ANTHONY'S HEATING & COOLING

Mike and Donna at Anthony's are great! Let me start out by saying, because of my work experience, I am no stranger to machinery and complex systems. We bought the house a while back, and thought it might be time to have a "tune-up" on the central air conditioning system. The unit outside seemed to be laboring some. Our first call was to one of the 'big' companies- you'll know them by their many large ads, and fleet of service trucks- "Servicing Tucson, Phoenix, Mesa, blah, blah, blah". The service tech arrived while I was away. He said there was no filter in the air handler and the entire system was ruined. He then proceeded to try and coerce my wife into to buying a new system for $8,000. This was after having paid a home inspector and another a/c company do a pre-purchase inspections prior to buying the house. So, far the story is a Big Joke, LOL! Little to say, we passed on the opportunity to contribute to the owner of the 'big' company's "Hawaiian Vacation Home Fund." LOL! After that, I did what I should have done in the first place. I signed on with Angies List to do my research and found Anthony's Heating & Cooling. Donna (Mike's wife) was very nice listening to my tale of woe and in scheduling the service call. Mike (the owner) arrived right on time. He thoroughly assessed the situation. Now, Mike could have recommended a complete new system like the other company did and had a nice payday but, instead he recommended removing and cleaning the evaporator; a tough job that most of the guys that work for the 'big' companies couldn't do properly if they wanted to, which is probably why they recommend new systems. We have pets in the house. So, when Mike removed the evaporator it was covered with hair like a small animal. Mike normally gets them cleaned up with a chemical and strong spray from a garden hose. Ours was so bad Mike put it in his truck and drove into town to the self-serve car wash to give it a high-pressure spray down (no extra charge). Long story short, Mike got the system working and set us up with a 12-pack of filters- at about 1/2 the price we'd have paid even at Walmart. Mike even delivered the filters to our door! Since the service call by Anthony's Heating & Cooling, 6 months ago, the system has been purring like a kitten. Thank you, Mike and Donna!

He was personable, honest, friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and fair in his pricing. He really knows what he is doing.
