Arizona Service Plumbing

Once again Steve Gopp came to the rescue. I was out of state on a trip when I got a call telling me that one of the toilets in the house was running constantly and could not be stopped because the shutoff valve to the toilet had broken off. It was 8 a.m. in Tucson and I called Steve who understood the emergency and said he could be there by 11 a.m. He arrived on time, replaced the old faulty supply line and valve, and installed a new fill valve to replace the 20 year old defective one. The job took over an hour. I have used Steve before and will continue to use him and recommend him, for all my plumbing need. He is prompt, efficient, neat and courteous.

Steve Gopp, the sole proprietor of Arizona Service Plumbing, first came to my house on July 18 to look at two bathtub faucets that had been leaking for quite a while. One turned out to require only a simple part that he was able to get at the neighborhood Ace hardware store (instead of running all the way to a plumbing supply store, which saved me money), though it needed a special tool I didn't have, so I didn't feel bad about not fixing it myself. The other was also an easy repair for him with parts on his truck. These repairs cost $137 for parts and labor, which I thought was very reasonable. I also wanted him to replace the trim on one of the bathtubs, since it had gotten pretty corroded from the chronic leak. He said he would order the kit at a specialty outlet and let me know when it came in, and return to replace it. During the repair on the other tub, Steve called to my attention the fact that the hot water to that bathroom had very low pressure, which I sort of knew but hadn't thought to complain about. While there we looked at the water heater to that part of the house (I have two, for widely separated zones), and he found a suspiciously corroded valve. We agreed that when he returned to replace the trim he would fix that too. Steve called just as he promised the day the trim kit came in, we arranged a date for him to return, and he installed it perfectly, as well as replacing the valve and tubing on the hot water heater. This service cost $231, mostly for the parts ($133), which he did not mark up. Steve is very friendly, very reliable, punctual, and honest, and really gave me good advice about what to do to keep the cost reasonable, when he could have (as many such service people do) recommended much more expensive procedures. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

I called and was lucky, I had a quick job and was on the way to his next job. The spigot was replaced (aka issue fixed) within 25 minutes of us hanging up. He also had a great attitude and I will call him again for any of my plumbing needs.

Steve Gopp is Arizona Service Plumbing. He does it all. .from free estimate to providing materials if needed to doing all the work himself. Steve's information is easy to understand, his work ethics are truly outstanding and I will use him again. Steve had to go back to his supplier to get another part as the one purchased was defective..no additional time charge for that! He tried to install 2 different toilet seats with bidet attachments but they were not compatible with the Toto unit and its setting at this time and this may get redone in the future. Costs do not include tax or materials. Well Done Steve!

Steve arrived on time, which is an important factor to us. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. He had to search several stores to get a part that was very hard to find. When he finished his work, everything worked well, and there was no mess for us to clean. We highly recommend Steve, from Arizona Service Plumbing.

he was very good and effective with his service. he explained why he charges what he does. i called him again 3 weeks later for a leak under my bathroom sink and a leak near my furnace and he asked me to call back and leave a message with my number because he was driving. i never heard back from him. he also said he could not remember doing that job at my house. i decided not to hunt him down if he does not want the job tan so be it. there are plenty of others out there willing to the job, i am sure!

The original pipe for the automatic pool fill was leaking. It was connected to the hose bib coming out of the house. I had installed a PVC pipe for the garden hose bib and had teed it to supply water to the lawn sprinklers. Steve normally does not work on Sunday. However, since he lives nearby, he was extremely kind enough to agree to come by and simply stop the leak so we could then schedule a subsequent repair visit during his normal working hours. Steve not only stopped the leak, but he replaced all of the .PVC fittings with metal and added a ball valve going to the sprinklers on the same visit. The job is so well done, I believe the new pipes and fittings will outlast the house! The job was done professionally, timely and this customer is extremely satisfied!!!! Arizona Service Plumbing is on my list for the only plumber to call for any future issues that might arise.

Steve responded quickly, provided me with an approximate estimate and we established a time for the installation. He was very responsive and showed up at the exact time that he had promised. It is definitely an improvement with what we normally receive when we call for service which is usually a 4-6 hour window. Generally my luck is that they show up at the last minute or I have to call to make sure they are indeed coming. The installation went as promised and the premise was all cleaned up as though the unit had pre-existed. I would not hesitate to contact Steve again if I have need for his services.

Steve is awesome. He was courteous, responsive, did great work, and was reasonably priced. I now have a great and reliable plumber. I will call him again, and I recommend Steve to any one else

It went very well. Steve returned my initial call within 2 hours and came out the same afternoon to review the necessary work, provide an estimate and determine which parts he needed to provide for the job. The work was completed the next morning. It was quite neat and the work area was properly cleaned up. I supplied the back flow preventer, so the cost of service includes only the replacement ball valve, a couple of copper fittings and the labor for the job. I will certainly use Arizona Service Plumbing in the future.

It went extremely well. He was on time did the work in a professional manner and cleaned up. He explained what he was mdoing and what he couldn't.do. Steve is a true professional.

We have an older home and the plumbing, at the very least, is challenging. Steve miraculously repaired the shower , verified that the system was sound, and accomplished this at very reasoanble price. He had to do this in 2 visits due to the age of the fixtures and the difficulty in locating appropriate parts. It was a real pleasure to have a professional, honest plumber.

While away from our residence, a friend checking on our place called to let us know the water faucet on the outside of the house was leaking. We called Steve at Arizona Service Plumbing who responded very quickly and checked the situation out. Steve had previously done work at our place and was also very prompt, courteous, and did an excellent job. We think his rates are most reasonable and he has provided excellent service.

I was trying to fix a faucet myself and failed. Steve responded quickly and fixed it right in less than an hour. He wass very pleasant and knowledgeable. We will always use him in the future.

When my disposer broke I called Arizona Service Plumbing after selecting him from Angie's list, as it appeared that he was an individual and not a large company. I had purchased a new disposer and needed to have it installed as soon as possible. I was struck by the fact that Steve asked me when it would be convenient for me, instead of telling me when he could do the job. He arrived at the agreed upon time, went to work, finished the job promptly, and cleaned up. He also offered to haul away the old unit, which saved me a trip to the dump. If only all other service providers were as pleasant, courteous, prompt, and fairly priced!

It went great! I never saw Steve at all but we talked by phone. The hot water heater was 20 years old and actually it was a pretty good shape but I live in a calcium and lime enriched environment so I figured it is time for a change. I didn't want to come home one day and have the neighbors tell me that my hot water heater blew up. I asked Steve to come over and give me an estimate on a new hot water heater, The heater is in the utility room which can be entered from the back yard. so I can lock the rest of the house off. He came to my house and called me later with an estimate. I thought the estimate was pretty good so I agreed to it. The next day he installed the hot water heater with a 6 year warranty and it looked great. I did call him with some questions about it later but he answered them promptly. I had trust in him so I was never there.

This was just a great experience. Steve was on time, actually early which was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. He explained everything that he did while he was doing it. The nearest plumbing supply shop was a bit distant so he purchased the necessary parts at the nearby Home Depot. He showed me the receipts and did not mark up the products. Like a good professional he showed me the worn out parts and explained why they were not working correctly. He was pleasant the whole time that he was working. He also noted some problems with my hot water heater and told me that if I ever needed to sell the property some changes might need to be made. He explained that it would be easy to do that if I ever needed him again. I own my home as do my daughter and son in Tucson and I would never hesitate to recommend Steve for a job. I was just a very pleasant, non-frustrating experience. Again he was on time, work efficiently and very cordial during the whole episode.

Our regular plumber was out of town so I called Steve Gopp on a Monday based on the reviews I had read here. The reviews definitely did not disappoint us. We had no hot water since Sunday as a result of our hot water heater malfunctioning and were unable to restart the pilot light ourselves. On the phone Steve told me what he thought the issue might be, then came over within 2 hours of my initial call. He said there was nothing wrong with the water heater itself, was able to reignite the pilot but said he wasn't sure how long it would stay lit. Our 7-year old water heater had a faulty thermal coupler and required a conversion kit. He helped me place the order with the company, spoke with the representative and asked all the questions which I was unfamiliar with. We agreed he would come back to install the part when it arrived. Steve applied the coupon from Angie's List without my even asking for it; he remembered how we had been referred to him. I was impressed by his professionalism, courtesy and responsiveness. Two days later our part arrived around noon so I called Steve to tell him it was here. Not even 2 hours later he was at our house installing the new part. Our water heater was back up and running in under an hour. I would highly recommend Arizona Service Plumbing to anyone. Steve does excellent work and above all he is honest, friendly and responsive. His rates are quite reasonable too!

I had a leaking sprinkler head for my fire protection system in a 16 1/2 ft ceiling. I was not able to get any of the fire protection contractors to come out and fix the problem in a timely manner. It was then suggested that I call a plumber to turn off the system until repairs could be made. Thanks to Angie's list I found Arizona Service Plumbing. Steve came out to my home and found that there was no cut off valve on the sprinkler system. Steve installed a cut off valve which stopped the leaking head. Steve is very professional and completed the job in a timely manner. The cost turned out to be less than was estimated which was nice. I would definitely use Arizona Service Plumbing again in the future if the need arises.

Water was leaking slowly from beneath the tub and there was no serivice access available. Arizona Service Plumbing set up an appointment the day following contact that was convienent for us. Arizona Service Plumbing performed an intelligent investigation to minimize the damage caused in locating the leak. Once the leak was located it was fixed the same visit. Thanks to Arizona Service Plumbing we had the best possible outcome for this particular plumbing situation.
