i recently had a custom home built, the contractor used this company to prewire my house for surround sound etc... so when the house was completed i got their names from the contractor, and figured i would use them to install the completion phase of the project of installing the tv, the speakers, the wifi extender etc.. the total came to bout 6,000.. the owner wayne is a great communicator when it comes to collecting the check... once he gets the check you dont hear from him, so anyway, they came to install all the items, they ran into a problem, one of the wires they installed came disconnected in the wall, so they cut across my living room wall to install a new wire, i was not happy as you could understand, the house is brand new( owner says its not his responsibility to fix the wall) now i have to get the wall fixed...... then the receiver they gave me was bad, had to wait weeks to get a new one, no word from the owner, i had to call him.. funny thing is, when i called him, he says... ohhh it just arrived lol....... then the tech had told the owner that another wire was disconnected somewhere so the volumn controls didnt work...but the owner pulled them off the site cause he knew i was not gonna be happy... so now i had to wait another month to get them back out to look at it... i was told that they could not put off their big accounts to fix my issue.. at this point im ****** off... so they csme up with a wireless solution to install a box in my master bedroom to communicate to my receiver, (i was not gonna let them cut another wall) soooo i waited bout a month for this item, so i finally called, several times, no respponse, and hes always on vacation which is bs.. but anyway got ahold of him, he says it just came in.. lol.. sound familiar... but its damaged i have to send it back...another 2 weeks go by... i call.... oh it just came in lol.... they come out set it all up... and tell us we have too many networks and its out of their control......and left my wife says why didnt they just plug it in to the wall and then to the router,,,, we have a central panel for that... i said idk..... called another company... they came out literally took them 15 minutes to crimp an end on a cable.. plug it in and everything works lol..... i could not believe it... this whole process ihas been goin on with this company for about 6 months.... just for surround sound.... im not a big review person but this was blatant disrespect to a client that spent a pretty good amount of money for a good service.... and i was treated pretty crappy so i will post this review on every review site in tucson to prevent someone else from this headache....my wife and i took alot of time out of our busy lives to meet people that cancel at the last minute, very frustrating... and they also do central vac systems, and i had them re do the pipes for that because the guy installing them had no clue on what he was doin,,, they had to cut the ceiling to fix a pipe that was disconnected... hope this helps some of the tucson crowd from making a bad decision..i wish i would of read reviews before hiring them

They were great! I am not sure why these other people had problems with them. I found Wayne to very honest and responsive. He even talked me out of a more expensive purchase because it was not necessary for my system. He and his team are extremely knowledgable and competent. I purchased GoldenEar Technology speakers from them for my surround sound and had them calibrate my whole home theater system. They spent a lot of time not only doing the calibration, but explaining to me how to properly use the sound system for different types of content. It sounds better than it ever did before and the new speakers are amazing! Price was very reasonable. I did have to leave a message when I called in to ask some questions, but they got back to me the same day. For a small family outfit, I did not find this to be unreasonable. I would definitely hire them again. Very clean installation.

A month later he came to install the equipment the same day that I found he had charged my credit care a month before almost double what he had quoted me. He was not authorized to bill my credit card at all till the equipment was delivered. I called in the morning and there was no answer (there never is an answer). When his men came I told them they can't install due to discrepancy in the price. They called the owner, Wayne, who said that he was not in the office and could not go over the price with me, but I should let them install the equipment and he would go over the price when he returns in the evening. I told him the price difference was to great and we had to discuss the price before I allowed it to be delivered. Wayne, then told his men to leave the equipment on the floor and run out the door, which is what they did. That evening he did call and told me he did that because if I had the equipment then he had a better case in court. I think that alone is enough for no one to ever do business with him or his company. They never delivered the door bell for which they charged me $201.00 and despite early on promising to immediately issue me a refund. They now refuse to give a refund despite never delivering the bell equipment. In order to avoid a court case, I did agree to a reduction to $1,175.91 from $1,627.99 and after 3 or 4 cancellations they did come to install the equipment. Their attempts brought down my computer network. I had to hire another company to do the installation. This whole process took 4 months since they kept cancelling or not showing up and I have non working DVR for my surveillance system and no doorbell or refund. You can decide if you would want to have any dealings with this company.
Description of Work: In February Wayne McCoy, head of Audio Visual Technologies gave me a quote for a DVR and Monitor for my surveillance system and for a door bell which connects to the phone. I authorized him to deliver and install the equipment. In short, all the equipment was not delivered and they refused to give a refund for which I will have to sue. They did try to install the DVR and instead brought down my whole computer network instead. I had to pay to have someone come and fix it. Worst company I ever had the misfortune to deal with.

Poorly. The crew was not punctual. They were unable to provide me with streaming video despite the purchase of $1,600 of new equipment. Now I have a Blu-ray player that LG said I should return and a Denon receiver that shuts down repeatedly. Since I purchased these items from Audio Video Technologies, and they do not respond, I cannot return them. LG suggested I send the receiver to the factory for servicing, and I am now communicating with Denon tech support. When you call Audio Video Technologies, you get a message. Having called repeatedly and playing "telephone tag," I just left dates where they could come and get the system working. They have not responded. Two lessons learned. I should not have purchased the equipment through them, but should have purchased it directly from an electronics store. I should not have paid the bill until the system was actually functioning. Also, I was quoted $75 an hour for installation and the installation would take about two hours. It took much longer and there were three technicians who each get paid. The owner did knock off about $100 because the technicians were unable to make the connection, but I still paid $400 for installation for a system that is not working. .
Description of Work: They assessed my present small home theater system and made recommendations that were to enable me to have streaming video and better surround sound; provided and installed the receiver, amplifier, and blu-ray player. Attempted to get the wireless connection and streaming video, but has not worked.

Their lead marketer is a great pitch man and researches his products but is a poor manager. I purchased a two Sonos 5 speakers at three hundred and ninety nine dollars, a Sonos 3 speaker for two hundred and ninety nine dollars, a Sonos bridge for forty nine dollars and a RTI controller. Total cost well over $2200. Shortly after placing the order, the Sonos company was giving away the $49 bridge component when you purchased one Sonos 5 speaker. The person who took order and owner of the company then went on a 10 day holiday leaving his technician to solve any unforeseen problems. I never got a detail price breakout for the parts, the labor, etc. but it appears the labor charge is well over $1000 for what this guy did and guess what the system failed shortly after he left. He did return when I threaten the owner with legal action. The RTI controller for the TV, DirecTV, woofer, sound bar, and DVD player is still not working and can only be fixed the the technician using his laptop. Oh, he promised to email me the specifics and technical information but didn't happen. I placed two phone calls and got a voice mail. No return calls. So it's off to the attorney or small claims court because this guy needs a wakeup call. UPDATE FINALLY GOT AN INVOICE WITH A TOTAL COST AND NO BREAKOUT OF PARTS, LABOR, OR INSTALLATION CHARGES LISTED. APPARENTLY EITHER HIS WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND IS THE "BILLING DEPT" AND HAS TROUBLE WITH HER MATH
