Description of Work: The were supposed to rehang some closet doors and fix another. They did not do either , did not charge me and told me they would have their brother-in-law call me because they thought he could fix the problem. I was never called by anyone.

Description of Work: They came to our house to assess the water damage to our roof and facia and gave us an estimate. Their cost was too high, although it was in keeping with another estimate from a different business.

Description of Work: We needed a pocket door repair and we had a leak in our windows that needed to be checked out. Mike responded quickly when I called and made an appointment for the next day. He was a little late, but called to tell me he would be so that was fine. Mike fixed our pocket doors immediately and did a great job. He came back another time to check out our windows. Mike has sealed them and we are waiting for rain to see if that fixes the problem or if he has to do more. We will be having Mike back for other repairs when we need him. I am very glad to have found Mike.

Description of Work: Replaced a buckled tile floor. Excellent workmanship and no supervision needed. Pricey but sometimes peace of mind is worth it.

Description of Work: We last used American Handyman Service in August to install a kitchen sink and faucet.

Description of Work: American Handyman responded quickly and provided an estimate for the work we needed. His estimate was high, so we reduced the amount of work we asked him to do. The revised estimate was still quite high, but he was able to meet our timeframe so we hired him to install cabinets in our bathroom, frame in a small linen closet in an existing doorway, move a light fixture and install a ceiling fan/light in the bathroom. We also asked him to connect our gas dryer and range. The ceiling fan/light made an unfortunate noise after installation which he came back and repaired. However, the gas stove was not installed properly. American Handyman came over to check it out, and told us the gas smell would eventually go away. As it turned out, there was a significant leak at the valve which we had to have repaired by a plumber. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
