I was pleased from the very start when Wayne suggested that i NOT buy the most expensive outside antenna. Then, he was able to provide the appropriate one and install it all at the same time. I researched the antenna he suggested, and he was right, and the reception we get without cable is the best ever. I'd hire AVT again.

AVT worked within my budget, to create the solution I needed, restoring an old whole-house in-wall analog speaker system to perfect working condition, with a new selector switch box and individual volume controls. The technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and polite, a pleasure to have in the house. Thanks, AVT!

Technicians Ron and Anthony are both very gregarious and friendly while doing their best to ensure customer satisfaction. They were on time and completed the antennae replacement/new antennae installation in about an hour. We are very pleased with the entire experience.

I had video surveillance installed for my business, and I could not be happier... Not only was the price right, but the gentleman that came out to do the install was fast, knew his stuff, but he also cleaned up perfectly before going. No problems whatsoever. Highly recommend!

While the first install did not go as planned, once AV Tech got back to me with proper mounting hardware, the install went fine. They were one day later than planned, but that was not really a problem. Antenna they installed on gable end of roof was a Windward, similar to what is used on motor homes. The antenna has a built-in signal booster, but I think that given the distance to transmitters and tall trees around, we may require an additional signal booster. Having used such an antenna on a photometer, their range is not the greatest. But the antennas was what AV Tech said would work for me. We have it hooked up to two televisions. On both TV,s CBS and PBS stations break up digitally and also audio drops out. NBC, ABC and assortment of other channels all seem to be received very well. The digital picture we receive is great for 1080 broadcasts and I notice that some stations only broadcast in 720 or even lower. The 1080 broadcast are even sharper than we got local channels through Direct TV. On our newest smart TV, in addition to about 40 digital stations we receive another 40 to 50 stations that we will rarely if ever watch, but they are available with an outside antenna. Cutting the cable, so to speak, may require some additional expense as the $189 antenna (expensive) and the installation cost of over $350 (seemed a little high) do not give the over-the-air reception we expected. So while satisfied the installers (Robert and Michael) did a great job, the overall resulting reception leaves something to be desired. I spoke with AV Tech about a second booster for our main TV we watch the most and seems to have the most reception issues, but after a few days I find that both TVs have signal issues.

Forgot my appointment. Arrived 4 hours late. But they eventually did a good job.

The main reason for giving two star's for customer service is the near impossibility of getting Wayne, the owner/manager, on the phone. Messages go to voice mail and days go by before he responds if at all. When he does respond there seems to be confusion about what is supposed to be going on. Basic installation of security cameras seemed ok although I wish I had realized I would have to do my own drywall patching and texturizing. That's probably in the fine print but it would be nice if they would at least prep the drywall for painting. At this time after reading other reviews and because of my own experience I would not recommend this company. Too bad as the installers were pleasant and seemed to know what they were doing. 8/6/18 Update. Am removing another star because of the owner's innacurate and, in my opinion, defensive response to a review I posted elsewhere (see BBB). He's had more than ample opportunity to return my phone calls and to reach out to amicably resolve issues. Poor customer support. Can't recommend.

This company NEVER completed the job. I have a security recorder, but it's NOT installed. I offered to pay extra money, but they don't answer their calls. It has been a week and no response. They have literally disappeared. Now I don't know what to do. The security recorded has no instructions and I don't even have a receipt for the unit, and I paid for it!

After weeks of negotiations I contracted with this merchant in late Jan. with a start date in late Feb. to install a projection tv system with motorized 120" screen to be enclosed(hidden) behind an agreed upon soffit. Merchant evaluated my current audio equipment/speakers & we agreed upon which components could stay & which would be replaced. Agreed upon price, was approximately $12,000(almost $10,000 due at contract & remainder due at completion). The price included a 10% discount & two motorized light blocking shades if necessary. Merchant estimated 3-5 days for project completion. Here's what I experienced: Project was to begin on Feb. 23; actually began on Feb. 28(merchant cancelled first two appointments). In late March, after additional cancelled appointments, & with numerous component & billing disputes, merchant without my knowledge, put thru an unauthorized credit card charge for the remaining balance. Merchant unapologetically reversed the payment but insisted final payment was now due(ignoring his own contract stating "remainder due at completion") even though numerous unresolved issues existed: 1. Universal remote was not universal 2. Record player had hum 3. Motorized light blocking shades were not installed 4. Projector image was not properly calibrated 5. Screen had ripples & bowing issues 6. Soffit frame was removed at my request because his own sheet rock finishers felt it was poorly constructed & would not support their work 7. 10% discounted was being reduced to cover product only-not entire project On April 9, merchant returned to address all outstanding issues & to install manual shades (he refused to honor contractual motorized shades). After failing to resolve outstanding issues authorization was given for final payment based on merchant's assurances he would return to resolve all functional & billing concerns. Merchant returned on April 29 & was still unable to resolve outstanding issues. He was to return in May. I entered a credit card dispute the same day & filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Merchant refused to return after credit card dispute was resolved in my favor. I then filed a complaint with State Attorney General's office for what I felt was deceptive, fraudulent & possibly perjurous statements: 1. March 29 credit card charged without my knowledge 2. I received a violation of US Copyright Law notice from Cox while installers were on site that an illegal download for a movie using BitTorrent had occurred 3. Merchant added an UNDISCLOSED credit card fee to the sales tax WITHOUT DISCLOSURE 4. Merchant advised State Attorney General's office that I made a false statement in my filing--which he later recanted 5. Merchant advised BBB that he installed a new subwoofer which he did not. Merchant filed suit for the disputed credit card amount & was awarded approx. half of the am

I originally stated that these guys did a good job, but how wrong I was. They charged me $834 to supply and install a TV antennae, as well as hang a flat-screen TV. Six months later and numerous phone calls, the TV cannot receive TV pictures. They are a nightmare to speak with. Do yourself a favor and never use this firm. They seem happier with their contract with Best Buy.

They installed an access point for house to expand our wireless range. They completed the work in under an hour - the techs who did the job were bright and efficient and courteous. We're more than happy with results - our wireless range throughout our home is now "4 bars" and extends throughout our entire back yard. An inexpensive solution that makes our wireless experience stellar.

I needed to have coax and ethernet outlets in my home relocated, a job that my tv/internet provider said it could not handle. The crew from Audio Video Technologies did the job expertly, neatly, and surprisingly quickly. Communication was good both before and during the project. This did not come cheap, though I paid for a crew of two that was clearly necessary on my job. I am very satisfied.

Wayne McCoy(the owner) tried everything possible to get us reception even though he initially mis-spoke about the likelihood of us obtaining good reception where we lived. The final bill was fair although slightly higher than originally quoted.
