

It could not have gone better! Ruben is the consummate professional in every way. He was extremely flexible and gracious regarding scheduling (and re-scheduling, due to a horrible general contractor in our home that put every other service behind). He was really awesome at assisting us in picking the very best paint types, and guiding our color choices, as well as sharing ideas on how to bring out the beauty of our home. His crew--Jorge, Gabriel, and Luis were fantastic! The were most respectful of our home, tidying up at the end of each day, showing up exactly on time every single day and putting in full days, and so great at their jobs! The edging is flawless! Avalon went above and beyond, in pre-painting cleaning of the home, oiling all the wood to bring out its beauty, being timely and professional. They will definitely be hired to do the exterior of our house later this year. Cannot recommend highly enough. A true Tucson gem!!!

We recently moved to Tucson and I can say Avalon Painting is probably our greatest “find” so far. Mr. Ramirez and his incredibly hardworking staff painted the entire interior of our home and the results are magnificent. Mr. Ramirez was on site for most of the project, working diligently with his crew to get things done in a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable about all facets of painting and delivered a finished product far beyond my expectations. He helped select a beautiful, contemporary paint color and painted a few boards in advance so we could see the color in different lights and different times of day. In addition to painting, he and his crew oiled my wooden front door, wood beamed ceilings, interior doors, and window moldings with great care. I never asked for this-- they just did it! Everything is clean, fresh, and updated looking including all the closets and kitchen pantry. If you didn’t know my house was built in the 1980’s, you’d think it was brand new! Unlike many other painting and remodeling companies, Avalon goes the extra mile to clean up the house at the end of each work day and put everything back in its place. The crew was so pleasant and helpful— if I asked them to move a piece of furniture, they immediately stopped what they were doing to assist. They arrived promptly each morning and worked non-stop each day until everything on that day’s schedule got done. Rarely have I worked with a crew and owner so fastidious and hardworking as Avalon. They are a rare gem. If you are looking for a quality company with first-rate workmen and a professional, caring, talented owner, Avalon Painting is your answer. I highly recommend them and plan to have them back very soon.

It took 3 days. First they covered windows, then washed exterior walls. They spray painted walls then went over them with a roller. They caulked where necessary. Each day they cleaned up. They were very professional. They also scaped all loose old paint. They might be a bit pricey but well worth the price.

It went very smoothly. Mr. Ramirez kept in touch by phone before starting work, letting me know when the crew could start after a minor delay due to bad weather in February. Since I was in no hurry, we sort of worked together to accommodate both our schedules. The crew of 3 showed up about 8:30 each day and worked until 5:00. Mr. Ramirez was on the job with his men most days, and kept in touch by phone when he wasn't there. Everyone was pleasant and minimized any disruption to my schedule by telling me what part of the house/guesthouse/fence they would be working on. The work is very good! Everyone worked together so that nothing was missed. It looks wonderful. They applied a primer and then the final color, which was not the same color as the house had been previously. They also patched stucco where needed, and changed the floodlights for me. The whole property was desperately in need of paint, but they coped well with the challenge. I would definitely use Avalon again, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

The job was done with perfection and took about 4 days. They also painted the complete interior of our home in 11/2006. They are very professional and clean and timely. The inside was also done with perfection. No paint spatters and they cleaned up after themselves and even vacuumed. They were very helpful with color ideas. Five or six years later our home continues to look fresh and clean. No paint peeling yet. We would recommend Avalon to anyone who needs or wants an exccellant paint job. We would definitely have Avalon come back to our home to paint it again.

I was satisfied during the estimate process and early stages of the job. They were responsive and patient. However, I was dissatisfied with the results. Avalon staff had stated prior to painting that they would peel off and remove old and flaking paint. They did not. Instead they just painted over the peeling paint on the exterior walls and on the window frames. I called back many times to have them rectify this situation. They were not responsive and after about a year of trying I gave up.

Everything about them is excellent. It might be a little high priced according to some of the other people but I really think their quality is better.
