We had two windows measured for Hunter Douglas blinds March 2017 and gave the company owner a deposit of 1/2 down. To date (Sept. 2017) we have yet to receive our blinds and the owner does not return calls. We are in the process now of having to file a small claims suit.

My experience with them was horrible. We placed the order in October and they were supposed to come out in two weeks. When I called them, they said that they lost my order or they would say that they are coming and they wouldn’t. One day I called and asked the lady why no one was being responsive to my calls because I initiated the phone calls even after they promised to call. I think their follow up was not good. The day they finally came in, she called me an hour after she was supposed to be there to tell me that she was going to be running late. I didn’t get the phone call so she left a voice mail but she forgot to hang up her phone. I listened to a horrible conversation with her office staff. I eventually got what I wanted but it was difficult to get it. What they came in with was the wrong order. When they put it up, it was the wrong color but I’m glad they made the mistake because the color looks better. I thought their price was very reasonable. The only reason I’d use them again is if we need to work on another room so that we would get matching blinds but I will try not to use them again.
Description of Work: We got custom window blinds in the master bedroom.

The blinds came in a few weeks late. Every time we would call Sande would gush and gush and say that these things happened and we would get our blinds. When the blinds finally came in they were the wrong ones and Sande blamed Hunter Douglas for sending us the wrong items. The blinds had to be reordered again which meant that we would have to wait another three weeks. We finally got the blinds and Sande comes with her team to set them up with a glue gun!!!! The glue gun was used to glue the returns to the valance even though the blinds come with clips. Unfortunately you can see some of the glue which doesn't look very professional. After the blinds were hung we noticed there were not what we ordered. We ordered the non-privacy blinds and she showed up with the privacy blinds. We didn't want to wait any longer for blinds so we accepted the privacy blinds. There were also some returns for the valances missing from the order and Sande said she would take care of ordering the missing items. After installation we noticed some slats/cords that were damaged so we called Sande again to tell her of the issue. She apologized and apologized and said she would reorder them and get them to us. She even said she would give us a $50 gift card for our troubles. It took a lot of unreturned phone calls and several months for her to come back to the house and fix/change the damaged items and it turned out the missing return was not ordered. She claimed she didn't know about it when she was the one who noticed it was missing from the original shipment. She also showed up two hours late for the appointment. Please Please do not waste your time with this company. They are great at getting your business but once you have placed your order you can forget about any type of good customer service. The whole process took over SEVEN MONTHS, horrible service, our blinds are not what we ordered and we never got the gift card. We are not upset about the gift card but we are upset about their disrespect to their customers and the absolute horrible service. When it was time to order blinds for our first floor we ordered Hunter Douglas Blinds from Costco. They were a little bit cheaper and it was all done in four weeks (from initial consultation to having the blinds actually put in our home).
Description of Work: We ordered Hunter Douglas blinds for the entire second floor of our home and also ordered some beautiful Luminette shades or coverings for our large glass sliding doors. We decided to go with Arizona Blind because we had heard wonderful things about Hunter Douglas and their products. We chose Arizona Blind because they are listed as a "gallery" on Hunter Douglas' website so they are supposed to deliver premiere customer service. I wish we would have done more research. We went to their showroom on Broadway twice. The first time we were told to return because Sande who is the owner and apparently the only person that can do anything was not there. We returned met with Sande and ordered our blinds.

LOUSY!!!
Description of Work: Had 3 shades from Hunter Douglas made for 3 windows above my large windows. About 5' wide and 2' long. They came out on to measure on 1-22-2013. After waiting weeks called them and the person working the phone told me she couldn't find anything in my name. Told her to give my number to the person who would know and have her call me back. Had to call back because she didn't call me back. Called again and told her to tell the other lady to call me back again. Finally she called and said she didn't know why they weren't sent to them yet. After calling numerous times she told me they were being sent to them. This is now 5 weeks from the time they were ordered. I called again to see if they finally received them. She told me I was called and they were going to install them on Thursday April 4th. I told her I was never called or was there any voice mail left. So I verified the day 3 times with her and she said yes on April 4th Thursday. This was almost 6 weeks from the time I ordered them. I was having my house painted and guess what? She was at my door on Wed. a day early. I said your suppose to be here on Thursday. She said no it was Wed. I told her I said the date 3 times with you and you verified it was Thur. She said no I'm not here on Thur. I told her to install them now. The painters were still painting. She said if it was wet she would not install them and could not wait. They finally told her it would be ready in 15 minutes. Seeing she was a day early. Finally they were installed and she was out of our lives. They don't call back they deny dates they tell you. Not a good Company. Would never do business with them ever again.

Sande was great to work with on this project. She gave excellent guidance on product selection. Her knowledge and experience facilitated getting the measurements done properly for the arches and getting them manufactured to specification so that the job could be completed satisfactorily. (Another company had previously failed at an effort to do so and said it couldn't be done.) The price was acceptable, even though a little higher than I would have liked, but I was willing to pay the price necessary for the product needed to accomplish our objective. There was a slight delay in manufacturing the shades due to a back order on the shade fabric. Sande was able to deliver within a reasonable time frame. When contacting the store I found it best to leave a message for Sande to call me back rather than discussing the reason for my call; Sande was always good about returning calls. Sande and her helper were careful and professional in completing the installation. Sande's artistic talents are obvious in her skill in designing and crafting the large southwest style window valance which incorporates fabric with leather and copper brads. We've had several compliments on her work.
Description of Work: First consultation with Sande was for selection of Duette Architella honeycomb blackout window shades for 2 very large arch windows and rectangular windows below the arches. As part of the same job, a second consultation was done to select fabrics/design for a southwest valance for a large kitchen window. Project included design consultation, window measurements, ordering of product, design and production of window valance, and installation. Sande's third trip to my home was to install the products.
