Bedazed @ spinning my wheels for direct answers from Angie's Listed "appliance repair" providers, this is goes out to all the consumers bewildered by the snake-oil-salesman appliance-service-predators out there. So many shenanigans, even in Angie's platform--key words "appliance repair"--await you if you're in a sudden need without someone deserving your money. Honest businessmen aren't on Craigslist, caveat emptor--"Brian 520-609-**** or "APPLIANCE REPAIRMAN" Ed T. 520-225-7***. Those who appreciate customers with integrity readily affirm their expertise in advance with assurances like, "If I can't properly correct the problem, there's no charge for you." Search instead for "appliance" on Angie's. Emilio (ARIZONA APPLIANCE PARTS) redirected me to review a collection of appropriately qualified sole proprietorship(s) without all that bling Angie's "appliance repairs" hits will beguile and bedazzle you with. Look for the small guy with an honest business model. They're here in Pima County, too. But you gotta look, call, and ask in order to find one truthful and unlikely to molest your wallet after gutting your appliance--its innards all spread out over your laundry room floor as cold as a cadaver. Beware of these creeps who expect trust unverified. In my experience, they're (1) a dangerous risk, and (2) costlier--disappear after F%^$ing up your like-new washer/dryer/distiller, (3) giving a black eye to the honest small guy one-man-operations worthy of a piece of your income. It's touchy challenging a niche in Pima County's business community, but a lot of charlatans remain a real and present danger to consumers in sudden need of certified appliance-expertise. Like crocodiles in those nature shows, they coax you into a" "we coo'" mindset, "Oh, I used to work @ Christie's Appliance", but mid-stream their jaws--figuratively speaking, a nondisclosure of closing costs snap down like teeth--tear into your financial well being. Determine their modus operandi in advance, friends! Not all of them are Craigslist bottom-feeders(see above for just 2), but even Angie's has reps phishing out your trust--expecting an advance payment as if your emergency precludes any expectation of appropriate credentials. Demand respectfully to see / copy business credentials if they don't offer them. Don't ever pay someone for a "trip" charge without this much assurance -- emailing, faxing, or their posting online guaranty matters. I know this sounds common sense, but being be preyed on is a scary, repulsive, and preventable catastrophe. Our community of appliance repair consumers need to sift out these parasites. Consumer awareness requires establishing verified trustworthiness with your business partners. Verbal promises only, you're probably too close to a snake.
Description of Work: Provider listened. Provider knew references to sole proprietorship(s) with integrity. Connection was made and Emilio deserves a salute from anyone stuck with the "advertised" gangsta's who tender exorbitant bids for very simple tasks.
