Sales and installation went very well. Their price was not the lowest, but it was competitive. We chose them (we got bids from 3 companies) ultimately because of Jim Mouser, the owner. His product knowledge was excellent. He participated in the installation and worked to be sure everything was functioning perfectly before he left our home. The installation was done in one day.

They came out and did a function check on the air conditioning. They basically were coming out and making sure that everything was still in working order and that was a prepaid contract, I think for two years I paid like $300 or something like that for them to come out every six or eight months or so. It was basically an additional service that they offered. Waht that included was them coming out every six months or so to take a look at it check the coils, check the entire HVAC system to include the central air unit inside the garage and they basically just checked everything out, made sure everything was in working order and cleaned up necessary components and so on and so fourth and gave recommendations on future work that needed to be done. They were always very punctual. They would call me ahead of time to schedule an appointment, then I would be home. Technicians were always very prompt, very professional, they explained what they saw, made their recommendations, didn't pressure to try to get me to do maintenance. They just said hey this needs doing at some point and here's our recommended time frame. Would use again, especially for the maintenance work that they did.

i have a contract with this company. They come twice a year for regular service. They have been great! They have made minor changes to my unit to make it more efficient and have installed a new thermostat. I have only praise for their professionalism, promptness and courtesy. Several of my neighbors have begun using this company and I often hear how pleased they are. I highly recommend them

I worked with the AC manufacturer, Lennox, ad hoc and had been advised to contact an HVAC professional to measure pressure in the system. My AC ran intermittently for a random amount of time, never reaching the dialed in temperature. I called American Conditioned Air. Someone in the office I assume fielded the call, took my contact information, and advised that a tech would get back to me. The office didn't handle the scheduling. The service manager did that and they were on a call. They had no estimate when I would receive a callback. I waited an hour then called another company because if the company was to busy to get back to me during peak demand then what would happen if I had a problem? I wish I would have stayed with that thought. During the call to another vendor, the service manager called and offered a significant price reduction and immediate availability. I took him up on the offer. The only reason they got my business was dead president logic. The truck rolled up 25 minutes later. That was the end of any chance of a good customer experience. The capacitor for the condenser fan/compressor was out of specification and I had replaced the capacitor prior to calling. I had also replaced the drainage tubing for the condenser coils as well as replacing the weather beaten insulation on the condenser line outside. I did as much as I could prior to contacting anyone. I realize that intermittent problems are the hardest to solve because they can only be properly troubleshot when the unit is exhibiting the behavior causing the unit to fail. So I was onboard and aligned with American's personnel by virtue of science, logic, and linear troubleshooting prior to the tech's arrival. Long story made short is that the technician lost my confidence by a) not advising me of the logic they were using to arrive at their conclusions b) insisting that I recognize their quality as a technician by virtue of their service time as a technician. I judge by quality of work performed, sorry c) patronizing my efforts prior to their arrival. The tech stated "you kind of tried to help". d) advising they couldn't complete the job because they didn't have the part they claimed I needed on their truck. The part was a condenser pump and I am sure that he didn't want to replace the pump because he wasn't confident that the issue would be resolved. This company needs to learn the meaning of service. The tech alienated me, the home owner, the person that lived where he was visiting almost immediately. I regretted my decision within 5 minutes of American's arrival. I can't recall ever being so dissatisfied with a repair person. I would recommend that everyone steer clear of this business because of those reasons. At one point the tech was waving around a card displaying their certification qualifications. Such qualifications mean nothing if you don't deliver service first and foremost. My experience with the service manager and this business was anything but service oriented. I perceive the truck roll fee was a waste of money. I will not call this company again and recommend you do the same.

It didn't work well and the manager came to my home and readjusted the system. It was running continuously or would run and shut off for a while and then come back on. This was happening continuously. The manager also changed out the thermostat because it was defective. I was also told the system was American made, but this proved to not be true. The unit was put together in the US, but the parts were made in Mexico. I felt the manager misrepresented the unit as American made. The manager had to come out again after this follow up on my complaint. So, it took two more viisits to get the unit to run properly. I have never had so much trouble upon the installation of an HVAC system. I began to question how good this company was and felt that I could have gotten an Energy Efficient system from another vendor. The manager told me that they didn't sell an Energy Efficient unit in my price range of $4,812. A friend of mine got another popular brand for less than that and it was Energy Efficient. I was disappointed with everything having to do with this purchase. I threatened to return the unit, but since the manager did finally manage to adjust it so it wasn't clammy, humid, hot or coming on all the time. A disgusting experience.

They are excellent. They give prompt service and excellent work. I think their pricing is reasonable. I purchased 3 air conditioning units from them over the last 25 years.

Have used ACA for 15+ years. Last summer our main A/C unit quit working. Called ACA and received same-day service. They repaired unit for around $1200. Discussed that unit was more than 20 years old. I said, "Yes, we need to think about replacing it" (ACA had installed it originally). Response was that if we replaced it now, there would be no charge for the repairs to the old unit. That was an "offer we couldn't refuse". Ordered a replacement unit, which was installed two days later. ( Note that repaired system was cooling in the meantime ) This is the third unit we've purchased from American Conditioned Air in the last 24 years (We have two, so, one 23 years ago; second unit replaced 5 years ago, and the first unit again last summer) We continue to be impressed and pleased with the pricing, responsiveness, and service received.

Have used American for over 15 years, they have installed and maintained 4 separate units for me.? Their prices are reasonable and honest.? Needed a replacement unit so had American quote and also had a second quote done.? American had the lowest price but the size was 1 ton over what the other supplier estimated.? I investigated and relialized that they had done a poor job of estimating the load.? I also had some of the previous ducting replaced and the unit moved to be more quiet.? I was also informed that the previous installs do not meet code and no permit was pulled for the previous installs that American had done.?I have a service agreement and will continue to use them since their service people are great but they need to do some improving on there systems installation calculations.

We’ve been using them for five or six years. They come right out if there are any problems, they come when they say they will, and they do a good job.
